Is it rude to hold your pinky up while drinking tea?

There's no definitive answer, but generally speaking, yes, it is considered rude to hold your pinky up while drinking tea. The pinky is typically held up when drinking from a teacup as a way of signaling that one is of a higher social class than the person being served, which is obviously quite insulting. There are, of course, exceptions to every rule, and some people do hold their pinky up while drinking tea without meaning any offense by it.

Sweese 406.101 Porcelain Stackable Cappuccino Cups with Saucers and Metal Stand - 8 Ounce for Specialty Coffee Drinks, Cappuccino, Latte, Americano and Tea - Set of 4, White Review:

shipped safely and with good packaging. The sauces and cups are well-made. neither too light nor too heavy. When held, it feels pleasant in the hand. The ability to stack things is great. is attractive on the counter and doesn't take up a lot of room. Although I'd choose to buy the next larger size (10oz) if I could do it over, I'm also extremely delighted with the 8oz.

Electric Can Opener, Restaurant can Opener, Smooth Edge Automatic Electric Can Opener! Chef's Best Choice Review:

Fantastic tea cup and saucer. If the storage box had been properly put together, I would have rated it five stars. When the cup and saucer are removed, the loose material covering the foam in the box pulls out. Some of the frayed edges were visible because it wasn't tucked in the sides very neatly. I would have been dissatisfied with the storage box if I had sent this as a gift. Occasionally, our senior and women's groups will have teas that call for "fine" cups and saucers. Everyone complimented the lovely cup and saucer and inquired about my purchase. Until the following afternoon tea, the storage box keeps the cup and saucer secure. The cup and saucer's overall quality has me very happy.

Sweese 401.003 Porcelain Espresso Cups with Saucers - 2 Ounce - Set of 6, Cool Assorted Colors Review:

I knew I would purchase anything from this maker after receiving my cups and saucers and observing the high quality and attention used in the packaging of the cups. They employed foam padding instead of just placing paper between each saucer. After that, they separated everything else using cardboard. The bargain was then cemented when I held the mugs. They were perfect in all respects. The dimensions, weight, and color. The white is extremely white, similar to what you may find at the finest restaurants. The saucers are also excellent. You can confidently handle these because they have a lovely lip on them. Your thumb feels secure on the edges and you don't feel like it's going to slip out of your hand when you hold them since the lip is around the height of your thumb. Without a doubt, I would repurchase them and offer them as presents to anyone. My purchase has met all of my expectations.Admire them

Stainless Steel Wire Rack Display Stand Service for Tea Cups,Bracket by Pukka Home +(Display Stand) Review:

For my daughter's sixth birthday celebration, I purchased this set. A tea gathering took place. The pink color of the set is why she chose it. It appeared to be useful, so I chose it. My purchase had both of us ecstatic. She adores the lovely shade of pink. The quality is good. Since I drink tea straight from the teapot every morning, I have really used it more than she has. Before using it, I cleaned it in the dishwasher with no issues. Even the insert for holding loose tea leaves is included with the teapot. I received several compliments on the set and it is quite elegant. If the tea stand had been included, it would have been the only feature that could have earned it six stars on this site.

Espresso Cups with Saucers by Bruntmor - 4 ounce - Matte Black Exterior, Solid Color Interior - Set of 4 Review:

Not the nicest cups, but nice ones. When comparing these to other demitasse cup manufacturers, be cautious as they promote as 4 oz cups. They can carry 4.4 ounces to the rim, but in reality they are only good for 2-1/2 to 3 ounces of liquid. Some products claim to be 2-1/2 ounce cups, although they can actually be the same size at the rim. These carry the same amount of espresso as my current cup, which is "as stated" at 2-1/2 oz. I ordered them in the hopes that I could get a little more in.Otherwise, they don't stack and the coloration is a little erratic. The little spoons are not included, either. while purchasing a set of cups, nice to have.

Coffeezone Free Pour Coffee Cup and Saucer, Small Cappuccino and Double Espresso, Ceramic Coffee Cups for Coffee Shop and Barista (Glossy Black, 5 oz) Review:

This cup is a great option if you frequently drink packaged tea. It's the perfect size at 8.5 ounces for most tea bags, and the white interior makes it simple to observe how dark and consequently how strong your tea has grown. This cup is also fairly ergonomic, though that may seem like an odd thing to mention. Just under a fourth of an inch (about half a centimeter) thick, the walls of the cup ensure that the exterior remains cold to the touch. Even when it is fully loaded, the cup is a comfortable weight. Only one finger can fit through the handle, which is a little on the small side for a cup this size. The saucer is a lovely finishing touch. It does away with the need for a coaster and aids in preventing spills when holding a full cup. Its borders appear slightly worn, as if the red enamel is thinner there, and that is the only thing I find wrong with it.Oh, and it looks great, plain and simple!

Talking Tables TS6-CUPSET-VINTAGE Truly Scrumptious Party Vintage Floral Tea Cups and Saucer Sets, Pack of 12, Height 8cm, 3", Mixed colors Review:

absolutely stunning well-built and durable. However, I had a minor inconvenience. There are three different floral teacup patterns, and there should also be three different matching saucer patterns, but my order only included two different saucer patterns. In order to get four saucers in the right design for four of the tea cups, I contacted Amazon. I requested a new pack of 12 after receiving a refund. I cannot wait to get them!
