I bought it in dark green, silver, and purple. It has a nice satiny feel. It might work better for you than it did for me, depending on what you want to use it for. It's not stiff enough to stay in position while tying knots that require more skill, which is why I got it to make knotwork. You might need discreet glue treatments for closures because tied knots have a minor propensity to loosen.

Good stuff, but slow shipment. Ordered on 12/29; delivered on 1/19. It's just what was required to fix a worn-out longest cable on a vintage mini-blind. Due to their wear and tear, the two remaining old cords are rougher and narrower than the replacement cord. This indicates that the ribbed roller grasped it effectively and allowed for some sag. Since it's not too difficult to thread new rope through the mechanism and slats, I'll probably replace all 3 for even traction. Leftover cord shouldn't become a tangled mess before I need it again because the spool is more than just a plain cardboard tube. Added a tiny matchbox as a size reference in the image.

Delivery happened extremely quickly. The item lived up to expectations. On my lanai, I used it to re-string the roll-up shades. It was okay that the colour was more golden brown than brown. To thread the cut ends through anything, they had to be burnt. The included wooden pulls were excellent and dark brown, which went well with the shades. Due to the fact that it is thinner than the original cable and I am unsure of how long it will last, I gave it a rating of 4 on sturdiness and durability.

When I got this cord, I had high expectations for it. The ability to seal/single the ends is quite intriguing to me (and was not noted in any other reviews) (if you hold the end to a lighter or flame it will melt a tiny ball at the end of the cord). If I had to seal the ends, it would take a lot longer (and more material) to make the necklaces I'm constructing.If it weren't for the fact that it was stated in several other reviews, I never would have thought to measure the cord's thickness. Mine appears to be 2 mm to me. Without a doubt, it is thicker than 1/16". (1.58 mm). I believe you would be satisfied with this cord unless your application involves machinery or is really precise.

I could have tied a simple knot instead of using a small wood bead I found in my junk drawer.
