Best Cat Leashes in 2020

CHERPET Reflective Cat Tie Out Leashes - 26-feet Escape Proof Walking Leads Yard Long Leash Durable Safe Personalized Extender Leashes Traning Play Outside for Puppies/Kittens/Rabbits/Small Animals Review:

I've always just used ropes for when I let my cats roam outside, and have come to find out that over time they'll wear down due to weather and you fat cat will end up houses down on a person back porch. Hence why I bought this. It's exactly what I wanted and expected. Nice and strong material, not just a simple braided rope. Clips easily onto the eye-hook on my house, then onto a harness that I have for my cat. It doesn't tangle nearly as bad as the ropes I've used. Any small knot easily comes apart. The reflective aspect of this is great! I don't normally let my cats out at night just because of not being able to see them, this is no replacement to watching your animals and lights, but is a great addition to the whole chaos that is owning a cat!

6 Foot Slip Lead, Slip Leads, Kennel Leads with O Ring for Dog Pet Animal Control Grooming, Shelter, Rescues, Vet, Veterinarian, Doggy Daycare (Size: 6' x 1", Colors: Various) Review:

I’m a Retiree and occasionally board dogs in my home, when people go on vacation and want their pups with a family.

Occasionally an owner will inadvertantly leave their pooch here without a leash. Of course I have leashes of my own and use one of those to walk our guest. But if they show up without a leash to pick up and don’t have one here with their dog, I will send the dog home with one of these.

It’s a nice long lead with vibrant color and is much sturdier than the ones at the vet. It would easily handle any small to larger medium dog. Good value at this price.

OFPUPPY Cat Tie Out Pet Rope Leash - Nylon Braided Cat Lead for Outside, Black, Review:

This item is true to its description. I have had it for only a couple days. I have used it with my cat, who doesn’t like to be outside alone. This way I know where she is to make sure she comes in with me. I also used this with my smaller dogs. I love that there are snaps on both ends. This allows me to hook it around a deck post and I can take it off. I am going to love this rope when we are camping this summer. My dog can have some freedom, but still be at my campsite and not get into trouble.

NERVOUS Yellow Color Coded 6 Foot Dog Padded Leash (Give Me Space) PREVENTS Accidents By Warning Others of Your Dog in Advance Review:

A little big for my 5lb chi-poos, but people from 10 ft (or so) away pay attention!

I bought this because I live in a beach city with a lot of young pet owners who can sometimes be a little bit careless with their dogs (and training)...this product has helped my dogs stay safe from other dog OWNERS. Even though this product is not reflective, the contrast from the yellow and black helped show other owners/people from 10ft away that they should be more cautious when passing my dogs, or giving me enough time to pull my dogs to the side. It is a little big for my dogs, but it doesn't seem to bother them, and any smaller, the letters may be more difficult to see. The material is very sturdy and the lettering is embroidered very clearly. The handle also has a nice neoprene type material that may help other owners prevent leash burn if their dogs are runners or lungers. If you're looking for this type of product, I definitely recommend that you purchase it!

Coastal Poly Cat Tie Out with Nickel-Plated Swivel Snaps | 15-Feet, Black | 1-Count Review:

This tie out for my cat works very well. It is light weight yet strong enough to confine a 14 year old kitty that I adopted from a local shelter. She likes to be outside but due to her age and declining ability I only let her out on a long tie out when I am working outdoors in the yard. Prior to purchasing this product I was using a length of clothesline for her tie out and that was too heavy. The clothesline acted like an anchor and she had difficulty getting around.

This light weight and sturdy tie out allows her to walk wherever she wants to go in the yard and it is an inexpensive solution. I am going to order another section to give her additional roaming area.

I would like to add that a cat or any pet ought not be tied out along when no one is home. A smaller pet especially is quite defenseless in this
situation.

Missy loves to be outdoors. Thanks from both of us!

Hertzko Heavy Duty Retractable Dog Leash Great for Small, Medium & Large Dogs up to 110lbs - Strong Nylon Ribbon Extends 16ft Review:

So far, i am impressed and loving my retractable leash :) feels great in the hand and feels solid. I will update my review after some extended use... I have 5 happy standard poodles and a giant schnauzer, so there is going to be lots of love :) I look forward to the kids being able to run around with a dog at the city park, but it still be on a leash. With a standard 6 foot leash, the dog runs too fast for the kids and they crash into each other :/ lots of tears. Hoping this retractable leash makes play easier!
Update: I've used it several times now. Love it. Comfortable in my hand and the the dog has a great time :) the button is very easy to use so if I get in a situation where I want the dog to stay close to me I press the button and slide it forward. It is then locked and the leash no longer is adjustable. Happy with my purchase.
Update#2... Still works great, but... I brought one of the standard poodles to home Depot. A, evidently, really scary lady with big frizzy hair came up to greet the dog. Scared the dog and it took off. I didn't have the line locked, so she ran until it ran out of line, and nearly knocked me to my rear! Didn't break the leash, which is great! Glad I had a firm hold. But, I hadn't considered before, the impact of momentum. It's easy to control a 45lb dog, but when it's running as fast as it can, and suddenly runs out of line :/ takes some strength to hold on. Definately more than a kid could control. Goofy dog has done that to me twice now, and for her, I am no longer going to use this leash. The second time I did fall and got a sizeable bruise to show for it. I am a slow learner, clearly. Leash is still in great shape though and functioning perfectly.
Update: it's now May 2019, and the leash still works perfectly and looks new. Two years of use and no problems at all. Thinking about buying a second one so I don't have to share :) great leash!
