I can rest easy knowing that I'm giving my dog a treat that he enjoys rather than one that could kill him due to contamination from foreign chemicals. They are free of gluten, wheat, maize, or soy. Our dog is completely fixated on this reward. He is a Brittany pup who is around five months old (so just nuts - like The Shining meets Jack Nicholson on a bad day). He is a military-trained obedience machine when we have these. His leg was stretched to preserve the shoulder-leg heel stance as he stood rapt at attention with his eyes fixed on yours. He let you to move around him and go and return back using any elaborate footwork you like as he sits, downs, waits, and remains. Give him a bite of the jerky right away. It's ominous.We prefer these since they are simple to break apart into even very small parts (imagine less than a split pea) for training. Our dog obviously loves them for his own reasons. That's more than enough for them to detect it with just a whiff. To keep him from becoming overly reliant on them, we mix these in with other goodies and plenty of kibble for each training session.Although we usually buy the turkey variety, the chicken varieties seem to be simpler to tear into training-sized treats without simply collapsing. If you cut the turkey ones too thin, they sort of fall apart.

Even though my chihuahua is a picky eater, she adores this product. She previously like the Nudges beef jerky treats that I had previously bought, so I decided to try the chicken jerky flavor to see if she would enjoy it as much. And she does! Go gentle on her; she gets so delighted when I put these goodies in front of her that she almost refuses to eat her usual food thereafter. According to the instructions, there should only be one goodie every day. For smaller breed dogs, these are simple to cut into smaller pieces. It's wonderful to be able to rip up the treats into smaller bite-sized manageable pieces for small dogs like mine because putting the entire piece out for a toy breed like mine can be a little too much for the dog to eat at once.Given that my furry child is extremely choosy, I would buy any of the Nudges items based on how well they are welcomed. Buy and try if you're still reading this. I believe these will be as beloved by your best pet as they were by mine, and if not, I believe Amazon has a decent return policy for items like this.
