Disc golf holes can range in par from 1 to 5, but most are par 3. The average hole is about 200 feet long, so it usually takes 3 shots to reach the basket. Some holes are shorter and only require 2 shots, while others are longer and may require 4 or 5 shots. There are also a few holes that are considered "par 6" because they are so long and difficult, but these are very rare.
Lighter discs are not necessarily better for beginners. It is important to choose a disc that is the correct weight for your arm speed and throwing style. Lighter discs will fly further for beginners, but may be more difficult to control.
Disc golf is a sport where players throw a disc at a target. The object of the game is to get the disc into the target in the fewest number of throws. The average disc golfer can throw a disc about 200 feet.
Disc golf is a sport with a simple concept: throw a disc into a basket. But how many baskets, or targets, do you need for a game of disc golf? The answer is simple: you need at least one target. However, most disc golf courses have 9 or 18 targets, just like traditional golf courses. This allows for a variety of hole layouts and difficulty levels. So, if you're looking to get into disc golf, all you need is one target. But if you want a more challenging and complete game, aim for 9 or 18

This practice aim is strong and enjoyable. Moving it around the yard is simple, and the price they are asking for it is clearly fair. Its five simple to assemble parts made me pleased. I enjoy taking it anywhere because it is easy to disassemble and rebuild. It's really easy to disassemble it and transport it once again by just sliding it back into the original box. For practice going back and forth, I'll most sure be purchasing a second one in the spring. I should mention that I secured the chains that move freely along the top rail with black zip ties. merely to keep them in the proper alignment with the other chains in the rows. I would have given this five stars without a doubt if the chains had been in welded loops like the others, eliminating the necessity for zip ties.

I assumed this would be comparable to the ordinary Black Hole because I already own the MVP Black Hole Pro. Everything is as anticipated. Although a little on the light side, the chains are more than sufficient for practising putting. The target is assembled with ease using threaded connections, and it rests perfectly straight. The inner chains on the inner ring slide back and forth rather than being anchored to a single place, which is the only true drawback I can identify with the first setup. This might result in the inner and outer chains aligning to enable spit through.

I think this is a nice product because of the reviews I read, but the packaging is subpar. Now that I've got it, I wholeheartedly concur. The first basket I ordered never made it to me since it almost made it here before being returned to the vendor for poor packaging. My money was returned. So I placed an order for another. It came today.Poor packing was used. The cardboard used to make the box is extremely flimsy and weak. It must either be improved upon or moved to a different box. In addition, the basket is essentially sitting loose in the box, with merely plastic enclosing each item. To truly safeguard it, it must be put into specially molded styrofoam. However, mine was actually in fairly decent condition. The basket was a little bit out of round, maybe due to shipment. But it wasn't too difficult for me to bend it back. After being put together, the basket looks and performs beautifully. So far, the quality appears to be good. In the space behind the chains on the center pole, I put some adhesive-backed felt. Although I enjoy the sound of the chains "clanging" when I'm on a course, it was a little too noisy in my backyard. The noise was halved by the felt.As long as you are aware that there is a possibility you could need to return one if it arrives damaged, I would generally recommend this. I deducted one rating for the package alone. Once the goods arrives unharmed, it receives five stars.

