We have been giving these chews to our two dogs, a Saint Bernard and a Yellow Lab, for almost three months now. I adore this item. We used a round of deworming medications from the neighborhood pet supply store after my son brought home a puppy, but it was awful getting him to take them and they didn't really work. I chose to give this one a shot, and not only did he accept it without resistance, it also works. We combined it with a little wet food and gave it to him; he didn't seem to dislike the taste. This item is fantastic. My dog's UTI was treated, and now she looks brand new. I would suggest this to anyone whose dog is experiencing UTI problems. It costs little and performs flawlessly. The bites are rather large and simple to reduce in size. Gigi is finicky, but with with encouragement she will eat them. They were very simple to incorporate into a dish.The veterinarian advised changing Gigi's diet to make her pee more acidic since she has crystals in her urine, which cause her to get a UTI infection. I bought some canned food from the vet, but for unknown reasons, the UTI reappeared very quickly. Maybe we should have received more antibiotics from the vet. So the UTI reappeared exactly three weeks later. When she moved, she was sobbing, and her rear legs were really delicate. I didn't want to take her back to the clinic, spend another $150, and then have her fall ill once more. I placed an order for them and tried them. She improved the following two days after taking them and was slightly better on the first day. By day 4, she was free of the UTI's effects. Purchasing these for her proved to be a great investment. Although every circumstance is unique, I would at least give a cranberry supplement a shot.The veterinarian also suggested operating to remove crystals and stones, but Gigi would still need to follow her acidic diet after the procedure. The surgery would have been a grave error in this situation. I'm glad I gave it a shot before visiting the vet once more. I simply had the impression that there would be no end to my trips to the veterinarian.Again, each circumstance is unique, but I'd at least give a cranberry supplement a shot.

The first few days I offered one of my dogs, a 51-pound Keeshond, these chews, he did not respond well. Since caring for animals can be very expensive, I made an effort to give him a little less than what was recommended for his weight. I started giving him chews based on his weight because it was not working for him and the poor little thing was still dragging his butt. He started to become better and better after a few days. These appear to be doing their jobs thus far. The beginning of April, we installed new sod and designated a section of the yard as a dog run. The majority of the time, our dogs utilize their designated area to relieve themselves, but occasionally, while they're out playing, they would mark the new grass. Even when the areas are thoroughly moistened, urine on new sod is a nightmare since the nitrogen overload would result in yellow patches in a matter of hours. Review on our initial vet visit. After speaking with the Glandex support service, I learnt that a total of 6 chews would be more suitable for our dog's weight. We purchased this for our 148lb Great Dane and gave him 2 chews in the morning and 2 at night. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until after using the product for about 100 chews. However, we increased the dosage to 6 just two days before his appointment with the doctor, and we continued to take the medicine for four weeks after learning that our dog had very full anal glands that need attention (I didn't want them expressed). When we went to the vet today (February 28th, 2018), the doctor noted that our dog's glands were softer, still a fair size, but not unduly full. I take this to mean that the product is working for us. We did observe that his excrement was significantly firmer and thicker, which is also positive. Last but not least, our dog used to lick his butt very frequently (at least once per day), but this has greatly decreased. I still catch him occasionally, but with some more time and the correct quantity, maybe we can persuade him to quit and restore the health of his glands. That STRAIN. If you are reading this, you are aware of that odor. Due to my two overweight pit bulls' grain-free diets, fish oil treatments for dry skin, and recent introduction of vegetables as treats (because, fat), "that scent" isn't being conveyed where it should be outside. Instead, it ends up on the couch when they are overly enthusiastic, in the bed after they have jumped out of bed, or on the carpet when they are startled and fart. I would wash the sheets, blankets, and everything else 5,000 times, but I swear I could still smell it even at work, as if it were permanently ensconced in my nostrils. Well. We are almost through the first bottle of this, so I thought I'd better write a review before I buy the second one, which I'm hoping arrives in a one-gallon bucket. Since they began working on this, we have had NO (zip, zero, zilch) horrendous reeking stink whatsoever; it didn't even take a week to start working; day one, we were in the clear (thank my lucky stars). Additionally, although it's not the product's intended use, you can tell they are now very, very satisfied after going because of how happy and animated their post-poop "interpretive dances" are. I don't know how well it functions on its own, which is the only reason I didn't give it five stars. I combined it with bromelain, a pineapple derivative I purchased from a health shop. The digestive aid bromelain. I included the forbid with it. My dog seemed to be having difficulty digesting things, as shown by the fact that her waste appeared so appetizing. Although it claims to start functioning in five days, it took me approximately ten days to detect that it was actually working. I was only given three of these packages by my vet. I enjoy that I was able to get a package of 12 packets from Amazon for a much lower price. I had a lot of it, so I persisted, and now my dog has been at last leaving her poop alone. It will significantly worsen the odor of your dog's excrement. You can't miss the fact that your dog has an accident inside the house. My dog needed to break this unhealthy habit immediately because as she was cleaning herself off, she infected her urinary tract. If I couldn't get her to stop doing this, it was really going to be a nightmare. I'll continue using my product till it expires. I anticipate she will have broken the habit by then. I have a young puppy. For puppies, this seems quite acceptable. I won't show you a picture of what it looks like, sorry!
