Are contour pillows worth it?

If you’re looking for a pillow that will help you achieve optimal alignment and support for your head, neck, and shoulders, a contour pillow may be worth considering. These pillows are designed to keep your spine in a neutral position while you sleep, which can help reduce pain and stiffness in the morning. Additionally, contour pillows can help prevent snoring and reduce tossing and turning throughout the night. While contour pillows may cost more than traditional pillows, many find them to be worth the investment for a more comfortable and restful night’s sleep.

Are contoured pillows better?

Are curved pillows good for your neck?

There is no definitive answer to this question as everyone's sleep needs are different. However, many people find that curved pillows help to provide support for the neck and prevent pain. If you suffer from neck pain, it may be worth trying a curved pillow to see if it helps you to get a better night's sleep.

Lunvon Luxury Queen Memory Foam Bed Pillow for Sleeping Height Adjustable Cervical Pillow with Pain Relief Design Breathable Cooling Hypoallergenic Cotton Cover Protector CertiPUR-US, White Review:

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this video.Download Flash Player. My old pillow had outlived its usefulness and was in serious need of replacement. The pillow I demonstrate in the video is made of actual memory foam. I've made far too many purchases that were touted as having "memory foam" in the advertisement only to discover that they were actually shredded or normal foam. The true deal is this. Although it is also adjustable, I thought the height was ideal as is. Although soft, it is yet quite supportive. The softness doesn't merely let your head fall through to the mattress. I'm really happy I made the purchase of this pillow.

Velpeau Neck Brace -Foam Cervical Collar - Soft Neck Support Relieves Pain & Pressure in Spine - Wraps Aligns Stabilizes Vertebrae - Can Be Used During Sleep (Comfort, Blue, Medium, 3″) Review:

Update: Velpeau has added more height options since I first wrote this review in 2018. The previous Classic and Plus versions are now referred to as "Enhanced" and "Comfort," respectively. I'm here to purchase the Enhanced model and test it out as a collar for sleeping upright on a plane or in a car. I will test the Enhanced since although I use the Comfort version every night in bed to reduce sleep apnea, it isn't nearly rigid enough to use as an aircraft cushion.Original assessment A separate Velpeau model (also blue) is sold on a different Amazon page. There are several distinct types of Velpeau neck collars; there are two on this page (the Plus and the Classic). The blue VP0201 Classic is what I bought. I believe you would get the Plus if you desired a stronger brace (for example, to stop movement) (brown). The blue VP0201 Classic features a sturdy but cushioned medium level of support. I've tried numerous different kinds of neck collars; some were considerably softer than others, and each has a unique purpose, so it's crucial to know what you're getting and what you require.I like that you may choose from various neck circumference sizes, and that you should measure your neck to see which one would fit. I wish Velpeau would offer alternative heights, but sadly there aren't any. People with the same neck size have an extremely wide range of neck heights, according to the evaluations for this collar and the other collars I looked at. Both the collar's height and its length have been criticized by some. It will just not function for you at all if you don't obtain the correct height collar. This is something I wear while I sleep to lessen sleep apnea episodes and it also helps to help lessen acid reflux. (If I have reflux, I must firmly tighten the collar to provide pressure to the neck.) Without a cervical neck collar and despite wearing a full-face CPAP mask, my mouth still opens, and I believe that my tongue position contributes to apnea episodes. This works much better for me because I don't feel comfortable wearing a chin strap or tape my mouth like some people do. My CPAP machine statistics reveal that I suffer roughly 4-5 times more apnea or hypopnea episodes if I don't wear my collar on a certain night.Since my chin doesn't dip behind it, this collar's shape works a lot better than most cervical collars I've tested. The maker merely needs to offer additional heights so that more individuals may wear this collar because it is anatomically very well constructed.

Mugetu Gel Infused Memory Foam Pillow Height Adjustable Cervical Pillow Supportive Contour Bed Pillow Neck Support for Back and Side Sleepers Review:

#2 Purchase This is my second review for this pillow because I had to buy it again after losing the previous one while traveling. I'm not as happy with how well this fits my head now that they've changed how the swaths are cut. I reduce the rating from 5 stars to 4.Buy Number One Finally, an adjustable pillow. I've been in multiple vehicle accidents, but I have no curve in my neck. I also own a Tempurpedic, so most pillows would end up being excessively bulky and cause me shoulder pain because they would be pulled up by the mattress material. This cushion provides my neck just the correct amount of soft curvature, preventing tense and strained muscles from waking me up. The muscles in the lower back took a week or so to adjust, but I now enjoy it. I'm relieved to know that if I need to, I can work on one of the other two beds. Awesome!

UTTU Sandwich Pillow, Adjustable Memory Foam Pillow, Bamboo Pillow for Sleeping, Cervical Pillow for Neck Pain, Neck Support for Back, Stomach, Side Sleepers, Orthopedic Contour Pillow, CertiPUR-US Review:

The item itself is of excellent quality and comfort, and I really like that it can be adjusted! Even the pillow case's material is good. However, I wish the zipper positioning had been given more consideration. I had to make sure to always turn the pillow's other side up because it upset me and is on one of the faces. I tried the full size for a few nights, but because of my narrow neck, I had to remove the insert. Unfortunately, after around 60 days, I started to get neck and back pain and realized the cushion was not for me. Remember that every BODY is unique, and finding a decent pillow requires testing, trial, and error. *** Additionally, as it is memory foam, I discovered that it was important to let each piece air out for a few days before using.Customer service goes above and beyond! I received a prompt response, and the money-back guarantee was met. I'm so sorry it didn't work for you, but I still think you should try it if you want extra cervical support as you sleep.

