FLEXIMOUNTS 4x8 Overhead Garage Storage Rack Adjustable Ceiling Garage Rack Heavy Duty, 96" Length x 48" Width x (22''-40" Ceiling Dropdown), Black (Two-Color Options) Review:

First, a little about me. I have a basic high school diploma and consider myself to be a "uneducated" jar head grunt. This must be said in order to highlight how simple the installation is. If you're having problems installing something, perhaps you shouldn't be doing it. Ever.I'm not certain how effective the instructions are. I merely started by counting the holes and hardware, counting the holes on the front, and performing some basic math. Really, that is all that is required. Seriously. All pieces are appropriately separated and very carefully packed for delivery. If you can count without much supervision, doing an inventory is simple. There were no flaws that could have compromised the structure's integrity. Because I don't care at all and neither do the boxes I'm storing, I didn't look for little marks.Capacity: I packed it full with boxes containing typical seasonal stuff including clothing, decorations, blankets, 2 Christmas trees, and other miscellaneous items. At it, it didn't even bat an eye. 12 totes (2 being long tree totes) If you have a ladder and good balance, access is easy (which you clearly need in addition to standard tools for installation)Ladder of the proper height, drill, tape measure, 3/16" drill bit, pencil, and wrenches given if you don't have any are the tools and abilities needed. To secure the lock nuts, I used a 13mm socket on my impact driver and a 13mm wrench. Although unnecessary, this substantially simplified it. You're ready to go if you know how to measure, count, turn your fingers, and use a drill.Advice: Don't install anything by yourself if you can't move the box it came in by yourself. It weighs 68 pounds. At a time, assemble 2 racks, then attach them to the braces. Do not attempt to lift and hold the 4'x8' metal cage above your head while standing on a ladder. If you thought this, put down your tools and get assistance. You most likely need it. You may easily complete it on your own if you work on 2 racks at once.Time: Who cares, first. Just put in the effort and it will endure probably as long as your house. Pay someone else to do it for you if you need to do it quickly and don't have the time. If it matters, I moved the box from the porch to finishing this evaluation in just under two hours.I am not compensated for my reviews, but I decided to leave this one because I believe that this product is excellent and has been disparaged by a small number of people who are incompetent in every way. It's ok that we were each built for various things. Prior to submitting negative reviews, please be aware of who you are and what you're made of.Enjoy and stay secure!

MonsterRax 4x8 Garage Storage Rack – Height Adjustable Steel Overhead Storage Rack Frame Kit with Adjustable Height – 600 Pound Weight Capacity (Hammertone, 12"-21" Drop) Review:

High caliber and detailed instructions. Once united, they are incredibly powerful.I stayed in one by myself and one with a pal. Very sturdy, and I adore the plywood base (separately purchased) because it makes it simple to slide items on and off the shelf. My initial shipment was missing a few hardware pieces, but they were incredibly kind and sent me what I needed right away. wonderful client service

MonsterRax 4x8 Overhead Rack - 600 LB Capacity Adjustable Ceiling Mounted Rack (Hammertone, 24"-45" (1-Pack)) Review:

a sturdy rack Hardware, components, and instructions of high quality. I just needed one pair of vertical supports because I'm using this above my garage door. The remainder of this evaluation focuses more on where I choose to mount the device. I should have read this before making this error, I suppose.I knew the rack would be a tight fit since I had measured the distance between my open garage door and the ceiling. There was only 1 to 2 inches between the bottom of the rack and the top of my opened garage door. The top edge of the majority of garage doors rises a little higher than where they finish up horizontally, I discovered. When they turn from vertical to horizontal is when they do so. Before the garage door finished transitioning from vertical to horizontal, I positioned the rack too close to the front wall. I made an attempt to open my garage door after I had "finished" attaching it. The door stopped as it struck the rack. Currently, the rack is mounted around 38" from my garage's front wall. Now, the door opens and closes smoothly.

FLEXIMOUNTS 4x8 Overhead Garage Storage Rack w/Hooks Adjustable Ceiling Storage Racks, 96" Length x 48" Width x 40" Height, 22''-40" Ceiling Dropdown, Black Review:

For the price, this is a pretty decent product. I simply wish the support arms were a little thicker because the amount of wobble while I'm pulling or putting things on the shelf worries me.Anyone who breaks the lag bolts during installation, in my opinion, doesn't know how to drill a pilot hole and drive in a screw, after I've completed this installation. Based on other evaluations, that was a concern, but the screws are of higher quality than anticipated.Although the assembly instructions were not quite clear, the storage capacity is as promised, and the unit's component parts were rather simple to put together. Our problem was that we wanted to run the supports parallel to the joists, which is why I used 2x6 boards. It also didn't help that our joists weren't spaced 24" apart and were also crooked with regard to the parallel wall.Overall satisfied, and the seller's customer service was exceptional. They failed to include the hooks with the unit I received, but once I emailed them, they gave me a separate cargo within four days.

HyLoft 00540 45-Inch by 45-Inch Overhead Storage System, Ceiling Mount Garage Organization Rack, White Review:

This was purchased from Home Depot. It cost less. $51.95 ($47.99 $3.96 tax) was the total. The only drawback was that it took a week instead of two days to deliver. boohoo:) I am like this stuff so far. When you place things on it, it does swing a little. Finding your studs is the most difficult aspect, as other people have remarked.Advice: Pay attention to the location of the outlet if your garage opener is on the ceiling. The joists and studs are parallel to the outlet's long side (for the most part). One bracket is screwed into one joist, which is another important reminder. No two joists are screwed into by the bracket. As a result, the racks are perpendicular to the joist and the bracket is parallel to it. Kind of perplexing... Just pay attention to the assembly instructions on the box to avoid making the same mistakes as the prior reviewer (the one where all her china boxes fell). Taking off the component that is screwed into the joist and one extension piece and installing that into the ceiling first was another advice that I found useful. The crossbar and bottom extension piece are then attached. I ultimately secured the racks to one another and to the bracket by using cable ties. The measuring stick was printed on the back of the box, which would have been somewhat more convenient but wasn't a huge inconvenience. Installing it required me about an hour and a half and a couple unnecessary holes in my ceiling.
