Are smart pens worth it?

A digital pen is a pen that uses a digital ink technology. The ink is made up of tiny particles that are charged with an electrical current. When the pen touches a surface, the ink is attracted to the surface and the particles are deposited on the surface. The digital pen can be used on any phone that has a capacitive touchscreen.

Can I use a digital pen on my laptop?

Yes, you can use a digital pen on your laptop. There are a few things to keep in mind, though. First, make sure that your digital pen is compatible with your laptop. Second, keep in mind that you'll likely need to use a special tablet or mat in order to write on your laptop's screen. Third, remember that you'll probably have to calibrate your digital pen to your laptop's screen. But once you've done all that, you should be able to use your digital pen on your laptop just like you would use a regular pen and paper.

Do digital pens work on all touch screens?

Digital pens are designed to work with specific types of touch screens. There are three main types of touch screens: resistive, capacitive, and surface acoustic wave. Each type of touch screen requires a different type of digital pen.

Apple Pencil Review:

This works really well as an iPad Pro input device. While there are significant shortcomings, it excels at writing, drawing, and tablet touch control. Since using the pencil, I have observed the following benefits and drawbacks:Excellent in writing or drawing. Excellent at editing images and performing graphic arts.• When utilizing the tip as a touch control, it is incredibly precise. I even enjoy reading with it and underlining passages in books.• A spare tip that can be changed is included.• It has a lightning converter so you can charge the pencil with a lighting cord.• It immediately charges• When coloring a design, for instance, you can alter the pressure or the slope of the pencil tip to alter the darkness or the width of a stoke of a bush.• By lowering the daily window shade at the top of the screen and touching widgets, you can see the pencil's charge level. Your iPad's and the pencil's battery life will be shown.Cons: • Neither the iPad Pro nor the Apple Smart Keyboard support securing the pencil. • The cap covering the Lightning plug on the pencil is in no way linked to the pencil, making it very easy to lose because you regularly remove the cap to charge the pencil. A simple magnet or other mounting device would have been greatly welcomed. The supplied charging connector for the pencil is very small, and it also lacks a method of connecting it to a key ring or any other object. The cap does have a small built-in magnet so that it stays in place when it is installed on the pencil, but once removed to charge the pencil its lifetime is limited to human error of losing it. It is potentially easily misplaced and around the size of a little medicine pill. Like a cheap pen or a mechanical pencil, the pencil has no pocket clip at all. Do you not believe that would have been a great touch for $99?• It just feels like an accident waiting to happen to plug the pencil into the iPad Pro's side to charge it. I wonder how many people will attempt this and either break the pencil or the charging port on their iPad Pro.Overall, I'd still buy the pencil because it's a creative tool that hasn't been matched by other ways to draw, color, paint, or use a tablet yet. You can use a brush and hundreds of other painting special effects to create lines that are incredibly thin and scarcely perceptible. Amazingly, the screen's sensitivity to the pencil's touch makes it possible to operate your apps and artwork with extreme precision. The pencil uses Bluetooth to connect to your iPad, and after you insert it into the tablet's lightning socket, it prompts you to link it, which happens quickly. It is a 5-star tool that can only be used with the iPad Pro; it is incompatible with iPhones and older iPads. In my humble view, the drawbacks reduce it to a 4-star product. Apple has completely missed the mark when it comes to ease of usage, which includes transporting and storing the pencil. Please be aware that Apple sells the pencil for $99, so avoid paying more than that for the item. My own was sent by Apple, and I ordered it on the same day as my iPad Pro. I was annoyed by Apple's decision to introduce the device without any attachments, which had me wait 4 weeks to buy it. I've included a drawing I made with the Procreate program.

Original Surface Pen Tips Replacement (3 × HB, Default Tip) for 2017 New Microsoft Surface Pen, Surface Pro 4 Pen (Pens are NOT Included), Surface Pen Tip Kit(3 Tips) No Damage by Removal Tool Review:

The screen protector applied easily, covered my screen, and lined up with the camera places. It functions flawlessly. It has operated flawlessly for a year. Strangely, it does make the screen virtually matte in terms of reflectance, making it resemble a digital ink e-reader from a previous age.Only two issues prevent this from receiving a perfect score. The less severe one is that the bubble remover, cleaning pad, and application stickers are packaged on a little card that sinks to the bottom of the box. I attached my screen protector using painters tape and used an old library card to eliminate bubbles because I didn't see it at all when I merely slid the screen protector out and peeked through the (very effective and non-wasteful) folder-like packing. The use of this screen protector on a Surface tablet is the second and most important point. However, it feels oddly strange against the hand. Although it hasn't caused any harm, it almost has a soft abrasive sensation to it.