Cervical Pillow Contour Pillow for Neck and Shoulder Pain, Coisum Orthopedic Memory Foam Pillow Ergonomic Bed Pillow for Side Sleepers Back Sleepers, Neck Support Pillow with Hypoallergenic Pillowcase Review:

When I first saw this strange-looking pillow and read the reviews, I was very dubious. People's complaints that it was too firm motivated me to give it a try. I adore this pillow so much! I have a poor neck have had been in a lot of automobile accidents. I usually use a cervical pillow with an indentation in the middle, but over the years the quality of these pillows has declined and I feel like I need to buy a new one every few months because they lose their form and support, regardless of the seller. I typically sleep on my side or my back. The pillow is just right for side sleeping because it is the ideal height and supports my neck while allowing my shoulder and arm to be in a natural position. The pillow is frequently overly low, which causes the shoulder and arm to feel restricted. This pillow has relieved the discomfort and stiffness in my neck. Oh, I almost forgot. The pillow's ability to cradle your arm is another fantastic feature that makes it stand out from the crowd. I have to admit that this might be my favorite feature of the pillow. The armrest region is great, however I've learnt to deal with the neck ache. This is exactly what I've been wanting for a very long time, therefore I don't think it's too strict at all! The back position offers the same level of comfort and support. I'm considering getting 10 so I'll have some on hand in case they stop making them.

MARNUR 23.5×14.5×5.5 in Cervical Pillow Contour Memory Foam Orthopedic Pillow for Neck Pain Sleeping for Side Sleeper Back Sleeper Stomach Sleeper+White Pillowcase(1 PCS) Review:

Since I've started using the Manur cervical pillow, my sleep has become better. The cushion has a special design that still serves a purpose and is excellent for side sleepers. Unlike most pillow designs, even those made specifically for side sleepers, the contours on each side of the cushion enable grooves to naturally place the arm on the side you are lying on.The hollow in the pillow's center cradles and elevates the head just enough to correct the neck and spine while you sleep, preventing any compression or pinching.Although I would have preferred a little bit more firmness, the cushion is strong enough to maintain its shape all night. But when I'm awake and want to read in bed, I like to lean my pillow against the headboard. Unfortunately, this doesn't work very well either of the shape of the pillow or simply because of how durable the material is. But for the purpose for which it was designed, it maintains its shape and has never needed me to puff or fluff it up at night to keep it in place.Additionally, it is highly effective for back sleeping. Your ability to get a good night's sleep is not hampered by the pillow's proportions. It can also assist to stop moderate snoring, which you can experience sometimes.

Coisum Back Sleeper Cervical Pillow - Memory Foam Pillow for Neck and Shoulder Pain Relief - Orthopedic Contour Ergonomic Pillow for Neck Support with Breathable Cover Review:

When selecting a new pillow for 2019, I was aware that I wanted a contoured one. Regular contoured pillows—those with a lengthy bump along one edge to support your neck—have long been my addiction. However, Amazon was now also displaying amusing pillow oddities, such as this one. The only pillow that resembled a butterfly and had a hole in the centre was this one, and for some reason I just couldn't help myself. Of course, I was a little apprehensive about experimenting with something as important as sleep. It turns out that when you lie down, that "hole area" literally cradles your head. It was an amazing feeling to have support everywhere and not have your head pressed up against anything. went straight for it. What a great concept. But let's not mention what a family member referred to it as the moment she noticed the hole.:) It's fortunate that it won't be visible inside a typical pillowcase.A star has been removed for the sides. The side (they call it the "B" section; I'll call it the "wings") is for side sleepers, according to the guide you can find among the photographs of this item. Your shoulder should, according to the guide, precisely fit somewhere in there. Well, the wings are sort of flying. Nothing substantial is beneath them, perhaps a place for that shoulder? So if you attempt sleeping on them, they just sag down. I'm f, 5'5", 125 lbs., so there's no way I can actually cram my own shoulder under a wing while lying on my side to support my head and the wing itself; as a result, I just roll back to the hole area and get all cradled in there once more. It's not a terrific alternative to sleep on your side. I'll update the review if I ever figure out how the wings work. Otherwise, ideal for back sleepers for the time being. In addition, despite my little size, I use the top side pretty contentedly. Technically, one may also side-sleep there.

2 Pack Bamboo Cervical Neck Roll Memory Foam Pillow, Bolster Pillow, Round Neck Pillows Support for Sleeping | Bolster Pillow for Bed, Legs, Back and Yoga Review:

Due to neck problems, I purchased these based on the ratings and the form, reasoning that anything would be an improvement over the standard pillows we already owned. That they come in a two pack is a blessing because my spouse also adores them. They are ideal for bringing over to our "lazy sofa" while relaxing there so you can get some neck support. When lying on the neck, they are the ideal size to "hug" it. They aren't your normal thick, wide bolster pillows, and sometimes my husband would stack one of them on top of another, flatter cushion to add a little extra height. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would highly suggest it!

Bamboo Navy Round Cervical Roll Cylinder Bolster Pillow with Removable Washable Cover, Ergonomically Designed for Head, Neck, Back, and Legs || Ideal for Spine and Neck Support Review:

I can't claim that it was effective for me. But I didn't buy it for what it was made for. I bought it to replace a pillow with a similar shape that I had been using for a year to support my arm, which was severely fractured when I was a teenager and has never been comfortable to sleep without a pillow to support it.For its intended use, it might work incredibly well, but I can't comment on that.It appears to be well-made and of average quality overall. Because of how I used it, the zipper bothered me. It was so dense that it couldn't even support my arm and was actually hurting my circulation. After using it for two weeks, I retired it and discovered something else.
