A few of them, broken in half, were given to me by a relative when I visited her house a few months back so I could give them to my dog. He started leaping about when he smelt them in my pocket when I arrived home and I finally gave him one. When I handed it to him, he immediately began to play with it and flip it around before he began to eat it. He enjoyed them so much that I started buying them, but I can't break them in half since they are too floppy, so I just feed him one whole one every day. Even while my dog likes other treats, she does not behave in this way around them. He now keeps an eye on where I keep them and cries out every morning for one! Because of the way he interacts with the dogs, my husband claimed it is almost like catnip for dogs. Now that my dog adores these so much, I have to make sure I never run out. He must be able to smell them since he gets so excited and attempts to assist me in opening the Amazon package, or occasionally an envelope, when it arrives. The breed of my dog is a beagle with a touch of cocker spaniel. I usually make sure I'm home and watching him while he eats it since he once spun it around and it went under my bed where he chewed the footboard in an attempt to get at the Greenie. Wonderful treat, and I also liked the toothbrush form!

The pickiest eater is a 65-pound Golden Collie mix that I own. He has seasonal allergies up to Ying Yang, won't eat dog food unless it is thoroughly combined with a raw egg, and, until approximately three years ago, wouldn't accept any dog treats, no matter what we threw at him. Regular milk bones, rawhide, special goodies from a "cookie bar" at a pet shop, and pigs ears were all things we tried (yuck). Whatever it was, we tried it! My neighbor at our new home adores Henry, and she faithfully walks him for a solid 1-2 hours every morning (depending on weather). After their walk, she started giving him a Greenie, and now this family always has them on hand. He adores them so. Everyone is unconcerned that they vanish in a matter of minutes. I'm just overjoyed that we've found something he likes. He typically receives one in the morning and perhaps 1-2 more throughout the day. Two 36oz boxes of the large treats should last for approximately a month. I often get two boxes at the beginning of the month, and they practically last me through the entire month. Again, I don't purchase any additional treats or toys for him, so the money is really not an issue. Bones and squeaky toys don't appeal to him. He enjoys playing with balls, but we only do it outside, and a single tennis ball can last him years. If I only spend once on my four-legged pal, and he adores them, it will be money well spent!

I have a dorky, a yorkie and dachshund mix. She's adorable. My child. I adore her as if she were my child and will cut someone to defend her. When these are released, recording my dog will be my top focus. We've been having these sweets as part of our bedtime ritual for at least 7 years. At 4 years old, my Yorkie is no longer a puppy, yet she still enjoys tiny chewy snacks. There are quite a few tiny, square, softish snacks in this small bag of treats. They are delicate and little larger than a dime (see image). To chew these, not much is required. That is perfect for small puppies, of course.The first two ingredients, lamb and salmon, are quite delicious. These are fairly healthy and small enough that even if I give my dog a few a day, they won't put on weight. Although the cost is higher than huge packs of sweets with dubious contents, I can live with that. Given that puppies' digestive systems are still developing, I would take extra precautions if my dog were still a puppy.As I have read in other reviews, I have not experienced any problems with my dog's watery stools or gas. She might be older, or perhaps it's just how some dogs and puppies respond to different foods. Two or three of these tasty treats each day are all my dog needs to be content. I wish I could buy them in larger quantities, but I think that would counter the purpose of limiting the number of treats my dog receives in order to prevent her from gaining weight. These have good ingredients, and my dog like the texture and flavor of them. I would feel okay about giving these goodies to a puppy. Naturally, I would cease using the puppy if it had any negative affects on my digestion. However, if not, I would still give my puppy a treat because they are healthy treats.
