Bear in mind that you are reaching down to cram the unearthly big diaper into an unfathomably little hole while holding your bundle of unending pleasure in one arm. A difficult task.We then came across the Dekor. It's great. Why? This is HANDS FREE. Changes the game. You simply drop the diaper through the trap door after pressing the foot pedal that unlocks the pail. I'm done now! Let me tell you, you need this process to be as simple as possible when it's 3 a.m. and you're a zombie from lack of sleep. The number of diaper changes I have had to make over the years makes me cringe, but using this diaper pail is far simpler than using the Genie.We also looked at the Ubbi pail, which is constructed of metal and costs somewhat more. I had a look at it in the store, and it too calls for stooping down, sliding a door open, inserting a diaper, then closing it after you're done. Every time you change a diaper, it might be a hassle. The main reason for this is that many people have the misconception that purchasing a diaper pail guarantees you'll never have to smell poopy diapers. When attempting to choose which Dekor to purchase, I wanted a review like this.After using the Genie for the past 21 months, I'm happy to move on. To get the diapers to drop, you frequently have to shake or rock the unit because of the sleeves. I occasionally had to push a large, full diaper in. Yuck. A size NB won't allow this to happen, but a size 4 will. The Genie sleeves are also a little more expensive.And I love it! The trap door closes very quickly and is spring loaded to accommodate the weight of a diaper. Since I don't have to shove the diaper in, the lower height is not a gripe of mine as I had anticipated. My lone concern is that the bags make noise when you remove them because they are made of plastic (think grocery sack). Not a big deal, but I did regularly collect them after the toddler went to sleep. It's simple for me to alter my behavior in favor of loving the pail! Additional causes to adore: price! (Open box, $32 Warehouse!)-replacement bag cost -canister shape -contains odors very effectively -sleek appearance -easy to remove bag -foot pedal -large trap door compared to Classic -lid can disassemble to create a garbage with a lid (I didn't verify this, but it was an added plus in my choosing of Dekor)Classic: Similar advantages to the Plus, but with a smaller trap door. If this is essential to you, look at the photographs. For a baby, it doesn't matter, but I prefer the size for our size 5 toddler diapers! Additionally, the classic holds a lot less diapers. When I performed the calculations, refills had the same price per diaper capacity.Overall, the Plus appears to be on par with the Genie in terms of capacity, is easier to use, retains the stench better because the trap door closes so quickly after each use, and is more affordable. When my two small dogs use the restroom, I temporarily dispose of the used "puppy pads" in this can. I place puppy pads on the floor of the bathroom in my flat since the elderly don't need to feel like they have to hold it all night (or all day). I can dispose of the used pads in the Ubbi can rather than making the arduous trip to the rubbish chute in the middle of the night. Even though the smell inside the trash is very bad, I never leave the used pads there for more than a day. However, once the can is shut, it does an excellent job of sealing the smell inside. I did discover that placing a small, open container of odor-absorbing cat litter on the floor of the can (so it lies below the bag and doesn't interfere with anything) does help to absorb some of the smell. I used an used plastic takeaway food container for this purpose. I've included a picture of my cat litter box inside a trash can. When you open the can, you'll still want to hold your breath, though! I tried utilizing a Litter Genie for the same purpose, but it wasn't only too little; the bespoke bags were also pricey and a pain in the neck. This is a much better option for my needs.

This pail is decent and reasonably cheap, but for an additional few dollars, I improved it much more.THIS IS HOW1. Remove the cup by opening the lid.2. Take out the false coin "deodorizer," which is useless, and dispose of it in the garbage (where it belongs).3. To make the cup resemble a whiffle ball, drill properly spaced 1/2" or 5/8" holes into it. (see images)4. Purchase some used tights (with no holes in the toes)5. Fill the toe of the pantyhose with some activated carbon pellets to form a "ball" that will fit inside and fill the cup that has been drilled. Perfect carbon is this: Black Diamond Activated Carbon, 10-Ounce, 283-Gram, Marineland PA03715. Trim off the "pantyhose ball's" top and knot the remaining portion. Make sure it fits entirely inside the diaper pail's cup.6. Reattach the cup to the diaper pail after filling it with "pantyhose carbon balls" (see pics)VOILA! You now have an incredibly odor-absorbing insert that, in my experience, virtually eliminates the stench of stinky diapers.Use scented kitchen rubbish bags to further cover any odors if necessary. Simply produce another activated "pantyhose carbon ball" and put it in the cup if you notice the scent returning. With nearly 11 months' worth of foul diapers from two babies with the same "pantyhose carbon ball," I still don't have any diaper pail odor. The carbon will endure for AGES! (Caveat: When you open the pail, there will undoubtedly be an odor; nevertheless, when it is closed, the carbon absorbs the aromas and the pail emits none.)For a visual of how I accomplished this, see the photographs that go with it. I'm not sure why this has gotten such a poor rap. It's definitely different from the previous model, and change is difficult, but it's still a fantastic diaper pail.Some reviews claim that after there are a few diapers within the container, the bag's top sealing mechanism fails to seal. The bag is not properly adjusted. With the refill ring, tie a knot at the bottom of the bag, making sure that a few inches of the bag touch the bottom of the pail ABOVE the knot. (CLICK IMAGE.) If this is the case, the diapers' weight is resting on the pail's bottom rather than pressing down on the closing mechanism. Since you still simply cut off the piece of the bag that contains diapers and pull the remaining portion down to use later, there is no waste.Some reviews bemoan the lack of smell in this product. Every time I change the bag in the pail, the baby always poop in the first diaper. Even though I am aware that the pail will remain there for some time before being emptied once more, I nevertheless place the poopy diaper inside. Never is there any smell. When I change the bag, I dump the old portion into our kitchen trashcan (where it also occasionally sits for a while), and the garbage then just smells like the Arm

Our Dekor diaper pail smelled, so we ordered this. The odor prevention is significantly better than the Dekor. Despite this, there are some problems.- Effective odor protection- I like the snap lid.- seems strongYou must push your diapers into the pail, which is a drawback. Due to the twist mechanism, the opening is rather small and the slot is extremely narrow. Therefore, when inserting diapers into the slot, you get messy.The bags are really narrow. So it appears that we are switching bags more frequently than we were with the Dekor.Since we've only had it for a few weeks, I can't comment on its durability. But it seems to be sturdy.Despite a few minor drawbacks, I would select this over the Dekor if I had to pick one. It would receive five stars if the entrance were a little bit broader and the lid could be locked.
