Antlers are safe for dogs to eat. They are a good source of calcium and phosphorus, and they help keep teeth and bones healthy. Antlers also help with joint health and can be helpful for dogs with arthritis.
Pig ears are a popular treat for dogs, and they can be a good source of protein and other nutrients. However, they can also be a source of bacteria and other contaminants, so it's important to choose pig ears that are clean and free of dirt and debris. If you're unsure about the quality of the pig ears you're buying, it's best to ask your veterinarian for guidance.
Yes, you can give your dog a chew every day. In fact, chewing is a great way to help keep your dog's teeth clean and healthy. Just be sure to choose a chew that is appropriate for your dog's size and chewing habits.
There isn't a definitive answer to this question as it depends on the dog. Some dogs may become more calm when they are allowed to chew on something, while others may become more agitated. It is important to observe your dog's behavior to see what works best for them.

My dog loves it, but I don't personally. God alone knows why, for the taste certainly does not like bacon. Not that I've attempted, anyway.Because it's the only toy he doesn't immediately trash, we currently have four or five in the house. Strong chewers will benefit from the plastic's extreme hardness. Keep an eye on your dog to make sure they are not injuring themselves since as it wears, the edges become fairly rough. Although the wishbone design is adorable, my dog finds it rather simple to grasp it between his paws while he chews on it. He closes his eyes and gnaws on it with such fervor that I can't help but feel a bit envious because, let's face it, we have way better things to chew than they do. I don't think I've ever enjoyed chewing anything as much as my dog enjoys chewing this.

We have a 90-pound American Staffordshire Terrier, and the size XL works best; the XXL didn't last as long because he can get his mouth inside it better to tear it apart. So far, this is the best toy I have found; our dog goes through it in about a month, but any other toys he destroys in about 20 minutes.

My whippet puppy has a nasty habit of attempting to eat bark and wood. For a while, I considered getting him antlers, but I'd heard they can occasionally damage teeth. Because my dog loves wood, I thought I'd give these a shot. He absolutely adores these things. Though he enjoys them both, mesquite is his favorite. They have a consistency that resembles raw bone and do smell like wood. On the card, it reads not for ingestion, yet they will undoubtedly do so. It will be a problem if your dog is powerful enough to tear pieces off. My razor simply scrapes away at it, removing tiny pieces that are approximately the size of a half-rice grain. Although eating this certainly isn't the best idea, I've seen my dog try to eat large 2" long wood splinters, and that's much worse. Similar to how bone chips would, this at least most likely merely passes without being noticed. It should be fine as long as the ingredients are inert. Hopefully.

God bless Kong toys! Nothing else really needs to be said, but I'll say it anyway in case there are more ignorant puppy parents out there like me. When I started using the puppy Kong in the extra-small size, my Maltese puppy was 7.5 weeks old and 1.5 pounds, and he performed wonderfully with it. Since he's so small, he's fairly easy to manage, but every now and then he exhibits puppy "crazies" like zooming around, being unable to concentrate because he's so excited, playing too rough, and becoming unruly. He's also smart because puppies learn by imitation, so it's important to instill good habits in them. I'm calming him down right now with the Kongs. I put him in his kennel with a Kong and fill it with the softened kibble we're introducing to him (and eventually dry food). As he concentrates on getting all the kibble out, it helps him to settle down (sometimes he succeeds, sometimes he fails, and occasionally he squeaks a tiny bit if he can't get it all, but he keeps trying!). I can get a relaxed puppy ready for the next activity or nap in approximately 15 minutes. Kongs will be in my arsenal for the rest of his life because there are so many techniques and fillers (easy internet search to find options). Even though he's a prissy breed, I'm grateful to have some Kongs to help him focus and play independently since prissy breeds, like more robust breeds, need to learn how to calm down.

I get the 12 lb shih-tzu/terrier mix the "wolf" size wishbone. She obviously can't handle it because it's too huge, but she still adores it and can control it with her paws while biting on the ends. As opposed to smaller bones, which frightened me, the extra-large Nylabone makes it simpler for me to watch over her eating and ensure that she doesn't suffocate on small pieces. She can't chew strong enough, therefore the larger bone lasts a lot longer. It's time for a new one when I see the small ends starting to fray and lift after around 6 to 12 months, running the risk of breaking off and causing choking. It just depends on how much she's been chewing to know when to get a fresh one! Currently on her fourth, I will gladly purchase her other ones in the future. She cherishes them! Lots of enjoyable chew time! Owner and dog are both really delighted. In order to obtain your dog the right size and to know when to change their Nylabone, I do advise that you watch over them and get to know their chewing patterns and chewing strength. Dogs enjoy chewing, but keep them secure by keeping an eye on them and replacing them as necessary.

