Excellent match for my collapsible dish tub. Ideal for removing veggies or pasta from a boiling saucepan. The rubber seems to soften a little under the hot water, but the contents are still safe. Because this colander has a lot of drain holes, avoid draining small foods like grains and legumes including orzo, rice, barley, quinoa, lentils, split peas, and red beans. In actuality, the holes are slanted and tapered so that small foods can pass through easily. Fortunately, I only drained a little of the Basmati rice, and half of it ended up in the sink. The only downside of using this colander is that. But because storage capacity is so important when camping, I adore this.

This is one of those exceptionally well designed and very well manufactured goods worth utilizing as the "go to" item in my kitchen or yours. I usually to refrain from leaving any favorable reviews unless I come across something that I consider to be an amazing product. Since the interior of the bowl is extremely smooth, food should readily glide out on this slick surface. Some types of uncooked grains or little grains of rice may become stuck in the perforations or pass through it if this is used to rinse, wash, or strain them. However, it should capture and strain the majority of cooked grains and rice that will expand in size as a result of "water cooking," and it fits comfortably within my double sink, which is 14 inches by 15 inches on each side. To avoid the possibility of it being dented by another item inside the box during shipping, one suggestion would be to order this as your lone item.

Where have you been my entire life? We made the decision to embrace the downsize with my husband. We decided to use the packing process as our "Swedish Death Cleaning" period because we are relocating to a much smaller house. Having several sizes for various applications is fantastic. They are a little bit lighter than my old one, but that doesn't seem to alter how well they work (they feel really solid) or how they look. The drainage being worse than anticipated is my sole gripe (I used to have a net type in the past). Getting all of the water out of pasta is particularly difficult. My approach seems to be shifting from an up-down motion to more of a swirl. As a result, the drainage is improved to a satisfactory level. (Since I was trained up-down, it initially feels a little strange, but it works!)4 stars. Effective and appealing in the kitchen.

Overall, I thought this was great. It's a fantastic feature that the bottom includes a portion that allows it to drain even when it's flat. Not to be too nitpicky, but it seems that the holes are either the wrong size or shape.Although the drainage initially seems to be good, the holes appear to increase surface tension, which keeps water in the holes and creates a sort of seal that prevents all of the water from draining entirely without shaking it. Once more, this is a minor issue that may be resolved by adjusting the drain holes, but it does not detract from the overall quality of the strainer.

We bought all of our furniture at dollar stores when we initially moved into our apartment in order to become settled before investing in finer furniture. We had a little strainer with a handle, but it was inadequate for cooking noodle dishes for dinner. So I bought this guy, and even though it's much bigger than I expected, it works out just well. I wish it came in other colors since, in my opinion, the pink is prettier and the green is unattractive. But, lmao, my lover preferred the green. It is THE tool for living in an RV! I adore these kitchen appliances. I have been purchasing all the silicone kitchen tools I can find manufactured like these since testing out the colander and 4-in-1 pan/cutting board/vegetable rinse. Open your tuna can, remove the lid, place this strainer inside, apply pressure, and watch as the tuna's juice is squeezed out. When straining, it works so much better than the cut-out lid. Simply by exerting constant pressure on the strainer and downward onto the can, you may make your tuna very dry. Because of its well-known quality and limited lifetime warranty, I went with Cuisinart.Shiny handles, edging, and a stainless steel mesh that is both bright and strong make up the strainer. The mesh is sturdy and holds its shape well. It has wide enough holes for berries but is too harsh and fine for grains, which is okay with me as I use the Cuisinart hand-held strainers for jobs that require a finer mesh. Set of three mesh strainers from Cuisinart, CTG-00-3MSWhen the mesh is removed from the sink, the bars beneath it are bent to create feet that hold it off the counter and protect it. This is good because it prevents it from rolling to one side or the other like it would if it lacked feet.The ends of the handles sit on the sides of the sink and are covered in black rubber-like tubes that appear to be of good quality and will endure use.Since I was aware of the dimensions from the product page, I shouldn't have been shocked when I opened the box and worried if it would actually work given how much important sink space it takes up. It stays in the sink since I use it so frequently, and it sits easily on the counter when I need the complete sink space. I now consider it to be a useful supplement to simple preparation.
