If you're looking to make some extra cash, or even start your own business, a vinyl cutter can be a great investment. With a vinyl cutter, you can create custom designs and sell them on products like t-shirts, mugs, and more. There are many online platforms that make it easy to sell your designs, so you can reach a wide audience and make a good profit.
If you want to get into the vinyl cutting business, you will need to purchase a vinyl cutter and a printer. A vinyl cutter is a machine that cuts out vinyl decals, which can be used for a variety of purposes. A printer is necessary in order to print out the vinyl decals.
A plotter cutter is a type of printer that is used to print large format documents. Plotter cutters are typically used for printing blueprints, posters, and other large format documents. While plotter cutters do not typically print in color, they are able to print in black and white.
Printer cutters are devices that are used to cut paper or other materials into a desired shape or design. There are a variety of different types of printer cutters available on the market, each of which uses a different method to cut paper or materials. The most common type of printer cutter is the rotary cutter, which uses a rotating blade to cut paper or materials. Other types of printer cutters include the laser cutter, which uses a laser to cut paper or materials, and the die cutter, which uses a die to cut paper or materials.

There seems to be a controversy as to whether the blue tips are 30 or 60 degree blades. The Amazon photo indicates the blue tips are the 30 degree blades, but looking around several vendors agree and disagree about this. Everyone agrees the red are the 45 degree blades. With that said mine must have came indicating the blue is the 60 degree blades, thus I labeled them right away. I did not go looking around to verify this, but I have subsequently looked at the tips and the blue ones are the 60 degree blades. This is my 2nd CB09 holder/blade, which I labeled Yellow 30 degrees. I'm purchasing a 3rd one from this same Seller so I don't have to change blades out of the CB09 holder, so I'll have one for each degree of blade. Regarding a comment someone made about having to adjust the blade for each project doesn't understand that you set it once and then just pick your vinyl/paper type from the Studio software and cut. You don't adjust the blade as you would with the Silhouette ratchet blade. You adjust the blade by putting a popsicle stick under the blade and after you do that, you do not move the settings. You should be able to just barely move the popsicle stick out from underneath the blade, meaning you can feel a slight drag from the blade. This works with my original Cameo and Curio machines, albeit, it is tight enough you need to know how to insert it. Look at the silhouetteschoolblog.com to find out about this blade and how to insert it. I purchased from this Seller for two reasons: 1) It is eligible for Amazon Prime and 2) It is fulfilled through Amazon. I waited weeks for my 1st blade to arrive from China just to find out it didn't come with blades or springs.

I purchased this product after reading about it on Silhouette blogs. Given some of the negative reviews here, I was not quite sure what to expect, but after a few tries I'm convinced the negative reviews come more from operator error than from issues with the blade holder and blades. This set contains the blade holder itself and three sets of five blades and springs for three different cut angles: 30, 45 and 60. I only used the 45 degree blade which corresponds to the standard Silhouette blade.Installing the blade in the holder is delicate and requires good dexterity and eyesight: you unscrew the black tip, insert the blade, add the spring, screw the tip back on. The hard part is making sure the blade goes to the right place and the spring stays on.Once you've installed the blade, turn the button at the other end of the holder to adjust the cut thickness. I used a scrap piece of the card I was planning on cutting to test the blade setting and make sure I was cutting all the way through but not more than needed. Then, install the blade holder in the tool holder on my first generation Silhouette Cameo and voilà .I tested using a very intricate design that had given me trouble before with a brand new Silhouette blade; many small details had required manual weeding. With this blade, all the negative space remained stuck to the mat on the first try, even the tiniest cuts (I'm talking about circles 1/2mm in diameter). So, while it lacks the convenience of the dial-by-number setting of the blades (and the autoblade on the Curio 3) it more than makes up for it by delivering a very high quality cut.Another benefit compared to the OEM blades: you can adjust the settings without removing the tool from the holder, so you can tweak the cut depth quickly if your test cut shows you needs this little extra bit of depth. While using this blade undeniably adds some degree of complexity compared to the OEM blades (especially if you use the Autoblade feature on a Curio 3) I believe the cut quality and cost savings more than make up for it (replacement blades cost a little over a buck) (replacement blades cost a little over a buck)Very highly recommended.