The best value! It is wonderful.Ordered on December 26th, 2016; delivered on January 6th, 2017; manufacturer MVP was off-line for the holidays. Sun King Discs Sports, the seller, thanked me for the transaction and sent me a letter with a sticker, a promotional code for Amazon, and information about the actual ship date. Excellent customer support from the seller.Comes in an MVP box that is tagged and branded. It would have been wonderful if the unit had been enclosed in a second outer box for added security and protection. However, shipping went without a hitch.Start with the rounded base of the basket. It is large enough to be placed in the backyard safely and is incredibly durable. To keep it off the ground, I'll set it on some concrete stepping stones. Ground spikes are also included with the base to further stabilize the object. The paint and welding all look fine. The lower pole is screwed into the base. Easy, simple. The catch basket is placed on top of the lower pole. The catch basket is strong and well-made. The paint and welding all look fine.Upper pole: Inserts into lower pole, sandwiching a basket. I've read accounts of people "deadening" the sound by packing the upper pole with foam sealant. I'll wait (for the time being) because I enjoy the satisfying "banging chains." However, I might acquire some bright tape (electrician/duct/hunting) and put a strip on the top pole as a "aimpoint" because I've seen this done at nearby courses using automotive reflective tape. The top rim is what really distinguishes this unit from all other home units available on the market. It has a professional appearance. adds some additional flair to the unit. Nice visuals and a logo.Top Cap: To keep everything together, a top cap is installed above the rim. I'm trying to figure out how to put a dowel rod, pvc pipe, or other object to the top cap to hold a flag for windage. I wish MVP will release a flag accessory.Chains: Nice zinc-plated chains are perfect for temporary outdoor use. The chains have a nice weight and feel. Without using two sets of Vice-Grip to remove the "s" hook, it is impossible to remove chains (either inner or outer). But why take chains off?Yes, some people do inquire about it. However, the reason I purchased it was for the twin set of chains, which matched the professional chains at the city park.Overall: A durable product that will last for years. I would advise anyone seeking for a home backyard practice to choose this brand or model (or fun). With this apparatus, it will be good to introduce visitors to the sport. It's not difficult for me to move around (guy, 6 feet tall, 220 pounds.). If you wish to place it in your car or auto trunk, it is simple to disassemble. But the unit might be too hefty for some people; in that case, the folding type disc baskets would be useful as a space-saving or lighter alternative. To preserve it in excellent condition, I intend to store this beneath the patio or covered with a barbecue grill cover while not in use.Bravo to Amazon, Sun King Discs, and MVP!Update: I did purchase some heavy-duty, non-adhesive shelf liner (similar to tool box drawer liner) and wrapped it around the top pole's lower half. This eliminated the "tinny" sound and gave the MVP Black Hole Pro a richer tone when struck. Additionally, I constructed a flag for the top out of some 1 1/2 to 1/2 pvc fittings so it has a wind indicator. For more, see my YouTube videos.

Everything arrived safely packaged and seems to be in excellent condition. The frame is made of thick grade steel, and the welds appear strong, so I believe they will last. Now that I've thrown a few hundred discs at it, I can confirm that it does catch them. Because of the large base, it doesn't appear to be in danger of toppling over even in a strong wind. And now for the awful news:First of all, I was quite upset to see that the holes on the higher pole were bored in the wrong location, preventing the spring lock from engaging. It annoys me a lot that I can't move it by picking it up by the pole without having the top fall off the base. Look at the image if what I'm saying doesn't make sense. About 1/8" separates the spring lock from the hole it is intended to snap into.the chains, second. Yes, it lacks a double row of chains like the better-quality baskets, but that's okay for a practice basket. You can catch 400' drives without it. The fact that the chain links are not soldered shut is, in my opinion, the major issue. If they didn't have some really sharp edges, this wouldn't be a major concern. When reaching in to get your discs, take care not to cut yourself.Third, because of the circular base, it will wobble if not placed on level ground. Even though it's not exactly vertical, the Innova Skillshot's tripod legs appear to be sitting pretty steadily. Every time I take it up to modify its position in an effort to make it less unsteady, the base slips off (see complaint #1). I feel like this would be a nitpicky complaint.Even if it isn't ideal, it still seems to be the least expensive "genuine" basket available. It will now serve as my practice basket for putting because it collects discs more like golf course baskets than the Skillshot does.

Today I received my basket. I was amazed with the quality even before I put it together. Everything, including the base, basket, and chains, appears to be well crafted. It required no tools to assemble, and it went together easily. Since it is the middle of winter and we are covered in snow, I will use it indoors until it starts to warm up a little, but I can already tell that it will be excellent for practising outside as well. I've made about 100 indoor putts tonight and haven't had a single problem with this basket, therefore I have no hesitation in recommending it to my friends.

The goods arrived quickly and was properly packed. After you put it together once, you can probably put it together in two minutes. Assembly is simple and painless. The basket makes excellent catches. A good 24 chain basket in this pricing range is hard to come by. Although the basket is reasonably solid when sitting, I wouldn't trust it on any kind of hill because it is quite top heavy. The carrying bag serves its purpose. It required some care on my part to get it to zip closed, but it does so.Overall, I don't think there is a practise basket that can compare to this one for the money, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone searching for one.

