I bought this to go with the foam cushions I already have on my loveseat. They have lost a few of their original seven "thick.. I added this two rather than replacing "It worked well to make them look brand new using thick foam. I took out the old foam, layered it over the new foam to use as a cutting guide, and then reinserted both the old and new foams into the cushion fabric. Poof! like brand new.I only completed this 3 weeks ago, so I don't yet know how it will hold up, which is why I only gave it 3 stars; I figured, to be completely honest, I'll take the middle ground.

If you're anything like me, you've been attempting to figure out which size and style of cushion would be perfect for your project while reading all this information about compression, density, and other topics. So maybe my experience will influence your choice.Due to my condition, I spend a lot of time in my power recliner. I am a large man, weighing 275 pounds. Even while I adore my 1.5 times wider than average chair, it might have used much better padding. It was making my skin itch and hurt. I first looked at the cost of new, nicer chairs before quickly moving on to cushions. I finally decided, after much confusion, that I should just try one and move forward from there.I was concerned that several of these cushions might not be strong enough because I am quite heavy. I almost chose one of the four "despite being concerned that it might not fit the chair correctly in its current measurements. One of three inches felt appropriate. There was no better option available to me. This cushion is robust and supports weight with ease. comfortably, too. It has a density of 1.8 and a compression of 36 lb. Yes, I purchased the same brand at a higher density from a different Amazon vendor, which is different from the 1.4 density here. This 1.4 might be the best option if you want something softer, but I'm not sure. Even though they refer to this cushion as medium density—and I enjoy firm—I can't think of anyone who would want a cushion that is firmer than this one.You probably won't be unhappy with the 1.8 cushion. The 4' makes sense and I would take it into consideration if I were planning to sleep on it while laying on a hard, flat surface. I need a recliner, and this 3 "was a wise decision. Additionally, I purchased a microsuede fabric to cover it, and it turned out beautifully and feels wonderful against the skin. I couldn't find a couch locally that was the proper size, so I purchased one from Sears. I'll proceed anyhow even though that should pretty much sum up why I wanted to add foam to the seating. After only an hour of watching television, this ridiculous couch was almost paralyzing after a few months. Since my family is not a lover of beautiful couches and cannot be trusted with good things, I laid the foam directly on top of the cushions before covering the couch with a sheet. This allows me to wash the upholstery about once a week. Anyway, the couch is now so comfortable thanks to this foam that when I was recovering from surgery last month, I actually preferred it over the bed. Much improved! I suppose I could remove the cushions and swap out the foam, but it doesn't sound at all like me.

To create petals for a petal bed for a theatrical production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, this foam was employed. The foam used to create the petals was ideal. It was simple to cut and shape. This foam has virtually NO scent. However, in order for the foam to reach its maximum thickness and density, I had to let it "lay out" for a few days. One of the rare instances where I wish there were six stars is with this. Due to my lower back and hip arthritis, I have been using "mushy" cushions to provide support as well as a slight elevation to help my hips relax. I'm a little overweight, like many older folks, but I'm also a little *big*. I've never found a pillow that genuinely supports me until I found this one. That may sound like a trivial issue, but given where I am in life and how much movement I have lost, it is by no means minor.Because of my previous experiences with foam cushions that collapse, I almost didn't order it. However, this foam is *actually and really* solid and supportive. Regular foam is probably acceptable if you're small, but this firmness is perfect for me!

To fill out my Big Joe Large Milano Faux Leather bean bag chair, I bought the 5lbs Workingfish Shredded Memory Foam. I LEAVED ALL of the styrofoam pellets that were already inside the bean bag. I merely blended the memory foam as best I could with the existing pellets in the bag. Before I even began filling the bean bag with memory foam, I VERY GENTLY sprayed the bean bag's opening (i.e., after gently unzipping the bag, the top inner area of the bag) with anti-static/cling spray (available in the laundry aisle), which helped prevent those little granules from flying around. Watch out for flying pellets when using too much effort when spraying the anti-static solution!The Big Joe Large Milano Faux Leather bean bag improved from being uncomfortable and on the verge of losing its shape to being firmer and more comfortable than before. The bean bag chair did seem a little bit heavier because memory foam swells and provides more substantial support than the styrofoam pellets. However, the task was accomplished, and I prefer the chair now that it has memory foam rather than just pellets.As an added bonus, it includes a handy resealable bag with an air pump in case you have any foam leftover. If I ever need additional memory foam, I'll buy it from Workingfish again and will undoubtedly reuse the storage bag.
