Meguiar's X3003 Grit Guard, 1 Pack Review:

This is for you if you wash cars frequently. I wish I had one of these years ago; it fits nicely inside a 5-gallon bucket and keeps your sponge or brush clean by separating it from any grit that enters the bucket. I have a good feeling that doing this will lessen the swirl effect that can be produced by the tiny scratches that the grit in the water can create. I also use a microfiber mop on a stick to clean the higher areas of my car, and when I used to put it in the bucket, it would sink to the bottom and sit in the grit. I'm sure that some of the grit would then transfer to the microfiber before ending up on my truck. The likelihood of it happening will be significantly decreased by this grit guard. Because it is made of sturdy plastic, it will likely survive a long time. You should absolutely get one of these great products. VIKING 923601 Bucket Insert Grit Trap, Black Review:

I needed a barrier to prevent my sponge from scrubbing the heavier dirt particles that collect at the bucket's bottom. That's all it needs to do in my opinion—just lift the sponge off the floor. I don't believe in the claims that these kinds of devices "trap" dirt, but if I tried really hard, I might be able to understand the claim that the four large standoff fins might lessen turbulent flow at the bottom to help keep dirt at the bottom from being kicked back up as much. However, by my definition, I'd hardly consider that a trap. (Btw, if you're really banking on this effect, you should place these fins towards the bucket's bottom, where the soil is, and avoid using traps that wedge higher up.) Having said that, this was just what I needed at a lesser price than the counterparts from more well-known brands. It sits at the base of a Home Depot bucket and is 1/8" thick "to the bucket wall of play. The bucket in my uploaded photo was bought in July 2019. (it has a very rounded bottom inside corner). I also tested it on a 2014 HD bucket that was older and didn't have rounded inside corners, and it fit there as well, possibly with a little more flexibility.I honestly didn't expect it to be so strong, but it is. The webbing is approximately.075 inches thick "(~2mm). The five finger holes were a surprisingly handy feature because I had no idea that the web spacing would be too small for some fingers. I didn't encounter any of the lifting or floating off the bottom that a few other reviews stated because I don't use it to scrape the sponge or mitt.I was on the verge of sticking with more well-known brands to avoid the difficulty and disappointment that might occasionally accompany buying an unknown brand (we've all been there—spend extra after trying to save a few dollars). However, it appears that the parent firm behind this product, Schroeder

Meguiar’s Yellow Bucket – Make Car Washing Easy With Bright Bucket for Water and Suds – 3.5 gal Review:

Excellent, robust, and well-rounded bucket. I bought this bucket for two reasons: first, since it has a 12" 3.5G bucket "Diameter. The 12 "was crucial because I got a grit guard specifically for this that fits for that size. The bright yellow hue of this bucket is the second factor that led me to select it over all the others. This bucket and its grit guard in the bottom will be used to wash a number of vehicles. Because of the bucket's brightness, I reasoned that I would be able to see every bit of dirt and filth that gets caught beneath the grit guard after each usage and ensure that none of it was floating around and contaminating my suds.

Grit Guard The Insert with Washboard Combo Pack (Black/Red) Review:

Any car owner has to have these.Over the years, especially after finishing my wheel wash, I have been astounded at the grit and grime that built up in my wash bucket. These inserts minimize the possibility of washing-related swirl marks by preventing the gunk from being brought back onto your automobile.Given the cost, I would strongly advise getting two of them so you have one for washing the wheels and one for cleaning the car's body. This is far simpler and faster than emptying your wash bucket after you've finished cleaning the wheels but before washing the body of the car.Additionally, I would advise getting the washboard attachment that fits on this insert, at the very least for the bucket used to wash the vehicle's body, since it provides a convenient way to scrape your brush or mitt often while washing.

Chemical Guys IAI519 Bucket Lid, Black Review:

I bought it for my dad for Christmas even though I thought the price was a little high. The bucket's lid is excellent, and it has a nice appearance. Snaps easily on and off, and while it's nice to have something to sit on, keeping the car wash rags and mitts dust-free is even better! neat stuff My new go-to supplier for car wash, wax, quick detailer, and leather conditioner/cleaner is Chemical Guys. GSM.

Chemical Guys Acc_103 Heavy Duty Detailing Bucket Logo (4.5 Gal) Review:

I understand why some people believe the pricing is outrageous, but the business solely sells auto cleaning materials. I bought two, one for clean water and one for dirty, so if they have to make a few extra bucks on what is probably a one-time purchase given the good quality, that's fine with me. You'll understand right away that this will probably be the last bucket you ever buy once you see it up close. It is made of a sturdy, thick material. You don't have to worry about dragging it along the driveway when washing because it doesn't scratch easily either. This is a wonderful match for their dirt strainer, which is why I purchased it.The lower rim surround holding the handles is unfinished and has razor-sharp edges, earning it a negative star. Always use the handle and very bottom for pouring; I sliced myself fairly badly.

Chemical Guys DIRTTRAP04 Lime Green 1 Pack Cyclone Dirt Trap Car Wash Bucket Insert Review:

Very sturdy; not at least fragile. The nicest part is that it exactly fits to the bottom of my HD bucket with 1/4" of clearance on both sides (maybe larger on the west coast).

Chemical Guys Cyclone Dirt Trap Car Wash Bucket Insert Car Wash Filter Removes Dirt and Debris While You Wash (Blue) Review:

For those who wash their cars and are concerned about avoiding scratches when rinsing their sponge, this product is unquestionably a necessity. In fact, this keeps the dirt at the bottom by trapping it inside those little cones. Just a brief tip: wipe the sponge vigorously against this product to remove all the debris and guarantee that it sinks to the bottom. The biggest issue I had with the product was that the holes in the cones still included bits of plastic. But it's not a big deal because all you need to do is melt it away with a lighter.
