For the price, this works pretty well, in my opinion. The cat was losing weight and had recently stopped eating. To mask the flavor, we combined this with some tuna fish. First, we knew he would eat tuna fish regardless of the circumstances, and second, other individuals claimed you would need to mask the flavor. He became rather ill as a result for a few days before recovering. But for more than a week, he avoided my sister totally and looked at her as if to say, "You attempted to poison me." Neither he nor the other cat would eat from her for a few weeks. He did, however, start feeling better and gaining weight once more. I would advise against having the cat's primary caretaker administer this, as I ended up having to feed both of those kitties. The animals are smarter than you believe, and he understood she was to blame for his illness because she gave him the tuna fish. Compared to most other treatments, this was less expensive. These two cats are two of our outside rescues who we can't afford to spend much on because they never come inside, and there's no way you could take these cats to the vet. Very nice, the cat's litter box isn't nearly as stinky. I'd given them this Drontal Dewormer and 24 hours later they are doing fantastic. I'd given them wormings before, but apparently I didn't get the worms that were hurting them. When I first obtained these two kittens, they weren't nearly as playful as kittens should be. I tried to worm them with their standard wormer, which helped but didn't completely get rid of the unpleasant smell or make them any less "gassy." I combined a crushed tablet with each of their meals and separated them until they had both consumed it, with GREAT results!

Believe me when I say that I've tried everything for my two female cats who both had round worms. The Petco things I tried were a waste of money and really difficult to mask the odor. I won't lie, I was really skeptical when I first heard about this product. However, after doing some research, I decided to buy it. This is a standard roundworm treatment that virtually every kitten receives. The incorrect kind of tapeworms if you have them. The tiny, white, or slightly pinkish, tapeworms that travel slowly for a while before dying and drying up to a size akin to a grain of rice are known as tapeworms. They can at any time emerge from an animal's rear. Not for them is this. This is for the long, white ones that either never leave their stool or do so infrequently. It is recommended to worm all kittens for them. The only drawback I can think of is that because it's designed to go with food, you have to feed quite a bit per weight. Though they do consume it, it is the sole means of worming stray animals without trapping them if you are feeding them. Please be aware that it will not eliminate the tapeworms they acquire by eating rats.

I once found a stray kitten and brought it home. The kitten was infested with worms, but I wasn't first aware of it because her stomach wasn't particularly round and she didn't have any diarrhea or vomiting. But later, when I was clearing out the litter box she and my senior cat shared, I came across a white worm.After that, I conducted some short research and discovered that the main ingredient in this de-wormer is one that is frequently used by veterinarians to treat roundworms, so I made the decision to give it a try. I adhered to the guidelines exactly (making sure the kitten was of age, administering the right amount, etc). To ensure that each of my cats received the proper dosage, I combined the pills with cat chow and served it to them separately. I administered the second dose exactly as I had done the first. The issue was resolved after the second dose—there were no more worms! There's enough in the bottle as well so I can keep administering dosages on a regular basis to stop re-infestation. (However, since taking both of my cats to the doctor for checkups and vaccinations, there haven't been any further worming problems.)Just a few pointers: This medication only stuns the worms, allowing them to pass through the excrement and eventually perish from exposure rather than truly killing them. To prevent the cats from becoming infected again by any eggs or larvae while administering this medication, it is crucial to keep the house and litter box absolutely clean (as well as yourself).

Unexpectedly, this functioned better than the one at the shop that cost two times as much. You must realize that it is not intended to destroy the worms. According to them, the animal's own defenses do the work while it aids the immune system.After putting my poor cat through excruciating pain with that piperazine(sp?) substance, I learned that the worms were not round as we had been initially led to believe. A local expert apparently doesn't understand what they're talking about because hook and round worms are VERY different from one another (they told us that round and hook worms were basically the same). not with regard to medications, though.Our cat would exhibit very poor behavior after receiving treatments with harsh chemicals, acting very lethargic and erratic in his energy levels... Which, apparently, indicated that neither the medication nor our problems had been resolved. Several poop are let out, but you're still in excruciating pain. We had to take a different approach.This medication worked reasonably well the first time I tried it. but was bought at the national network of pet stores nearby. It didn't have the same smell as this, but it wasn't quite as unpleasant as many of the chemical medications on the market. It almost smells like isopropyl alcohol and has a faint odor of a hospital or doctor's office. The cat, however, was unconcerned the first time or with this batch of internet orders.Within days, she felt better, her coat looked nicer, she stopped running around like a crazy person, and overall, there were no adverse reactions (unlike when we tried Sentry, which is supposed to have a salmon smell/taste and our cat would refuse to eat even her favorite foods with that product on it).Overall, I believe that the first batch of this I bought (from the neighborhood shop) was just stale.
