I prewired 14 speakers in my newly built house. After moving in December, I spent a lot of time researching in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. I was prepared to spend between $1.5 and $2,000 on models from more well-known brands (Polk, Boston acoustics, Klipsch, etc..). Then I saw these on Amazon and decided to take a chance by purchasing a set of 5 to test out how they would sound in my living room. I chose 8' 3-way speakers and 16 gauge speaker cable because my ceilings are 10 feet high. Without a doubt, this is one of my greatest and luckiest purchases in a while.The cover grill installation once the speaker has been fastened to the wall is the one thing I don't like. I took about an hour to install the first speaker, but when I became more adept with the drywall saw and understood the precise dimensions of the hole, the remainder went much more quickly. It was difficult to reinstall the grill cover because, after you fastened the speaker to the ceiling, the plastic frame might have slightly distorted. If your hole is too small, the frame will somewhat warp, making it difficult to insert the grill. So, using a pair of needle nose pliers, I formed a crease in the grill cover's lip (the folded-up portion that fits into the housing). I just took hold of the lip's outside quarter inch, twisted it 90 degrees, and repeated on all four corners. This narrows the diameter a little bit to make it simpler for the grill to fit in. Don't twist too much, please.After the installation was finished, I connected my speakers to my Onkyo receiver and started listening to some music in stereo mode so that I could stand directly beneath each speaker. I was pleasantly surprised. good mids, highs, and bass. To give the movie effects that extra boom, I added a 10" sub.I'm eager to get the remaining 9 speakers I require for a small portion of the cost of the more expensive brands. With these speakers, I'll save roughly $1.5k!

Ideal for my affordable but fantastic sounding home theater! My wife asked us to renovate our home theater (wow, huh?) so that the wiring would be out of the way of our unborn child. I started digging into the best possibilities for this improvement because putting all of our speakers to the ceiling makes it one less thing that could be knocked over, disconnected, or damaged. After some research, Yamaha appeared to be the best combination of quality and price, so I choose this path. In no way did I feel let down.Which of the many benefits of using only Yamaha speakers? No of the size of the speaker, they use the same template. Everything was the same as these 6.5" that were utilized as the front and rear side speakers, and I used an 8" 2-way Yamaha for the center channel. Everything functions if you cut the same hole and use the same template. It makes me feel better about having to replace any failed speakers in the future.The speaker was easy to install; simply choose the location (avoid placing it over a ceiling truss to avoid patching holes), trace the template, cut the hole, run the wire, plug it in, and then clamp the speaker into the opening. Since I used banana plugs throughout the arrangement, wiring was incredibly simple. These speakers' electronics are protected against water damage by being coated in solid plastic. Though it shouldn't (better not) see any water, it is ideal for being in the ceiling.Once everything was connected, the sound came out exactly as I had anticipated. A 3-way speaker is almost unnecessary when using a subwoofer, although it's still beneficial to obtain some of the higher frequency bass from the speakers.This is the ideal addition that won't break the bank for a basic home theater. I will suggest Yamaha speakers to anyone who asks since they are outstanding.

Here are some pointers and examples of these speakers' performances:(1) Power handling for home theater speakers really isn't that critical. There are so many other aspects associated to "loudness" other than how many watts a speaker can handle. The fact of the issue is, most individuals will never come near to the maximum rater power of a home theater speaker and most will be more than sufficient for home theatre applications. These speakers are no exception. They are quite loud, and even though I haven't even approached operating them at close to their maximum rated power, they manage it without any issues.(2) Almost all in-wall speakers will deliver superior audio quality than a typical sound bar. Of course, there may be exceptions in the very high price bracket. But, when you're talking about anything in approximately the same price range, in-wall speakers are always going to win out. Why? Simply simply, since they're bigger. No, bigger isn't always better, but when it comes to low end frequency response (a.k.a. bass), larger speakers are always going to outperform smaller speakers. These are no exception, great huge woofers for good bass end response.(3) The larger 5.25" woofers in the center channel helps, you'll be impressed with the sound! The larger woofers in this center channel (vs. a smaller drivers or a sound bar) will simply generate more low end. We're not talking subwoofer frequencies, but more kick and punch than you'll find with a smaller woofer. These have fantastic low end response and sound really great.(4) In-wall is worth the time effort. I really debated doing in-wall speakers in my most recent renovation, I kept thinking about a sound bar because of the simplicity. But, I'm REALLY glad I changed my mind. The sound from these speakers is so far superior to my sound bar it's ridiculous. What's more, I was able to keep them out of reach of the kids and free up a little more room (and paint the grills to match) (and paint the grills to match).(5) Buy an affordable speaker and save your money for something that matters. Yes, there are tons of speaker options and price ranges. In the end, buying a more affordable speaker (like these) will leave you with a lot of extra cash and still have a great sounding system.I'm really happy with these speakers, they sound great, install nicely, and are super affordable. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I adore these speakers so much.These took the place of 2 really excellent Polk tower speakers so I could use a projector screen in my man cave. I'm using them as my front L and front R speakers behind an Elite Screens audio-transparent screen that I bought from Amazon (model ER100WH1-A1080P3).If you don't intend to obtain a subscription, I wouldn't recommend purchasing these.These are connected to a Polk Center Speaker, Polk Sub, two Polk RC85i rear speakers, and two Polk RC60i ceiling speakers.Although these will be hidden from view, I was astonished by how closely the speaker/cover actually adhered to the wall. They appear fantastic. It is far more discreet than the other Polk wall/ceiling speakers I own in terms of profile. In addition, compared to all of my previous in-wall speakers, the magnet covers are incredibly simple to remove.Installation is simple (running the speaker wire can be the tricky part).You'll require:Measurement tapestud detector (highly recommended)LevelsPencilleveling laser (optional)Sheetrock saws are available at hardware stores for about $4.*Be careful not to cut into any plumbing, electrical, or cold-air return lines. I was fortunate to have placed these in the only room in my house with a drop ceiling, which gave me a better understanding of the situation. However, until you actually cut the hole, there are no guarantees that you won't discover any surprises.I would advise hiring a specialist if you don't feel confident doing it.*Be sure to keep a distance of 1 to 1.5" from any studs. To ensure that you have a firm grip, you want the tabs to fully install.

