Yes, contacts can sit in solution for days as long as they are properly taken care of. After taking them out, be sure to rinse them off and put them back into their case filled with fresh solution.
It is not recommended to soak your contacts in hydrogen peroxide because it is a harsh chemical. There are milder solutions that are made specifically for cleaning contact lenses.
A dried contact lens can be rehydrated by using a contact lens rewetting solution. The solution will help to rehydrate the lens and make it more comfortable to wear.
Yes, you can soak contact lenses in saline solution. Saline solution is a salt water solution that is used to clean and disinfect contact lenses. It is important to use a sterile saline solution to avoid contamination of the lenses.

I used to use inexpensive generic contact lens solutions from either Costco or Sam's Club for about $8 per 3-pack bottles, but now I use PureVision contact lenses from Baush and Lomb. It used to be no problem, but suddenly I started to experience dry eyes, and by the end of the day, my eyes would be so painful and bloodshot that I would dread putting the lenses in the next day. I initially believed there was a problem with my eyes rather than the cheap alternatives. For a few months, I almost gave up wearing contact lenses altogether—until I tried this Biotrue Multi-Purpose solution from Bausch

I looked for this item for a long time. A preservative-free saline in manageable bottle sizes? Simple, you'd think, yet surprisingly difficult to locate You've found it if that's what you're looking for.It has my approval. I use it to open up my nasal passages and in my eyes, both of which are areas where preservatives should be avoided. There seems to be a lot of worry regarding shelf life, so let me address that. That salt water is not maintained. Obviously, things can grow in salt water; just take a look at the ocean. However, you don't want to promote this growth. But nothing will grow there if you don't add anything that can. It doesn't deteriorate on its own.I have personally used bottles of this exact medication for much longer than 15 days—in my opinion, months—without experiencing any problems. I have more confidence in the unopened bottles than that.Yes, we must take care with what we put in our eyes and how we treat them. However, keep in mind that unlike mine, yours are not sterile. They are frequently exposed to a variety of unsavory substances that float through the air, kick up from the ground, and that humans brush on them, yet they manage to survive.I've been using this wonderful medication for a while, and I have no qualms about suggesting it for the nose and eyes.

I adore this stuff, and it works wonders! I have worn contacts for the past 15 years or so, and I have tried a LOT of different contact solutions (some very inexpensive, some off-brand, some more expensive), but as of the past year when I started using this product, it is by far my favorite. I chose to use cheaper, off-brand contact solutions for a while in college, but at the end of the day after reading and studying, my contacts would feel so dry and upset me. I've had no issues with my contacts for the entire day ever since I tried this product that my roommate recommended. I've also used the Opti-Free Replenish and Express, but this is by far my favorite item from the Opti-Free Brand! When compared to some of the other less expensive options, this solution is definitely worth the extra few bucks!

My eye doctor has supplied prescription lens solution additives for years so that I can wear tri-phase contacts lenses despite having clinically dry eyes and allow them to breathe. Even so, I would still need to add artificial tears to my eyes multiple times per day, and I was considering tear duct surgery to treat my excruciating dry eye. My eyes finally reacted when she handed me samples of Biotrue! After wearing my lenses for no more than two hours, the gritty, stinging, burning eyes were gone. After removing my lenses, there was no more swelling. Chelazian cysts won't return. My eyes are almost back to normal now! I am thrilled with how soft my lenses stay thanks to Biotrue. They hardly even bother my eyes. Try this product first before giving up lenses if you've previously struggled with severe dry eye or are about to do so. You can first request samples from your doctor! I've been using it for two years and I'm thrilled!

My optometrist recommended Clear Care hydrogen peroxide lens solution when I initially started using contacts. In my perspective, it was far more difficult to obtain than alternative lens solutions. The fact that it was 3% hydrogen peroxide bothered me because I couldn't simply wash a speck of dirt out of my contacts for a few seconds because the solution can't go directly into your eye without first having settled for at least 6 hours. In order to perform rapid rinses, I actually needed both of these solutions.Life became a lot simpler after I understood I could just streamline the procedure and use this lens solution exclusively. Additionally, I could use the standard carrying case for contact lenses rather than the ridiculous Clear Care hydrogen peroxide cases. They work excellent for my eyes, and I can quickly rinse them with the same solution if necessary. I can't really comment to comfort levels rising or anything because I've never experienced any discomfort with either my former solution or this one.My monthly contacts from CooperVision have consistently performed well. Even if I have to stay up late and they soak for only five hours as opposed to six, it stings a little when I put my contacts back in at first, but after that, everything is OK. I could use glasses after late nights, but I much like the comfort of contacts. That's a personal cost I have to bear. I'm not sure if the discomfort I have towards the end of the night (11p) is due to the lens solution, the lens itself, or the fact that I wear contacts from 7 a to 11 p.m. My eyes definitely feel a bit uncomfortable and possibly dry, and I have to blink a few more times than usual.

My nine-year-old daughter loves to make her own homemade slime, so I bought the two-pack just for her. The bottles are substantial and will last a long time for the purpose she intends to use them for. Can't speak to how it functions for contacts or anything of the sort, but I CAN speak to how good it is at generating slime:)...would suggest to others for that particular usage. We'll be fine with these for a while, but I'd definitely buy them again if necessary.

These 2 oz bottles were purchased for travel. PureMoist 2 oz bottles had been used previously, but these are substantially larger and likely could accommodate 4 oz. Pure Moist ravel bottles are an unnecessary weight and space-waster. Additionally, you can see how much is left because these BioTrue bottles are clear as opposed to the opaque white of PureMoist. Like PureMoist, this solution is quite comfortable and causes neither discomfort nor allergic reaction.
You can use vinegar to clean contact lenses, but it is not recommended. Vinegar is an acidic substance and can cause irritation to the eye. It is also not as effective as other solutions in removing bacteria and debris from the lenses.
To make homemade contact lens solution, you will need a clean contact lens case, distilled water, and a sterile saline solution. Fill the contact lens case half-full with distilled water. Add a few drops of the sterile saline solution to the water. Place the contact lenses in the case, and screw the lid on tightly. Store the contact lens case in a cool, dry place.
To remove protein build up from contact lenses, you will need to clean them with a protein remover solution. You can purchase these solutions at most drug stores or online. Make sure to follow the instructions on the bottle, as some solutions may require you to soak your lenses for a specific amount of time. After soaking your lenses, gently rub them with your fingers to loosen the protein build up. Rinse your lenses with saline solution and re-insert them into your eyes.
If you wear contact lenses, you know that keeping them moist is important for both comfort and vision. Sometimes, however, lenses can become dry, causing discomfort and blurred vision. There are a few things you can do to soften dry contacts and improve your comfort. To start, try using a rewetting drop or artificial tears. These can help add moisture to your lenses and make them more comfortable to wear. You can also try using a humidifier in your home or office to help keep the air around you moist. This can help prevent your lenses from drying out in the first
You can soak contacts in solution for up to eight hours. After that time, the solution will start to break down and will not be as effective.
It is recommended that you soak your contacts in a cleaning solution for at least four hours before use. This will help to remove any debris or build-up on the lenses.