My son is missed. I used to play with this cute little guy a long time ago. He served as my little pal. He was by my side while I watched TV. He snuggled up near my feet when I was lying in bed. He used to shower me with affection when I got home. Finally, I gave him this ball. He was overjoyed! I soon realized that my small kid had grown up and that this ball was now his dearest friend.Okay, let's be serious. Taz, my kid who is a full Shih Tzu, adores this ball. All I have to do is squeak the ball once if I want to find him and he isn't carrying it. He would sprint after hearing this ball from a mile away. Mind you, it's not just any ball; it's the purple one. His sister Lexy is responsible for the orange ones, who are entirely blame. Oh sure, he might play with them for fun, but old purple is his favorite binky. If he wants to use the restroom, he must first locate his ball and bring it with him. Find some old purple since it's time to go to bed. Get the ball and bring it to the dish because it's time to eat. Yes, he has his purple ball for couch time. A true Doggie-911 is when the ball rolls under the couch. He will keep barking at it until someone comes to assist get it!Just so you know, the ball has lasted for more than a year! Taz weighs about 16 pounds, so we have the small size, but it's fine for a dog down to 6 lbs. As you can see, choosing the hue is important, and I would like to do so as many of the other remarks.PROS: You won't need any other toys if your dog enjoys it as much as Taz does. The other toys in the home mean nothing to him. At times, I imagine that if I threw his ball there along with a steak, he would go for the ball.CONS: He enjoys squeaking this toy because it is squeaky. He will hide it, find it, and then play with it until his jaw is worn out, which can take him anywhere between 15 and 20 minutes. He occasionally decides to play squeaky ball at inconvenient times for my sleep routine, such as late at night. He cannot be stopped. I fear losing this ball since he would probably require counseling.

Both of our dogs adore this since it looks just like the genuine thing. The adolescent pit bull, Blue, usually destroys most chew toys in a matter of hours, but this one has lasted for more than a week and is still in good condition. They both have one now after we ordered another one in an effort to prevent any arguments over it. For both of them, so far, so good! It sort of separates, which is preferable to it falling off in large pieces all at once.

These are so beloved by my small-breed Chiweenie dog that we ordered six of them. We always keep them on hand to stop any undesirable chewing activity by giving him one of these right away. These are his absolute favorite toys out of all the chews and toys he has. We offer him one of them whenever we notice him beginning to chew something he shouldn't, and he happily devours it. I strongly advise!
If your dog is destroying things when left alone, there are a few things you can do to help. First, make sure your dog has plenty of toys and things to keep them busy. Secondly, crate train your dog so they have a safe place to stay when you're not home. Finally, provide plenty of exercise for your dog before you leave them alone so they're not full of energy.
If your dog is chewing on things he shouldn’t, there are a few things you can do to try to stop the behavior. First, make sure he has plenty of chew toys available. If he is chewing on something he knows he shouldn’t, try to redirect his attention to a toy. Secondly, if he is chewing out of boredom or anxiety, try to provide him with more exercise or mental stimulation. Finally, if nothing else seems to be working, you may need to consult with a behaviorist or trainer to help you find a solution.
If you're not sure if your dog is a heavy chewer, there are a few things you can look for. Excessive chewing can lead to damage to your dog's teeth and gums, so it's important to be aware of the signs. If you notice your dog is chewing more than usual, inspect their mouth for any damage. If you see any cracks, chips, or missing teeth, this is a sign your dog is a heavy chewer. Another sign is if your dog's gums are red and inflamed. If you're still
Most dogs love to chew on things, and hard toys are usually one of their favorites. While there are some risks associated with hard toys, overall they are perfectly safe for your dog to chew on. The biggest risk with hard toys is that they can break your dog's teeth. However, this is only a concern if your dog is an aggressive chewer or if the toy is particularly hard. If you're concerned about your dog's teeth, try to find toys that are made of a softer material. Another risk is that hard toys can splinter and cause your dog
No, you should not let dogs destroy toys. Dogs can destroy toys by chewing on them, ripping them apart, or by playing too roughly with them. This can create a safety hazard for the dog and cause them to ingest pieces of the toy. It can also be frustrating for owners when their dog destroys their toys.
Super chewers need stronger toys and bones to keep them entertained and from destroying your home. Some good options include: -Toys made of rubber or nylon -Bones that are roasted or smoked -Toys that can be stuffed with treats -Toys that are designed to be durable Whatever toy you choose, make sure it is the appropriate size for your dog and always supervise your pet while they are playing.
