SRIWATANA Bookends Black, Decorative Metal Book Ends Supports for Shelves, Unique Geometric Design(1 Pair/2 Pieces) Review:

These bookends' 3D design is gorgeous. I was a little anxious when I ordered them because I needed to hold numerous tall volumes, some of which were hard covers and others were paperbacks. The books along my headboard have remained in place. After the required 2-4 volumes are placed on top of each bookend tab, I have not had any books slip out or push the bookends. The fact that the bottom of the tab, which is lined with a soft material akin to that found in jewelry boxes, does not move around unless I deliberately move it, pleases me. I currently have about 30 volumes in the bookends, but I am sure they can store twice as many. I was worried that the small unprotected area around the tab's edge might scratch my headboard, but the soft material is thick enough that, even with heavy hardback books on the tab, the metal does not cause any damage. I am happy with my purchase and want to buy more to replace the fragile animal bookends that are currently holding my child's books upright.

Fasmov Art Bookends,1 Pair(Black) Review:

These are OUTSTANDING! The calibre of these really astounds me. They are sturdy enough to support books. However, I currently use them as dividers on my bookcase by spacing them apart. They appear quite professional. I'm so used to using inexpensive bookends that mimic wood. Despite my belief that it is not necessary, I did cover the bottom of them with felt. Assurance that they wouldn't damage my bookshelf was all it was. This is something I would have done with any purchase. They are strong, impressive, and beautiful to look at. They came in 2 sets, and I couldn't be happier.

The metal bookends are incredibly durable. I appreciate the open-work tree design's simplicity, elegance, and crisp white hue. Four rubber pieces are attached to the bottom's borders to avoid slippage. I would adore these in more vibrant shades like turquoise and pink because they are ideal for my tables and bookcases! Overall, these are attractive bookends with narrow profiles that are strong enough to support pressure and weight. Definitely a wise purchase!

SRIWATANA Bookends Black, Book Ends Heavy Duty for Shelves Non-Skid & Anti-Scratching, Artistic Design Review:

I used to keep my books in a basket, but now I have this thing that can hold them neatly on my table. I can readily access my book thanks to it. My favourite colour is black, which is used decently in the design. This will be a wonderful option if you have a lot of books to keep on the table. Good quality, heavy enough to carry all types of books.

Officemate Bookends, Heavy Weighted 10" Steel, Black (93182) Review:

These are perfect bookends. I looked everywhere for minimalist bookends that didn't seem industrial. I wanted some that would blend in but would yet have some style if they were to be noticed. I had no idea I'd have to sort through so many awful designs!I wasn't just seeking for something in a certain design; I was also looking for something really strong and heavy to prevent books from flying off some floating shelves. I became tired of watching one book in particular begin to degrade due to high diving while also causing collateral harm to the nearby walls. My volumes can be quite hefty, so the ends themselves had to be sturdy. These bookends are ideal in every way. The ends held firm when I tested them with a massive stack of weighty books. Even better, the bottom of them has a beautiful foam backing that prevents scratches to the wood of my shelves. They also don't slip around. The best thing about them is how thin they are despite being incredibly strong. There isn't a gap underneath them when you stick books on them, making it clear that something is supporting the volumes. They are 6.5 "in width, each. I have two books on top of one of these bookends on one of my top shelf. The combined size of the two books is under 6.5 "You can't see the empty bookend's protruding portion, though, because I've pushed the bookend back a little on the shelf. Except when viewed from the side, the bookend is completely invisible (see pictures of side and front angles). After seeing these in person, I have to say that I wouldn't mind employing them in other public spaces. It came in good wrapping. Unexpectedly, tissue paper was inserted between the bookends to prevent them from rubbing against one another and wearing the shine off. They arrived in fantastic shape and were wire-tied together. The cost was the only drawback I discovered. Each bookend ended up costing approximately $9. I questioned whether I was crazy to spend that much money on things that nobody will ever see. But I've accepted the price because I won't have books making leaps of faith any more.

