These are fantastic! Max concurs (begrudgingly). I adopted Max, a 12-year-old Shih Tzu, when he was 4 years old. Little is known about his past, but he arrived to us malnourished, with one eye closed, hating males, and in need of handling. I mention that to illustrate how he was scared of clippers, scissors, and even a brush. I gradually got him used to each, but even now he only lets me use clippers on the back two-thirds of his body. These grooming scissors are really fantastic. Sometimes I even use them on my own hair. The 7-inch long blades are very great. I later regretted purchasing a similar pair of Conair 5-inch at the same time. I had assumed the 5-inch blades would be better for trimming dog's feet and other such things, but they weren't. The 7-inch scissors can handle whatever I need them to. What I cherish* The handles have a thin rubberized coating and are really comfy, although they are not particularly sophisticated. My two spaniels have had maybe a dozen dog haircuts, and the blades are STILL razor sharp. They are really silent. I've used other shears with loud, tinny sounds. These have a very pleasant muted sound. The rounded tips look great. More dog flesh and dog eyeballs have been rescued by them than I like to confess. They have also prevented unintentional stabbings against the groomer, which is me.Overall, these shears are excellent, well-made, and reasonably priced. It's unbelievable that they are only $9. I'll keep buying these as long as I need dog shears.

I'm happy that the blue turned out darker for me than it did in the picture. One of my three dogs, a red beagle, only needs his nails clipped. Then there is my omg upkeep (rough collie), which is a German Shepherd mastiff mix. She's still young, so she's not too awful yet). She is afraid of the quick method of using electric clippers, so I decided to start grooming her myself (I was raised with collies and have done the grooming). I purchased these shears to remove mats and tangles from my fluffy dog. Though larger than intended and required, it serves its purpose. I take issue with how difficult it is to open and close. The box advises to leave it as is, but it appears like they were overtightened. Using electric clippers to shave away his fairly scant coat on his back and underside and kitchen scissors to trim other areas, I've been grooming my tiny long-haired chihuahua for a while. I was ecstatic to get this goods. My previous pair of fine scissors went missing when my parents visited and used them on their dog (yes, I see you mom and dad!). I trim my dog's hair as frequently as I can at home. Anyway, I made the decision to replace them with these. I enjoy the price and the container it arrives in, among other things. The scissors themselves are giving me problems since they keep catching when I try to cut, which is problematic when using them on a live dog that occasionally moves. They're excellent. A dirty terrier I own develops fur immediately in front of his eyes. Using blunt scissors definitely jumps out because of his generally shaggy appearance, but he must look! Both his eyebrow hair and the part at the inside corner of his eyes make it simple for the hair I trim to appear to grow that way. Amazing value considering the quality. They will be considerably better if you take them to a pro sharpener! Absolutely worth the money I spent on these. I'm overjoyed to have 4 separate, uniquely helpful pairs of scissors. The cloth is a wonderful touch to keep them clean, and the key makes adjusting the tension quite simple. I also adore the container they arrive in. I needed a case because I got tired of my scissors rattling about in my toolbox when I was moving around, etc. My scissors are kept safe in the case so they won't run into anything, and it's fantastic to slide them back in place between scissor changes while I'm grooming.
