I invested in 4 x 16 GB chips to fully load my 2017 iMac 5K, 27-inch. Everything is operating without a hitch! I am aware that Crucial claims there is another memory that was created and tested just for the iMac; noted. Although this one satisfies every requirement listed on the Apple memory installation help page, there must be a reason for it. I can also confirm that installation was really straightforward. The memory slides right in through a little door on the computer's back. Just a heads-up for owners of the 21.5-inch 4K iMac. The smaller iMac's memory installation is NOT an easy process, and Apple does not support it. The 21.5 inmemory .'s can, I think, be upgraded with kits, but the process is rather intrusive and dangerous.

I purchased to upgrade an old Dell XPS 8300 to use for a programming project (running Ubuntu linux, used for Jetson TX1 dev) (running Ubuntu linux, used for Jetson TX1 dev).- turned computer off. left power supply attached so case was grounded, to contain static.- removed old ram , vacuumed out the 4 slotss- seated these squarely. very snug fit, check orientation before insertings- booted up with F2 key, went to bios so mem count would be updated. speed listed as 1333. saved

I purchased this set mainly because of price, at the time of purchase I could not find much information in regards to this ram. They come in the standard no frills packaging, install was a breeze like any other ram modules. Set XMP settings in the bios and checked the speed, they are operating at 3600MHz with a Ryzen 3900X processor in an x570 Taichi Motherboard. After checking what type of memory they are, I found that I received Micron E-die memory. This is working fine for my purpose, but your mileage may vary. I have not tried to adjust timings, but they appear to have 18-22-22-42-64 timings. Once again I have not tried to overclock this memory, but it my system is running stable with 32 gigs of this memory installed with XMP 2.0 settings via the bios. Overall I'd recommend this ram on price alone, there are a lot more expensive ram out there, with different memory manufacturers. If you need something that works without much hassle, pick up this ram.
