oGoDeal High Capacity Battery Compatible for iPhone SE Battery Replacement 1800mAh A1723,A1662,A1724 with DIY Repair Tool Kit Review:

I will update this later after more use of the battery but I put it in a couple days ago and so far it's great. I let the battery drain completely before charging it and then charged it to 100% and unplugged it. The instructions aren't were okay at best and showed how to remove but not replace the battery but if you just watch a YouTube video you'll figure it out easily. Mine was already removed once so things looked a little different for me but the aftermarket replacement I got was crap and barely lasted a few months.

Pros: It has a larger capacity and I notice it. The tools and components included are decent quality.

Cons: Instructions aren't great.

iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit - Electronics, Smartphone, Computer & Tablet Repair Kit Review:

I've used the old-style Pro Tech Toolkit for years iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit and it's never let me down. I recently upgraded to the new 2016 Pro Tech during a black friday sale and have had some time to use it. The new 64 bit kit iFixit 64 Bit Driver Kit is the star of this toolkit by far, but I was very impressed with all the components.

See my video review for details on some of the changes and upgrades.

Update, things I've discovered since making my video review:

The steel used for the bits is 6150 (manufacturer's website), so it contains 0.5% C, 0.8% Mn, 0.9% Cr, 0.18% V making it a type of CR-V steel, commonly used for knives and swords. "6150 is a fine grained, highly abrasion resistant carbon-chromium alloy steel. Very good shock resistance and toughness are also key properties of this alloy in the heat treated condition." I'm still amazed at the machining quality of the bits.

Here is a list of applications I'm aware of for some of the special bits you won't find in other kits:
5.5mm Nut Driver - Printer and copier repair
Spanner/Snake-eye bits - Security panels, elevators, bathroom hardware.
Square/Robertson bits - Common in Canada/Australia
JIS /Japanese Industrial Standard - Used in cameras, remote control helicopters, drones and other electronics.
Torx Security. TR6 - Apple Mac Mini
TR8 - Xbox and some HP printers, other assorted electronics
TR10 - Playstation and HP/Compaq computers
T15 - HP/Compaq/Lenovo hardware
Gamebits 4.5 and 3.8 - Nintendo and Sega consoles/games
Y000 - Apple Watch
Y00 - Apple track pads
P2 - iPhone bottom screws
P5 - MacBook cases
P6 - MacBook Batteries

Kaisi 5pcs MacBook Repair Tool Kit Precision P5 Pentalobe Screwdriver, T5 Torx and PH000 Phillips Screwdriver with Ultra-Thin Steel and Nylon Spudgers for MacBook Pro & MacBook Air with Retina Display Review:

The Pentalobe was fantastic in opening up my MacBook Pro (Late-2013, 15" Retina). I really appreciated the magnetized tips so I didn't lose the screws.

However, the T5 screwdriver stripped my Torx screw (that may speak to either the strength of the screwdriver bit or the weak screw head or my choose).

Also glad to have the nylon spudger - it's great for going around the edge of the bottom panel to help lift the back panel off. Also great for getting old thermal paste off of the CPU.

Overall, I am happy with this purchase.

GANGZHIBAO 90pcs Electronics Repair Tool Kit Professional, Precision Screwdriver Set Magnetic for Fix Open Pry Cell Phone, Apple iPhone, Computer, PC, Laptop, Tablet, iPad, Macbook with Portable Bag Review:

I fix electronics for a living and have a complete kit at work that I can fix pretty much anything with so I was tired when anytime I needed to fix something at home I had a poor selection of crummy tools available which made it a pain. Saw this as a deal and treated myself and it's a solid kit. Having used and broken the more expensive ifixit bits I can say these are pretty much the same durability. If you're not careful with any precision bits they will break but these are decently durable for most situations. Kit has a lot of tools included and is pretty much an all-in-one kit for PC or phone repair aside from heat tools. Would definitely recommend.

Kaisiking Heavy Duty Suction Cups 2 Pcs Screen Suction Cup Phone Computer Screen Repair Tools Compatible for iPad, iMac, MacBook, Tablet, Laptop, iPhone, Samsung, Huawei Etc. LCD Screen Opening Tool Review:

I purchased this on a gamble to use on something the manufacturer did not claim it was capable of doing, automotive dent repair. The suction cups worked perfectly to pull out a big dent I had on the side of my CRv, but it wasn't able to pop out, a smaller, more difficult one.

That being said, I have to admit these little things did more than I was expecting. While popping a dent back out is not the same as lifting a tablet screen, I do not see any reason from its performance in the former to do the latter. These little things had no problem sticking to sheet metal and only popped loose with way more 26 lbs force.
I have no issues recommending this to other would be hobbyist, although I would probably caution them to look elsewhere for more specific automotive needs.

