Because I raise aussie puppies, everyone is wormed. They would gag and vomit out the substance I was using previously. If they refuse treatment, it will not be effective! Fortunately, they all adore this (I have to do the mouth distribution because they still get most of their nutrition from nursing still). So it goes without saying that I'm overjoyed and that this makes deworming 10 puppies at once so much simpler. Simply said, the bigger dogs need more than one "dosage" and it can be difficult to get them to be patient while you keep attempting to get a full dropper, thus it would be wonderful to be able to get an entire dropped full and be able to adjust over merely getting 1/2 or 1/4 of a dropper. My initial worry was that my Feral Kitty would stop eating after I added this to his food, but he continued to eat like a champ. Although my new rescue dog had diarrhea, he had a good appetite. I was quite patient and thought that he was just getting used to the new diet. I stopped eating grains and added probiotics, but nothing worked. Fortunately, I learned that SLIPPERY ELM would help his feces become firmer, but every time I tried to wean him off of the Slippery Elm, the diarrhea returned. The slippery elm helped us get through this situation, and I would advise anyone with a dog who has diarrhea to use it until you figure out what is actually causing the diarrhea. It relieves the owner's burden of constantly cleaning up diarrhea, and the dog feels better because slippery elm coats the stomach lining. I took him to the doctor for a stool test, and the results were unfavorable. Assuming that an overabundance of harmful bacteria in his gut was to blame for the diarrhea, the veterinarian decided to start him on oral antibiotics. I am really hesitant to take antibiotics unless I am certain there is no other option because they caused my previous dog to develop serious inflammatory bowel illness. Vets seem to give antibiotics far too frequently, which destroys both good and harmful flora in the stomach. Giardia is a common cause of diarrhea in dogs, and according to what I've read, stool samples sometimes miss the protozoa since the cysts aren't always passed along with feces. I chose to try panacur instead of antibiotics because it isn't supposed to have many, if any, negative effects. Giardia protozoa will be killed by taking Panacur for 6 days, and then again for 6 days after 21 days to ensure that no new cysts develop. There it was! My dog's diarrhea was completely gone after just a few days on Pancur and never came back. I wish to assist others who might experience the same issues with my review. PS: I used to regularly take my dogs to the dog park, but now I only take them on leashed walks because I think dog parks are a common site where giardia is contracted (don't allow your dog drink from the water bowls there, and they can also catch it from other dogs' waste that is lying around).

It's also simple; just take 1 tablet twice, and you're done. Let me be clear about administration. Dogs must be dewormed twice, two weeks apart, for a total of 14 days. You should be aware that the first pill in a box of two is for the first round and the second pill is for the second round if you purchase a box of two. Because this medication, like the majority of wormers, only kills adult parasites, you must repeat the treatment after two weeks. By then, the parasites will have matured enough to be killed by the medication but not yet mature enough to begin laying eggs. If you don't smack the dog twice in the two weeks, you'll have to start over, which is presumably why you hear people complain that it didn't work. This thing works; I've dewormed hundreds of dogs with it, and each time they tested clean. It also kills tapeworms, which is a bonus because not many dewormers also kill tapeworms and other worms. Be alert and give the medication when your dog has plenty of time outside to go potty if they have a significant worm load, which can cause diarrhea within the first 8 hours. This cheaper option was one that I hesitated to order, however it is the same same item as the more expensive listing.The drug was sent in its original, unopened retail packaging. The retail package contains a seal that protects the real drug. Both a "lot number" and an expiration number, which is in around 1.5 years, are printed on the outside of the box. Conclusion: I'll reorder this particular product after listening to it, and I'd advise you to do the same.Advice: I pounded the pill until it resembled powder and then combined it with one can of wet dog food. UPDATE: After a week or so, I thought about doing this again. I used a different approach and added it to a cup of milk. She devoured it! For a dog who won't consume it in their food, this is a fantastic workaround! Hope it works out nicely.purchased a new puppy from a shelter. Although she showed no signs of having parasites, we still decided to attempt deworming her just in case. I added it to her regular wet food. She is already a picky eater, but when her food contains this, she ABSOLUTELY REFUSES to consume it. After much battle and progressively adding bits of egg till she finished it, I finally got her to eat it the first day, but she won't touch it or eat any of it anymore. Fortunately, it wasn't expensive and just cost $5. But if your dog is fussy, you should avoid taking this path!

Unexpectedly, this functioned better than the one at the shop that cost two times as much. You must realize that it is not intended to destroy the worms. According to them, the animal's own defenses do the work while it aids the immune system.After putting my poor cat through excruciating pain with that piperazine(sp?) substance, I learned that the worms were not round as we had been initially led to believe. A local expert apparently doesn't understand what they're talking about because hook and round worms are VERY different from one another (they told us that round and hook worms were basically the same). not with regard to medications, though.Our cat would exhibit very poor behavior after receiving treatments with harsh chemicals, acting very lethargic and erratic in his energy levels... Which, apparently, indicated that neither the medication nor our problems had been resolved. Several poop are let out, but you're still in excruciating pain. We had to take a different approach.This medication worked reasonably well the first time I tried it. but was bought at the national network of pet stores nearby. It didn't have the same smell as this, but it wasn't quite as unpleasant as many of the chemical medications on the market. It almost smells like isopropyl alcohol and has a faint odor of a hospital or doctor's office. The cat, however, was unconcerned the first time or with this batch of internet orders.Within days, she felt better, her coat looked nicer, she stopped running around like a crazy person, and overall, there were no adverse reactions (unlike when we tried Sentry, which is supposed to have a salmon smell/taste and our cat would refuse to eat even her favorite foods with that product on it).Overall, I believe that the first batch of this I bought (from the neighborhood shop) was just stale.