Wacom ACK20001 Standard Nibs Review:

I was aware that I would require new nibs for my Wacom Intuos Pen, and this bundle of five was ideal for swapping out my worn-out nibs. I don't mind spending $6.00 for five nibs because they last a good while. Naturally, I had a small concern that they wouldn't fit my pen, but they do! They all matched each other wonderfully. They were swiftly delivered and wrapped tightly in bubble wrap within a sizable envelope. That much caution was taken for tiny plastic sticks astonished me. Nevertheless, the packing was resilient because not a single nib was harmed. For anyone in need of replacement nibs for their Wacom Pen, I heartily recommend them.

Mixoo Capacitive Stylus Pen,Disc Tip & Fiber Tip 2in1 Series, High Sensitivity & Precision styli Pens, Universal for ipad ,iphone, Tablet, other Touch Screens Devices (Rose Gold/Black) Review:

I adore the way this stylus feels and looks! It has a strong "grippy" grip and a matte, smooth metallic finish:)It works beautifully with my Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 and is really accurate. There is no screen bouncing or skipping.I received the blue and black pens, and both had excellent color and no obvious physical flaws.I have so far only used the pen to doodle and poke at the tablet screen. I'm still getting used to using a stylus pen as a whole, so I find the fine tip side a little uncomfortable. I'm not sure if it is just me, but when it comes to drawing with it, I feel that the fine tip doesn't really help all that much or make a noticeable difference. Although it makes browsing and clicking links a bit simpler, that's not why I wanted to purchase it in the first place. The new tips are excellent. Each pen comes with a fine tip, a standard tip, and any tips that are already connected when it is delivered. Definitely worth the money, and I'd even say a touch generous,Overall: I have had no issues with this product so far and am very delighted with it. Excellent recommendation to a friend.

aibow Capacitive Stylus Pens for iPad, iPhone and Other Touch Screens [ Fine Point Disc Tip & Mesh Tip 2in1 Series ] with 4 Replaceable Disc Tips & 4 Replaceable Mesh Tips(Black/Rose Gold) Review:

I recently bought this item since I needed a stylus to utilize during class to write handwritten notes. I was happy to find that this pen comes with two alternative tips because the mesh tip on prior styluses I owned functioned ok but tends to wear out quite quickly. The fact that this product came with two styluses and four replaceable tips persuaded me to buy it as well. That seems like a reasonable price at $13.99. I don't remember how long it took to ship, but I do remember that I had no trouble getting it delivered, and it was probably delivered on schedule.I was really pleased with this product overall. I need a stylus that won't make a lot of noise when it makes contact with my iPad because I write with a lot of pressure. The minimal amount of noise that this stylus creates has me extremely happy. It moves smoothly across the screen without leaving any marks. Despite using this product nearly seven days a week and owning it for five months, neither of the tips needed to be changed. I experimented with replacing the tips and discovered that it's quite easy to do; I didn't even need any instructions.I am really happy with this product's capacity to maintain the legibility of my handwriting on my note-taking software. Anyone searching for a stylus for taking notes should consider it, in my opinion. I'd be a little hesitant to recommend it to someone who wants a stylus for graphic creative purposes. I'm aware that it draws well because I frequently doodle in class, but I believe a fine-tip stylus would work better for business-related tasks.Few Drawbacks: I mainly use the disc tip, and I typically have no issues utilizing it. On sometimes, my iPad doesn't recognize the tip, resulting in messed-up handwriting. I flip the stylus over and use the mesh side when this occurs, and it typically fixes the problem right immediately. Even though it's simple to fix this issue, I don't like using the mesh tip, thus it's a little aggravating.

Surface Pen, Adrawpen Microsoft Certified Surface Pro Pen with Palm Rejection, 4096 Pressure Sensitivity and Support 1000hrs Working Time for Microsoft Surface Pro 6/5/4/3, Surface Go, Surface Book Review:

What a wonderful thing to have! I've been in need of a backup pen for my tablet PC pen but didn't want to spend a fortune on one. I purchased this because it is compatible with another HP product that is comparable, but my own HP Pavilion actually used it just fine. I get all I need with this and it functions just as well as my original pen within my price range. It feels even nicer in my hand than my original pen, which is made entirely of metal. The buttons are snappy and function with the presets on my PC. This may also be fastened to my shirt or pocket while not in use, preventing it from rolling out of the way or onto the floor.

Mixoo Capacitive Stylus Pen, Disc & Fiber Tip 2 in 1 Series, High Sensitivity and Precision, Universal for ipad, iPhone, Tablets and Other Touch Screens, Model: Rose Gold Review:

WARNING: A cylinder of sturdy rubber is used as a means of securing the precision stylus with clear disk to the "barrel." The stylus writing disk can still make excellent contact with the device's screen even when the user holds the stylus at different angles, similar to how one would with a traditional writing pen. The stylus met all expectations in terms of smoothness, sighting that permits fine lines, and accuracy comparable to a ballpoint pen. However, the issue I have—and perhaps others as well—is that my screen is not that sensitive. I'm not sure what "capacitive" means, but if it refers to a screen's capacity to detect touch, my screen is rather insensitive. I had to press harder for the stylus to make touch with the screen, as a result. The rubber cylinder between the disk and pen barrel buckled as a result of the increased pressure. I personally doubt that this "buckling" will ever happen with newer, more sensitive screens. But the same "failure" might happen to you if you currently own an older tablet (as I do) and discover that you need to exert more pressure.I did come across a precision stylus with a tapered spring rather than a rubber connector while looking for a writing pen at a reduced cost. But because the pressure from the screen is so great, it might crimp or buckle in some way.I did discover that if you're searching for a stylus for handwriting, a 2mm tip works excellently. Don't be misled by the disk. This stylus produces fluid handwriting.I also had difficulties getting the larger tip to register on my screen, which suggests that my screen sensitivity is more of the problem than the stylus's design. Therefore, the chances are that the disk will never "bend" under excessive strain.