Bookends, Heavy Duty Metal Black Bookend Support, 6.5 x 5.7 x 4.9 Inch, Set of 10 Pairs Review:

EEE!!! I don't sure WHAT I was thinking, but I was only anticipating TEN bookends, not TWENTY (ten PAIRS). They aren't actually designed for heavy books and are lightweight, but they are perfect for children's books and for dividing shelves! Because there are plenty for that, I'm eager to add some paint to match the levels and alphabetize.

Bookend Supports, Heavy Duty Metal Black Bookend Support, 6 x 5 x 6 Inch, Set of 7 Pairs Review:

I awarded these bookends five stars since they delivered exactly what they said they would. They are robust. However, keep in mind that if you have expensive shelving, these can destroy it because they have sharp edges and no coating to protect them. I went with the more affordable option because I am aware that protected bookends cost significantly more.

AMOYSTONE Blue Agate Bookends Small 2-3 lbs Polished Dyed Crystal Stone for Books 1 Pair with Rubber Bumpers Review:

What distinguishes this product from others are the lovely shades of flawlessly polished blues and the glittering flecks of white and silver. However, I believe that they work better as decorative pieces than bookends. Since my bedroom is small, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they were smaller than I had anticipated. The two ends have self-adhesive rubber stoppers on them. The rubber stoppers are attached, but even then, they only appear to "function" well while supporting a light load. This means that the number of books that may be placed securely is extremely constrained, or that the books must be portable. Of course, I've only actually used them as bookends on unpolished wood. Perhaps different surface types cause the rubber stoppers to create additional tension.Overall, I find them to be attractive and unusual, and I'm satisfied with my purchase. They were ordered especially for the bedroom I am remodeling in an effort to create a "tranquil" or "spa-like" atmosphere. In my research, I discovered that a significant amount of blue encourages anxiolytic effects in people when combined with white or brighter hues. It makes sense that healthcare facilities and other wellness-related businesses frequently utilize blue in their logo or decor. My bedroom is currently being redecorated, but so far they go well with the assortment of other blues, greens, yellows, and neutrals I have.

JIC Gem Polished Dyed Black Agate Bookend(s) 1 Pair 2 to 3 Lbs from Brazilian with Rubber Bumpers for Office and Home Decoration Review:

as promised. These are the natural 6–8 lb. These bookends were purchased to match with some blue agate bookends I bought at West Elm. They are larger, cost a few dollars less, and have rubber feet to protect the shelves. After reading other reviews, I learned to get the biggest size and to stay away from the colored versions because there have been complaints about the colorful dye leaving stains on clothing. Though I've since discovered that the black and blue will show out more against my beige walls, I've just bought 2 more sets in those colors.

How do I keep my bookends from sliding?

If your bookends are sliding, there are a few things you can do to keep them in place. First, try using rubber pads or felt pads on the bottom of the bookends. This will create a friction grip that will help keep them in place. You can also try weighting the bookends down with something like sandbags or rocks. Finally, if your bookends are still sliding, you can try attaching them to the shelf with adhesive putty or double-sided tape.

How do you hold up books?

To hold up a book, you need to use both hands. Place your left hand on the bottom of the book and your right hand on the top of the book. Use your fingers to hold the pages in place.

How do you make bookends out of old books?

To make bookends out of old books, simply stack the books on top of each other and tie them together with a piece of string or ribbon. You can also use a hot glue gun to attach the books together. If you want to get creative, you can decorate the bookends with paint, stickers, or anything else you can think of!

How do you make concrete bookends?

Should books be pushed to the back of a bookcase?

There is no one answer to this question. It depends on the individual book and the bookcase. Some bookcases are designed with books in mind and have shelves that are the perfect size for them. Other bookcases are designed for other purposes and may not have shelves that are deep enough or wide enough to accommodate books. And some people simply prefer the look of a bookcase with books pushed to the back.

What are the bumps on the spine of a book called?

Book spine bumps are called "dings." They are usually caused by the book being dropped or by something heavy being placed on top of the book.