80 in 1 Precision Screwdriver Set,Magnetic Screwdriver Bit Kit,Professional Electronics Repair Tool Kit with Flexible Shaft,Portable Bag for PS4/Laptop/iPhone8/Computer/Phone/Xbox/Tablets/Camera/Watch Review:

I do a lot of maintenance on my folding knives so a good set of Torx drivers is essential. After snapping the tip off of a supposedly Wiha-made bit and twisting several more I wanted a set made from S2 steel. I had 2 flag shaped drivers in this same metal and it just seems strong. For a little over $10 bucks this set is a steal. I don't really use the included driver handle because I already have others that I prefer but it seems adequate if you don't already have one. The extension bar and flexible extension could come in handy if you have hard to reach screws. The case itself is pretty neat, you press a little tab and all the bits stand up for easy selection. When you're done you just press them back down and they lie down flat. The latch on the case works fine as well. The included plastic prying tool and SIM card ejector are useful if you need to work on a cell phone or computer. But going back to the bits themselves they are holding up well and that's what's most important.

Zacro 21 in 1 Opening Pry Tool Kit with Spudgers and Anti-Static Wrist Strap,Professional Repair Tool Kits for Mobile Phone Review:

This kit has a lot of tools that make life easier when working with modern devices. But I have found that the little blue guitar pick looking thingies don't work too well and gets ruined, but an actual guitar pick does. The little blue spudger also doesn't work too well and become ruined easily. An expired gift card or drivers license or customer reward card works well too. Needless to say, these are my least favorite pieces in this kit.

My favorite pieces in this kit are the metal spudgers. These work well in any situation where you would normally pull a butter knife out to use as a tool.

There are a couple of tweezer tools, an exacto style knife, and a thin metal ruler. There is a suction cup which does have a lot of strength. Also comes with an assortment of plastic picks, rods which may be useful but without an instruction manual showing what each is designed for, they may be very beneficial and I would get more value from this kit.

Precision Pentalobe Screwdriver Set P2 P5 P6 5-Point 5-Star 0.8 mm, 1.2 mm & 1.5 mm 3Pcs Pentalobe Screwdriver Bits Or Ts1 Ts4 Ts5 For Apple iPhone Macbook Pro, Air Retina Pentalobe Screwdriver Review:

The kit comes with everything you could need to open up a phone and then some. I appreciate the various options there are with the opening tools. I’m used to using the plastic triangular picks so I gravitate towards that but I’m looking forward to using the thin metal opening tool as it seems much more efficient. The screwdrivers are great quality, the tips haven’t stripped and the body rotates easily when holding the black top for ease of use even with one hand. The pentalobe screwdrivers aren’t very magnetic which is a pain when dealing with those tiny little screws... I’m not sure if I can use the yellow magnetizer that came with the kit to fix that but it’s worth a shot. The tweezers are amazing! They come in handy as much as you’d expect. All in all, it’s a great kit to have just in case you need to get into a phone for whatever reason. Feels like a professional kit.

Kaisi Professional Electronics Opening Pry Tool Repair Kit with Metal Spudger Non-Abrasive Carbon Fiber Nylon Spudgers and Anti-Static Tweezers for Cellphone iPhone Laptops Tablets and More, 20 Piece Review:

This is a nice set. I actually bough this to work on computers and pry open the chassis when they are being difficult to pry open. Although this set is made to repair certain devices like tablets, phones, ipads, portable handheld gaming devices, there are a few useful tools that do come in handy when working with really sensitive objects like the vbios battery removal, and some of the data transfer strips that need to be removed from their holsters. Some wiring is required to be removed with special tools without touching the hardware itself and the tweezers do help with that. When trying to pry open the bottom chassis from its top chassis, you don't want to use any sharp objects or any type of screw driver for the fact that you may end up damaging the hardware near it or the wiring or the pins that keep the chassis in place. For this the small and large triangle wedge tools come very handy. The material made is actually really good material for the price you are paying for. Plastic material even though its plastic, it doesn't feel cheap at all. and the metal tools look to be made of good quality as well. I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting tools for repairing any portable device to laptops.

21pcs Precision Screwdriver Set Magnetic,GangZhiBao Repair Tools Kit for Fix Phone/iphone,Computer/PC,Tablet/Pad,Watch,PS4 - Replace Screen Battery Camera Small Electronics Open Pry Tool Kits Sets DIY Review:

In a flurry of tool purchases, I bought maybe 6 different sets of drivers for smaller screws. All of them had things that I didn't like, including this one, but the issues with this one was minor and ignorable, unlike the others, whose problems slapped you in the head every time they were used. Those were ultimately returned with descriptions of why they didn't actually match the descriptions in the 'ad'.
This set has enough bits for all my needs, the philips-type bits fit Canon camera screws better than the others, the swivel cap on the end of the driver is raspier than others, but smooths out over time, all the bits are individually marked on the bit itself, and also marked on the case. This means you can look at the case and get the bit you need, first time, with only trial and error. Plus, after a few hours of disassembly, when you want to clean up a bit before the next stage, you can easily put things back where they started from because the bit markings match the case markings.
This set is not so expensive, but someone was obviously thinking about it as an functional aid to repair-related people, not just a collection of nicely-made parts.
