These are adored by our Coonhound! Except for his cow hooves, he is not at all possessive. He dislikes to give things away! Every now and then, when our Bichon tries to chew them, our Coonhound begins to yell and weep like a young child seeing someone play with his or her toy, which is funny. These are ideal for when he needs to be entertained or is bored. They are fantastic for dogs with big, powerful teeth and last for a very long period. The smell is the sole drawback—and they smell HORRIBLE! However, it's bearable. We put up with the scent, the brittle small pieces that occasionally break off, and the fact that our dog loves them so much that you can only truly smell them close up. It's possible that treading on such bits could be worse than stepping on LEGOs. However, they continue to make our dog happy, so in our perspective, they are still worth it. They're a fantastic substitute for rawhide, which we'll never offer our dogs.

They're excellent! They don't cause my dog any gastrointestinal problems and amuse him for a few hours (pig ears, smoked bones, etc. have all given him diarrhea). I'll keep purchasing these so I'll have them on hand for when it rains and he gets bored.
