The vest is gorgeous. I purchased one from a different seller the previous year. Because this vendor offered the product for the lowest prime price, I decided to use them. The vest is made of the same material as the one I had purchased around a year ago. I chose to get a new one because the velcro on the old one (from a different vendor) was coming off. This product's velcro is stronger but thinner. If it starts to wear off, I'll update my review. For my medium springer spaniel, I chose a large size as well (42 lb). The big (this one) covers his back almost to the tail but fits a touch loosely. The medium fits well but does not completely cover his back. But it isn't slipping off of him. In Alaska, I take my dog for a daily 6 a.m. walk in the pitch black. His vest makes him simple to identify from a distance.