We took full advantage of the pre-wiring for speakers that were available to us because our house was newly built, however the speakers they are trying to sell you are incredibly expensive. I then began to shop online. When I came across them, I was seeking for Polk Audio or Klipsch since I've always bought those brands in the past. I made the decision to purchase them after reading the reviews written by those who genuinely took the time to evaluate the goods. I reasoned that given the price, I would just mail them back or discard them if they were terrible.The first thing I noticed after receiving the speakers and opening the box was the build quality and how well they were manufactured. They are built just as well as or better than Pyle, though I wouldn't say they are built as well as Polk Audio, Klipsch, or Bose. Then I began installing them, and they went in without any trouble. Given that I had already cut all my holes and installed the wiring, it took me 30 minutes to install all five speakers. Even all of my connections to the speakers were soldered. My receiver, a Harman Kardon AVR 1610, has a channel output of roughly 85 watts. I started out by listening to some music. I enjoy listening to a variety of music, but mainly jazz or top 40. At around half volume, which is as loud as I typically listen to jazz, I noted the highs were clear and sharp. The bass was just so-so, which didn't bother me because I have a sub woofer, but the mid was clear and excellent. I would rate the overall sound and construction quality at 7.5 and 8.5 points, respectively.To anyone searching for a good speaker system at a reasonable cost, I would suggest them. In light of that, I advise installing a subwoofer.

The price is really reasonable for these speakers. These speakers are mounted in my garage. Although there isn't a lot of bass, they sound fantastic when I connect a little subwoofer. They work wonderfully for movies and the music sounds fantastic. If you're searching for speakers at a reasonable price, I would recommend this pair because they are simple to install. The speakers are not wireless, but the base is. However, that was acceptable for my installation because I concealed the speaker wiring beneath my couch.The manual is a complete disaster. Thanks to numerous Google searches, these are the instructions for getting these speakers to work.1) Don't fully enclose the speaker wire cables. The metal component must be in contact with the clamp. I had to learn this the hard way. That they fail to disclose this in the instructions is quite annoying.2) To enter LINK mode, turn off the Samsung soundbar and press the up arrow button for 5 seconds. Although I have a Samsung HW-N550 sound bar, I've heard that users of other Samsung sound bars must press and hold the mute button. It didn't work for me to press up on the volume button as the handbook instructed. Once the LINK mode appears on the LED display, the device ought to connect to the wireless rear speakers.3) You'll probably discover the volume is too low after pairing. Click the SOUND SETTINGS button, which on my remote looks like a cog, to increase the volume. Wait after pressing it till REAR SPEAKERS appears! Wait until a number (typically zero) appears after it says REAR SPEAKER VOLUME. Then, use the UP arrow to boost the volume to your chosen level (0-6). Since you don't want the rear speakers to overpower the main system, I discovered that 4 was the ideal number.The HW-N550 sound bar receives five stars, but these rear speakers receive four. Although I believe they could be better, the upgrading for a genuine surround experience is definitely worth the money.

For my wife, I put these in the master bathroom and bedroom. Big error! She now spins music throughout the house. These sound a lot louder than I anticipated. Installation is really straightforward.
