I used this to acclimate my compact humidor made of Spanish oak. I initially only used distilled water, but my development wasn't very good. But with this solution, I was ready to go after just two days. I've been using it ever since to fill my humidifier. The situation is fantastic. The humidor maintains a constant temperature of 70. The cigars are excellent. Everybody is ecstatic. To maintain my cigars at the right humidity, I used an Oasis active humidifier for years. That being said, a ribbon cable that protruded from my humidor served as its permanent weak spot. It's a humidor solution, so it works about how you'd expect; I used it to season the Spanish cedar that makes up the humidor I own and to refuel the Xikar crystal humidifiers that are housed in it. Combining this solution with those humidifiers produces a consistent humidity level that doesn't actually change depending on how "full" the humidifiers are, unlike the sponge-like humidifiers that emit high levels of humidity when freshly charged and low levels when they start to dehydrate. The cigars taste good and the humidor doesn't get mildewed up if you slightly overfill it or over-humidify it, as I've seen happen to a friend who uses water. It also seems clean and sterile. There are no issues; the product is fine and it was delivered in a timely manner and in good shape. I have no complaints and will buy more when the supply runs out.

The Drymistat humidifier tubes appear to function as intended. I use 1 cigar each 25 precisely as instructed, in a desktop humidor that has a capacity of 25–50 cigars. With only one tube in situ, the humidity appears to remain steady around 70%. Although I added a little distilled water, the crystals seemed to be completely blown out in the tubes, making it unclear how to fill the tube all the way to the fill line. Within 24 hours, the humidity in my new humidor reached 70%. The amount of humidity hasn't changed much over the past few days.I like these tubes since they're straightforward and quick to use; provided your water isn't too hard, you can use tap water (i.e. well water). If all else fails, it is best to use distilled water to avoid having the tube's lifespan shortened by too hard water. Since the tubes are guaranteed to last a year, the price of $7 per tube is significantly less expensive than the Boveda packs.
