It appears extremely stylish! Although I haven't tested it out yet, I have a good feeling that it will hold up because it feels and looks like a high-quality item. I purchased two, and I will undoubtedly keep one for my smaller cat. My boy cat is a tall drink of water - people always notice this - and I feel it's too cramped for him at 17x11x11" (the measurements are correct, but until you see the cat in the actual carrier...), especially since we're going on a very long flight. I even looked into those funny-looking expandable ones, but they all seem to be of low quality; if it isn't this problem, it's another - shoulder straps rip.

A 16-pound cat of mine gets motion sickness. My cat puked and pooped in another brand-new carrier, and no matter how many times I washed it, I couldn't get the stains out, so I got this to replace it. He had three bowel movements in 20 minutes—two pooping and one puking—as a result of the carrier's excessive jostling (how long it took us to get from ticket counter to our gate). But on the way back, this carrier here literally saved my life! Due to his ability to lay flat rather than sit up, my cat was able to withstand the jostling better. Despite having the same proportions as the backpack carrier, it is much roomier. Since this was less expensive than the backpack carrier, I was initially dubious about the quality, but I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it was! My cat seemed to feel more stable in the removable bottom's interior wood board than in the other carrier, I believe. Although the description states that it is for pets up to 15 lbs, my cat weighs 16 lbs, and this carrier handled his weight just fine! Since the strap felt really secure, I had no concern that it would break or snap. While he was in it, my cat didn't moan or throw up once, so there were no spontaneous dashes to the bathroom for cat baths. This fit well beneath the seat on my United flight. I definitely recommend this carrier if you have a cat who can't stand being moved around or who gets nervous in the car.

This carrier is fantastic! My 13 weight cat and 13 lb dog have plenty of room in the medium size that I bought. My dog and cat are unable to open the zippers, and neither can they rip the cloth or the mesh. You better believe that both animals tried to wriggle free. This is really well built all around. It is simple to unfold and open for storage. There was a light chemical smell, but it went away after a day of sitting outside. The machine-washable pad is fantastic. It resembles a carpet more than fleece. The only thing I would change is to replace the rubber cushion on the shoulder strap with one that is padded.

I was looking for a pet carrier when I found this one. I've never seen a pet carrier that extends. This is incredible! Five kittens are being fostered by me, and they are growing. It was challenging to transport them to the veterinarian and wait for a very long time. They were pressed up against one another. I can now impressively expand the surface area by unfolding the sides. The kitties adore it and like peering through the mesh to take in their surroundings. It is a very high-quality carrier. It is strong, and the zippers operate well. The bottom is covered by a soft, detachable pad that has a lovely hue. I don't sure if the mesh covering the extensible section is robust enough, but I would assume so because the kittens have not yet begun to attack it.All pet owners who believe a typical pet carrier is too small should purchase this one, in my opinion. But if you want to use it for a medium-sized dog, I wouldn't advise it because the dog won't be able to fit into the expanded parts. However, all cats and small dogs should be alright.

I travelled by air across the country for a move and used this carrier for my extremely cranky and big black cat (tall, 10 pounds) (tall, 10 pounds). I was expecting the worst but surprise he adored this carrier! Another reviewer said that cats feel safe in smaller, enclosed locations thus I think this worked better than a hard-side carrier. The zipper makes the carrier easy to open a little to reach in and the pocket on the exterior is ideal for carrying treats and vet certifications that are required when you fly. Also I think this carrier gave enough solitude for the cat that he didn't get too much unwanted attention to disturb him. It does need to be pushed down on top to fit beneath the airline seat (we flew Virgin America in an A319) but it doesn't interfere with the animal. My enormous cat was still able to turn entirely around, sit up or lie down, and we packed his favorite toy in the carrier with him.

I agree that it is for little cats as it says in the description that it is. These bag cat carriers are perfect for my small cats, however my big, fat cat is too huge. During a three-day move and road trip from South Florida to Los Angeles, we used this to transport our cat in the vehicle. She fell asleep in it as soon as we set it up in the living room, which we ordered a few weeks in advance. Additionally, she adores the toy that was included and always requests to play with it. She usually dozed the entire drive, so we didn't use the box in the carrier, but it was simple to get into the hotel rooms at each stop. The carrier was large enough to carry even her cat bed and slid into the rear seat of the Toyota Camry. It was the perfect size for our 12-pound girl, who spent the entire drive dozing off in the carrier.