Discraft chain Star Lite is an affordable portable basket that was specifically created to Meet official pdga basket specifications. It's one tough portable
The elegant design requires no tools for quick set up and breakdown
The 7mm cage is strong enough to hold its shape for many years under Normal conditions
$234
I was searching for a sturdy, portable, all-metal basket. The MVP basket and this were my two options. Because Discraft is a Michigan-based firm, I purchased this one because I live in a neighboring state and normally enjoy their items.Although the general workmanship is good, I was quite dissatisfied with the threads on almost every single component. In fact, I was concerned that I would strip out the bottom pipe beneath the cage since the threads were so poor. I applied some anti-seize, ran a tap and die over all internal and external threads, and haven't had a problem since. However, I'm sure that 90% of the people who purchase this won't have a tap and die set available to them to clean up threads that really shouldn't need to be cleaned up.And one other thing, too. This basket can be a little noisy. I would advise adding expanding foam to the upper tube or pipe to try and calm it down. That was helpful to me.However, overall, a good value. Make sure all the threads are in good condition if you intend to disassemble it numerous times.

Easy Assembly: Place LED Disc Golf Lights face down from the top of the cage so they can illuminate the chains and basket in a vibrant glow. When done it almost looks like the chains are lit up.
$234
I purchased this item specifically to illuminate the chains during the illumination rounds in the fall and winter. The worst lit course in my neighborhood was where the real test took place. In addition to shining the basket without hurting my eyes, the lights also projected enough shadows to make low-hanging branches that were just beyond the flight path visible. The fade feature is a great choice for a hole-in-one send-off because it cycles through all hues. Setting the light on top of the cage or at the base of the pole is sufficient for me despite the fact that the magnet inside them doesn't seem powerful enough to keep it in place if you had a full speed drive hit on the top or rim. You are losing out if you don't own one of them.

COMPLETE SET: This complete disc golf set from Franklin Sports is the perfect yard game for a family picnic, barbecue, or other get together
$234
This is a fantastic option for outdoor play or other activities. I was quite happy with the price when we purchased a few of these for pitch and put practice in the yard. The discs included in the set won't be of professional grade, but the kids won't care. It will undoubtedly topple over in a 25 mph wind, but a 5 lb dumbbell will prevent that from happening, and it is remarkably stable in winds between 15 and 20 mph.In the two months that I have been using one of these, I have averaged roughly 100 putts every day and have noticed very little wear on the target's parts. To avoid placing too much pressure on the release button, the push button plastic on each of the targets I've received required to be slightly twisted out. The only thing that needs to be improved is the mechanism for locking the legs into place.
Disc golf is a flying disc sport in which players throw a disc at a target; it is played using rules similar to golf. The number of throws a player uses to reach the target is their score. The sport was first developed in the early 1900s, and the first formal set of rules was published in 1926. There are three main rules of disc golf: 1. The player must tee off from behind the designated tee area. 2. The player must throw the disc towards the hole, and it must land within the designated landing zone. 3
The baskets used in disc golf are called baskets, or sometimes targets. They are usually made of metal and have a basket-like shape, with a series of chains hanging down from the top. The object of the game is to throw your disc into the basket, or target, in as few throws as possible.
In disc golf, the targets are called "baskets." The sport is played with a Frisbee-like disc, and the object is to throw the disc into the basket in as few throws as possible.
Most people believe that a frisbee will fly the straightest, but this is not always the case. A well-thrown flying disc will travel in a straight line, but factors such as wind can cause it to drift off course. A flying disc with a more aerodynamic design, such as a kite or glider, is more likely to stay on course in windy conditions.
There are a few different types of discs that beginners can throw, but the most popular ones are the putter, mid-range, and driver. Putters are the easiest to throw and are great for beginners because they are very forgiving. Mid-range discs are a little bit harder to throw, but they are still pretty forgiving. Drivers are the hardest to throw, but they can give you the most distance.
A hyzer flip is a type of shot in disc golf where the player throws the disc with an initial hyzer angle, but uses the disc's speed and spin to cause it to flip over and fly flat. This can be used to get around obstacles or to extend the distance of the shot.
