Since we've gotten an opportunity to utilize it for a few days, it has proven to be quite effective. For a project, we are actually melting together 10 Ziploc sandwich bags (we've done approximately 100 sets so far), and the sealer has worked really well aside from the occasional mishap (the bags delaminate into two groups). You will consistently get a seal if you are cautious to set the time setting to the very minimum required and hold the handle down for a few seconds after it shuts off.The instructions' poor English translation is the only nitpicky problem, but I won't deduct a star for it.Once the project is finished and the method is applied to additional, simpler seals, I'll provide an update.

The ability to heat seal items is really convenient and comes at a great price. This has applications that I never would have considered. The power, which has a variable timer, is turned on by depressing the lever. It works good, although I do wish the proximity of the lever to the activation point were a little less sensitive. In order to prevent pinching and improper sealing of some products, you must be extremely careful to keep the top and bottom flaps of the bag smooth and level. I could fine-tune the position of the bag so that it is flat if I could lower the bar a little bit further before it triggered.However, considering how inexpensive it was, I won't hold this tiny problem against them. I am aware that you often "get what you pay for," and this was certainly the case when I made the initial purchase. If it becomes a problem, I will either change the trigger switch's position or location, or I will just get a more expensive heat sealer.I'm content.

Since this is my first impulse sealer, my review is coming from a beginner's perspective, but let me just say that thus far, I'm so happy that I'm about to cry. This is a significant improvement over the small hand-held sealers I was previously using, which look like miniature staplers. I studied reviews of numerous sealers and discovered both good and bad sealers. I had to hope that the negative assessments were the result of ignorance or inexperience. It's so simple to use, I don't know how someone couldn't get this sealer to work!When the merchandise was delivered, it wasn't in a shipping box, which shocked me a little. The box was carefully packed and in excellent condition when I opened it. For what it is, it weighs only a few pounds and is reasonably small. Additionally, the rope has a decent length of a few feet.I took it out of the package and began reading the instructions right away. It couldn't be any simpler to use; just take it out of the box, plug it in, choose your setting, and go. Though I don't consider myself to be mechanically minded, I found the maintenance instructions to be somewhat confusing. I gave my husband those, and after about 30 seconds of consideration, he stated he knew how to swap out the pieces as I needed.In just a few minutes, I had sealed 12 bars of soap. Just to say, that is a significant improvement over the 30-plus minutes it took me to seal the package with a hand-held sealer. I was using setting 3 to seal low-temperature shrink wrap bags. It worked perfectly on the first setting I tested. Setting 2 didn't seem to work as well as setting 1, so I tried it. Even though it wasn't particularly thick, the seal that was produced was remarkably robust. The seal was created in approximately three seconds; I simply waited for the machine to finish humming before separating my pieces. When I used my heat gun to shrink the plastic, I had no issues with the seals breaking.This sealer not only produces excellent seals, but it is also incredibly simple to clean. If any plastic remains, they can be easily removed with your fingernail. It doesn't hold heat either. After using it, I can touch it with my naked flesh, and it's only slightly warm. You can't burn yourself unless you poke your finger in it when you close the arm down.After 12 bars of soap, there is still no sign that this sealer would have poor endurance, yet it is still too early to say whether changing the wire and teflon sheet is simple or not. This seems like it would last the passage of time and serve as a dependable piece of machinery for my expanding bath bomb and soap company.

I decided to highlight why I think they couldn't because there are enough people complaining that they can't get it to function (which almost made me decide against getting this):You can see that this product has a brief instruction booklet despite how easy it is. Additionally, it states that you should wait three seconds to begin sliding it across the bag so that it has time to heat up. There is also a warning that you should slide more slowly on thicker bags to give it time to function.Once I had the time down, I was able to completely seal a bag of Tostitos chips on my second attempt.Because I just received it last night and haven't had a chance to observe how resealing a bag numerous times goes, how long the resealer lasts, or how much better it is at preventing chips from turning stale, I'm only rating it four instead of five stars.
