The shelf is simple to assemble. The hardest aspect was getting the screws to go into the board. I had to drill into the wood to make the screws fit, so you best have a tool handy. There is a little screwdriver included. which I did utilize, but I ultimately used my own.The shelf is gorgeous. It could definitely be taller, though. It fits in the corner well.I simply use it to support a couple Breyer horses and light things. They appear quite nice there. I can put three miniature classic horses or two horses each shelf.The shelf appears sturdy enough to support heavy stuff.I would choose the option to have it 10 feet tall if they offered it.

Such beautiful shelves! Simple and adaptable to any decor Because these are going in my bathroom and will be holding more than just a photo frame, I didn't put the brackets the same way as in the advertisement because I didn't want the middle to buckle. It is a touch flimsy because the wood is lightweight, which I like, but that leaves the little section of the L unsupported. To make it as sturdy as possible, I'll be purchasing a third bracket. Overall, fantastic stuff; highly recommended.

This is a great substitute for cutting a shelf, finishing it, and adding obvious support structures. In a corner of my training room, I wanted a neat appearance, and the laminate surface is great for that. For my previously placed cord concealer channel, the tiny cutout in the back corner was ideal.Warning: If you want to strengthen the mounts on this item to support its full rated weight, you'll need to be reasonably handy and prepared with extra hardware. For every project like this, I would advise having a drill/driver, a level, a tape measure, and additional hardware. Otherwise, the hardware is suitable for light duty or knick knacks. The shelf has a wood frame and is constructed from a dense fiber board similar to Masonite with a textured laminate. Support blocks can be inserted into the empty areas at the back of the shelf and secured to sheet rock using the two butterfly style anchors that are provided. Each block had a second anchor, which I used.To account for user mistake in leveling the supports, there is a tiny gap between the size of the blocks and the rear apertures where the shelf is put, which is not ideal for tight mounting. In order to thoroughly snug up the fit of the shelf to the blocks and hold it in place for the following phase, I discovered that paint stirring sticks (which I normally store for shimming, etc.) fit well with no trimming.For added strength, I used short 7/8" black drywall screws on the top and bottom of the shelf in place of the little shelf to block mounting screws that were included. They are undetectable and completely countersunk. The finished setup can support a very large powered speaker for my television that is situated in the corner. I enjoy making a lot of things from scratch, therefore I value the time and effort saved by paying the small cost for a well-made final result. By the way, you might want to hire a handyman if you require detailed instructions on how to build this shelf.

This is used in the kitchen's nook adjacent to the stove. We don't use it for plates or bowels, though. We utilize it for our various cast iron sizes. Smallest at the top, largest at the bottom. If you were wondering how sturdy it is, I'll reiterate that it can easily hold cast iron (bought this last year in 2015). The wood tiers look wonderful and make our cast iron conveniently accessible when coupled with the black cast iron. I believe we will retain it for a very long time.Cons? This corner shelf has a wonderful appearance and is sturdy enough to support cast iron. What drawbacks might I list? It doesn't receive well either, and it doesn't turn or handle very well. It's amazing!

With veneer on MDF board, it's difficult to complain too much given the pricing. Although the hardware is poor, the boards themselves are not. So throw it away for your own benefit. There are a few issues, but overall it's good for trinkets. To make it simple to strip the screws before they become tight, the holes for the screws are first drilled as deep as the screws. If you use new screws that are another 1/4 to 1/2' longer so they have more bite, you can easily remedy this. Since it is a veneer, applying wood glue in an effort to increase its security is ineffective because the veneer will not adhere to the glue. Make sure to pay close attention to the square pieces as well because you only want to assemble them with the veneered side showing. The mounting hardware is very inexpensive; it is recommended to use superior in-wall fasteners unless you are fortunate enough to hit a stud on both sides in your corner. It's not tiny, but it's not quite as big as the product photo would have you assume; anything greater than around 6" in any dimension is probably not going to fit.This falls under the category of temporary, useful furniture, in my opinion. As long as you don't misuse it or place anything too heavy on it, it is quite affordable, has a great appearance, and should last for many years. However, until you disassembled it, I wouldn't expect it to last a move or any abuse, and even then, the MDF might not retain screws during the second assembly. It's a wonderful piece for the price of $24, but at $50, I'd consider it to be way too expensive.

Considering how clumsy I normally am, I was surprised at how simple it was to assemble and install this. One piece of advice I can give is to pay close attention as you first assemble the planks because you want to make sure the painted/finished edges are facing outwards rather than inwards otherwise the unfinished edges will be obviously noticeable as they will be facing outwards. I had to unscrew my shelves once to fix this, but it still wasn't a big deal! I feel completely safe and secure placing heavy objects on the shelf, and I will do so. This is exactly what I needed to showcase a few mini Halloween decorations, so I ordered it:) You simply cannot beat it, especially for the price! For even more space, I could end up purchasing a second to put on top of the first.

It's unbeatable for $24! Just what I required. My tiny coffee bar was simple to install and turned out nicely. I gambled that only two coffee cups would fit on each of the rather small shelves, but I was mistaken. I've gotten praises from coworkers and inquiries about where I got my shelf from individuals who want one too. It was a little difficult to set up, and I wouldn't trust it with anything too heavy, but it's been nice to move some of my office plants from my desktop and free up that valuable space so I can put them in a tidy spot that also helps to warm the room up a little. I advise anyone who wants to clear some desktop space or who wants to make room for some office décor to do this. This shelf could only be made better by redesigning the installation clip method to make it a little simpler to hang (maybe with a pin slide/lock type system?).