Evach Active Stylus Digital Pen with Ultra Fine Tip Stylus for iPad iPhone Samsung Tablets, Compatible with Apple Pen,Stylus Pen for iPad Pro, White. Review:

This is a fun small item to have, especially if you enjoy writing notes by hand and designing graphics for electrical devices. When I first received the item, I was impressed by the stylus's design. The sleek design was just "the icing on top," as it was lightweight and comfortable to write with.I largely utilized this product as a college student to take notes in class on my iPad and Surface Pro. The huge pen tips of the Surface Pen and Apple Pencil that I've tested in the past didn't suit my writing style. This one, though, has a smooth round end and a thin tip, so I can write with it like a regular pen without being concerned about damaging the screen. This test furthered my argument when I attempted to utilize the stylus on my iPhone. I've had this product for about a week and have used it every day for approximately two to three hours without charging. So far, there have been no indications that it would malfunction like some other inexpensive item I got on eBay.If you're searching for a small, simple-to-use stylus with a long battery life, I'd strongly recommend this one. It is far less expensive and performs better than styluses made by certain major corporations, like Apple and Microsoft. A simple 5-star rating is assured.

Wacom Intuos Pen (LP190K) Review:

I purchased a backup pen after accidently washing mine. I also put the replacement one through the washer a week and a half later. The original pen worked perfectly when I pulled it out of the bag of rice, as if nothing had happened.Additionally, despite heavy use and my propensity to put the pen in my mouth when I stop drawing for a while to type or do something else, the pens are exceptionally robust in general and have never shown any indications of wear.If you draw a lot, I would certainly suggest purchasing an extra pen so you won't have to wait for it to be serviced or for a replacement to be supplied. If I could modify anything about the pen, it would be wonderful if there was a small hole at the top so I could tie the useless thing to my tablet and stop losing it.

Livescribe 2GB Echo Smartpen Review:

The idea is fantastic. The application works just well. Okay sound quality. Overall, I use this for lectures every day. My lectures are all recorded, but I hardly ever publish them on the internet to be listened to afterwards. This is beneficial to students, and I think it has helped me study more effectively. This, along with other adjustments, helped me achieve a 4.0 GPA this term. I would endorse this idea, but I would also research whether there were any better options available. You'll need to spend money on notebooks if you buy this pen. The notebooks are currently unavailable in stores, and ordering them online is pricey. Although their website is less expensive than Amazon, shipping costs apply. I was only able to use the sample booklet it came with for half a semester. Additionally, you must purchase the ink cartridges (the off-brand one works just fine! ), since I used three in a semester. Although I would have preferred a darker ink, it's fine. They also offer smart pen cases, which I suggest you get. It can house the power adapter, headphones, and ink cartridges (They run out abruptly and without warning). Purchasing a case is a must if you spend $150 on a pen.If you are right near to the pen, the audio is excellent. Even if you are seated in the front row (Air conditioners are not smartpen friendly! ), it takes up the sound of the writing on the paper along with a lot of background noise. That is annoying and makes using their tool to listen to entire lectures and review notes incredibly unpleasant. You can upload and export audio files to third-party programs that can remove the pen scratching and some white noise. I will only utilize the audio feature to review information that I missed while taking notes or to replay information that I didn't quite comprehend because it is not flawless and requires more work than I am willing to put forth. Hopefully, they'll include a tool to remove background noise in the future because it makes listening to complete lectures uncomfortable. You may view everything being recorded as it happens when you upload your notes. If students can tolerate the white noise, I think the concept is incredibly cool and would be beneficial to their studies. It tracks your notes as they are written to make sure you are aware of where you are, but the entire page is still visible. There is a plug-in available, but it costs extra and can only convert EDITABLE writing. Additionally, I have sloppy handwriting, so I don't think that would be an option for me.I'm not holding my pen properly. I "fist" the pencils and pens. This pen IS PAINFUL. It's made of a big, tough plastic. By purchasing some peel-and-stick foam sheets from Walmart for under $2 and cutting out a little square, I was able to remedy this. For the past semester, it has been there and is still there. It is now cozy to hold and use for writing.I truly appreciate it despite my difficulties using all of the functions and the recordings. It is helpful to me, however I wish Livescribe will eventually enhance their program or that a superior solution would be developed based on this idea. Happy learning!
