I've always used ropes to contain my cats when I let them roam outside, but I've learned that over time, the weather will wear down the ropes, causing your fat cat to end up homes down on someone's back porch. A little large for my 5 lb chi-poos, but people can see it from around 10 feet away.This tool has helped my dogs stay safe from other dog OWNERS. I bought it since I live in a seaside city with many young pet owners who can occasionally be a little bit irresponsible with their dogs (and training). Despite the fact that this item is not reflective, the contrast between the yellow and black helped warn other dog owners or bystanders from a distance of 10 feet that they should be more careful when passing my dogs, or gave me enough time to move my dogs to the side. Although it is a bit large for my dogs, they don't seem to mind, and if it were any smaller, it could be harder to read the letters. The text is embroidered quite clearly, and the fabric is very durable. Additionally, the handle features a great neoprene-like material that could aid other owners in preventing leash burn if their dogs are sprinters or lungers. She enjoys being outside, but I only let her out on a long tie out when I am working in the yard because of her advanced age and deteriorating mobility. I am so far pleased and in love with my retractable leash; it is strong and feels fantastic in the palm. I'll revise my review after some time has passed. There will be tons of affection because I have five content standard poodles and a huge schnauzer.
