As soon as the mats arrived, I laid them out. Humphrey jumped on the chair covered by the rug to warn us when a bumble bee lit on a blooming bush in front of the bay window in my living room in a matter of seconds. We tried using items like chairs and lids to try to keep the pets off the furniture, but it didn't work effectively. I came upon these workout mats and decided to give it a shot. Our pets are being kept off the couch well. A slight charge exists on the mat, making it uncomfortable to stand on. I'm hoping that eventually they'll realise how uncomfortable the couch is and decide to avoid it. We have had fantastic success with it thus far, and it is far better than stacking items.

When we first got our new puppy, this mat helped us keep her contained. She is clever since she figured out how to climb the fence by crawling up the wall. (I should have let you see her!) We needed to figure something out, so we googled the issue, saw this mat, and then discovered it on Amazon. I wasn't sure if it would function as we required, but it did! After putting in the batteries and reading the instructions, I started using it. I tied it together with clothespins and stretched it over the top of the gate next to the wall, where she crawls up and over. It has three levels of shock, and I started with the middle when I switched it on to shock and generate noise. To be fair, I touched it, and it reminded me of the way my siblings and I used to rub balloons on our heads to create static in our hair, then touch each other to experience a shock. For a split second, it hardly hurt, but I figured it would prevent my puppy from escaping her territory. It did! After just two attempts, she never even attempted to flee again. It's only a correction after she done something incorrect; it's not cruel. I enjoy it and advise anyone who wants to keep their pets out of a specific area to use it.

Every morning when I wake up, I hear my cat scratching at the door of my bedroom, demanding for breakfast, and I couldn't tolerate it. Double tapping the door didn't work, despite my efforts. resorted to purchasing this exercise mat. I'm happy to report that it performs as promised. The right size to place in front of a door. My cat has learned to stay away from it since the first day I started using the sound and shock mode. The controls are well-designed and simple to operate (my cat is difficult to frighten; she scratches on sticky doors and is not terrified of the vacuum). It's really lightweight and difficult to fold. My only enhancement recommendation would be to increase the mat's wiring to increase its sensitivity to touch because frequently when my cat swiftly steps on it, nothing happens. The rest of the time has been fantastic!

The mat did a terrific job. I put it on my counter because my dog kept climbing up when we weren't home. She would remove everything and anything from them. She once leaped up onto the mat, and she hasn't done so since. In fact, we have been able to just spread the mat out without turning them on. I hated that it had to come to this static mat, but a cat has to learn to respect boundaries at some point, and this mat will help her do that. It only took her twice to do so, and the blinking LED works wherever you place it; I no longer even turn on static; I just use the tone setting, which will not shock her. I touch it a few times before using it; it doesn't give me a painful shock, but you won't want to keep your hand there or want to go back to the place where you don't want the cat to be. The light alone will keep the cat out of the area you don't want her in.

Before, I owned one of these shock absorbers. My kid was the first person startled, not the dog I was trying to keep out of the kitchen. She stepped on it, which caused it to beep and give her a mild shock. Prior to actually purchasing it, I was unaware of how badly I needed this. It includes two training mats, a shock level control mechanism, and very detailed instructions. The lowest level is more of a pulse than a shock, letting you know that your mats are functioning. Although the medium level is still extremely faint, you can still feel it, and my cats detested it! Despite being a slight shock, the high level is not painful. My cats like to door dash, therefore I keep the mats near the front entrance (major problem for cats). Every time I move to open the door as they approach, zap! They won't be able to get there on foot because of it. They eventually decided to cease hanging out near the entrance.Additionally, one of my cats enjoys reaching under my closed door to scratch the carpet. I use it to slide it under the door for the night so my carpet won't have to be scratched. This device could literally save your life. I have no doubts about its capability to keep pets off of couches or counters as well! I would certainly advise getting extra mats if you have a large dog or multiple trouble areas!

Our two dogs have been trained to keep off the chairs and couches using a number of these mats. Ever though I am unable to confirm whether they operate when we are abroad, I can confirm that if one of the dogs hits one of them while we are at home, they vanish before you even realize what has happened. Everyone nearby finds it annoying, with the exception of my son, who appears to enjoy making the entire home deaf.The second one to be opened out of the five that are currently in use was a dud. I opened it up to check what might be wrong since there isn't really a warranty for these and discovered some poor soldering that had allowed one of the battery lines to come loose. The mat might have been shipped back, but a quick two-minute fix had it working again.
