Unfortunately, the 2006 Silverado I drive did not come with a built-in USB port, so I need to find a means to be able to charge my new iPhone 11 Pro. I adore this item! I've actually never used a wireless charger before, and the "magic" hasn't worn off yet. In any case, regarding the actual product:I've only used the vent clip that was provided, and thus far it fits well and is stable. If you have a heavier phone and the dash space (I don't, really), using the dashboard suction device may be preferable because my phone is a little heavy and drags my vent down over time (moving the phone). Regarding the device's body, it is quite fantastic. The sides of the charger automatically lightly clamp onto the phone when it recognizes the existence of a phone when it is plugged into the power source (you will need to provide the converter that fits into the 120V socket, but it comes with the micro USB cable). This is just incredibly cool, in my opinion! Additionally, the clamps open when you touch them, making it simple for you to get your phone out. You don't have to worry about your phone falling out if you unintentionally touch the clamps because it is resting on a small ledge.Regarding the charging feature, it performs admirably. The fact that it even functions with my phone case truly astonished me. It doesn't charge very quickly, but I don't believe that's what it's designed to accomplish either. It's also possible that the rate of charging is simply affected by the age of my automobile. I bought this for my wife so she could mount her phone nearby and charge it at the same time. It is even better because it wirelessly charges the face. I was able to quickly lock it into a functional position after mounting it to a vent on an air conditioner using the supplied clip. We recently bought a 2015 Chevy Silverado. Of course, the Nav chip wasn't included, so we had to use our phones as a substitute for a GPS system. Initially, I didn't anticipate a problem because we had a vent-mounted cell phone holder in our previous car. We discovered the holder was a very tight fit on the driver's air vent after transferring it to this truck. We would accidentally bump our phones whenever we needed to move into gear because the shift lever was on the steering column. We each have an iPhone 6 and a 6s. Therefore, we relocated the holder to the passenger vent. In contrast to our previous vehicle, which had horizontal vent slats, this one has vertical ones. It goes without saying that periodically, our phones and holders would fly. So, the hunt for a new holder began. The truck's design had restrictions on what we could employ. After extensive investigation, I made the decision to use this holder. I am very happy I did. It has so far worked really well. It easily accommodates both of our phones and can also accommodate our Garmin GPS. The holder will shake a little on bumpy roads, but that's the only minor problem I've noticed. Due to the off-road suspension on this truck, the ride may be uncomfortable. Additionally, I believe the holder was put a touch too near the dash's edge. The holder is somewhat elevated in the middle, where the sticky component lies, because the surface is not entirely level. I have the option of lifting the holder and relocating it if the minor motion bothers me at this time. I don't think we would be encountering this if the terrain had been absolutely level. This phone holder is excellent; it helped us figure out where to put our phone.

The only drawback is the same design that allows cord to wear excessively from point where you plug in charger to phone (wire wear) and given how often I have to recharge phone (used it in when I was in the hospital for 4 hrs and was down to 33%). POSITION ACCURATELY - Fantastic It works perfectly, but just a heads up for iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and iPhone X users: if you don't position the mount properly, your phone will show charging but it will discharge slowly. To avoid this position, move the legs or the base so the apple logo is visible above the mount from the back. This way, you won't have to adjust it again. Everything is OK after that. All is well after you simply insert your iPhone.