These blades are unbreakable. I'm going to change the first worn blade from this multi-pack, which I bought in November 2017 and am now using in June 2018.I use the sharpest angle on my Silhouette Cameo 2 (which I also bought from Amazon and is fantastic!) for a variety of easy to really fine and detailed cuts. I used Silhouette's brand up until I purchased these blades. Sadly, they simply don't endure for very long. My machine gets a lot of use, and I usually use it for heat transfer vinyl, metallic adhesive vinyl, and plain adhesive vinyl.Important information: These blades first appeared to struggle to make complete and clean cuts while rounding corners for a little amount of time. When placing the blade in its specialized holder, a dab of oil at the base of the blade quickly resolved the problem. two times in a little more than six months, I applied a very small drop.

Seriously, this set has saved me so much money already!I'm not a traditional Silhouette user. I cut adhesive vinyl, htv, cardstock, marine vinyl, canvas, and fabric! I use it mainly to cut fabric for assembly of purses and wallets so I go through a few blades every month. Getting a new fabric or premium blade from silhouette would cost me like $10-$12 each. But I can get a new 10 pack of these blades for the price of one silhouette blade. Plus, by using these, you're cutting down on wasted plastic when you break a blade. If one of these breaks, I just dispose of it like I would a sharp item like sewing needles. There's a bit of a learning curve with these, but it's easy enough to get the hang of. You unscrew the black cap, place the larger base end of a blade into the piece, put a spring on it and recap it. Use the silver twisty part at the other end to adjust the blade depth. At first it'll look like it won't fit in the machine but trust me, it will. It's a very snug fit!Overall, I highly recommend this for anyone looking to save money using their machine!

The plotter functions, which is the good news. **Update - I was pleasantly surprised that the vendor contacted me and indicated they are going to enhance the instructions. The directions are awful. I had to watch YouTube tutorials to learn how to assemble the stand and adjust the blade correctly. Additionally, I was unsure about which driver to choose for the cutting program that SignMaster offered. Despite having a respectable website, contacting them proved to be fruitless. Simply choose the first item on the list. FYI

Why this get such negative ratings is a mystery to me. Although I'm sure a few folks received DOA units, fortunately I wasn't one of them.First and foremost, let's be clear that this is not a top-of-the-line cutter; it costs $300. Please be aware, however, that this cutter will not be able to cut out even the most intricately detailed decals. But it exceeded my expectations, and I'm happy with that.Second: The unit is enormous; it is not intended for hobbyists. The majority of decals can be printed on a 15" machine. Although I also think this equipment is excessive, I had the extra space and wanted to be able to cut larger vinyl for truck signs.Third, Google and YouTube are your buddies while using this cutter. I read up on various forums and watched a ton of videos while waiting for it in the days. I was knowledgeable enough when it arrived that I put it together and created my first sticker in less than 30 minutes. After a couple of hours, I had to force myself to stop since I had decals on EVERYTHING in my house.I've read a lot of negative reviews concerning the included cutting program. In this case, YouTube is your friend, and I didn't think the program was at all problematic. My graphics are created in Paint.net, and I simply utilize SCAL's "Trace Image" option to import them. The quantity of vinyl included in this box astonished me. Although the number is stated, I didn't anticipate it would be as much as I did.I think this is a fantastic value. Despite the fact that I have only recently acquired the machine, it has already exceeded my expectations. If there are any issues later on, I'll update this review.

Different types of plotters include: 1. Flatbed plotters - These are the most common type of plotter, and use a flat surface to print on. 2. Drum plotters - These plotters have a cylindrical surface that the paper is wrapped around. 3. Photographic plotters - These plotters use photographic film instead of paper. 4. 3D plotters - These plotters create three-dimensional images.
A plotter is a type of printer that is often used for large-format printing, such as posters or blueprints. Plotters are generally more expensive than traditional printers, and the cost can vary depending on the features and size of the plotter.
Vinyl cutters can cut through a variety of materials, including paper, cardstock, vinyl, and thin metal. The maximum thickness that a vinyl cutter can cut through depends on the make and model of the machine, as well as the type of blade being used. Some vinyl cutters can cut through materials up to 2mm thick, while others can only manage materials up to 0.8mm thick.
Cutter plotters are computer-controlled cutting machines, often used for cutting vinyl for signs and banners. Many can also cut other materials, such as paper, cardstock, and even thin wood.
Plotter printers are large format printers that are used to print blueprints, plans, and other large documents. They are often used by architects and engineers to print out their designs.
