These hooks were used in place of several of my O-ring/Husky Hang All type hangers.They appear to be fairly sturdy, however as other reviewers have noted, they do move from side to side. This travel bag is extremely cool. Designed with great care and with excellent engineering. If I say tough, I really mean it. I am astounded by how well my Chrysler 300 hooks up. Due to its longevity, I've been using it for my weekly camping trips for almost two months now, and it's still in like-new shape. It can tolerate moderate speed reduction and up to 100 degrees of heat on the roof of my car when traveling at the typical 65 to 80 mph in Florida. It is also important to note how much you can fit in this bag. When you're finished using it, simply clean it, roll it up in the included bag, and store it with your camping supplies to get the most value for the money, quality, use, and most importantly, practicability (if you are into it). Although I rated it five stars, this product merits more. It ranks among my top 3 Amazon purchases.

To go with my Skyline towers, I purchased two sets of landing pads. It was simple to secure the pads to the tracks.Unfortunately, I got my truck canopy with the track but I didn't order the other pieces because I wasn't sure when I'd want to buy them. The tracks with the end caps were attached by the canopy factory using a silicone-coated bolt. I had to take out the bolt with silicone holding the end cap in order to attach the landing pads. I reinstalled the end caps and siliconed the bolts into the mounting holes after installing the landing pads.(In my opinion, the Skyline towers with the steel core bar look beautiful on the canopy of my truck and function perfectly. I particularly appreciate how simple it is to remove the associated Skyline towers with bars without the towers moving and store them when not in use.I'm tempted to permanently put a track for another pair of Skyline towers on the roof of my truck because I enjoy utilizing them so much more than the more cumbersome, outmoded Q towers. The requirement to drill mounting holes in the roof is the only thing holding me back. Although there are extremely powerful sealers available, the alteration is nevertheless long-lasting.I was able to locate a set of four SKS locks at my neighborhood REI that use the same key as the Q towers on the roof of my truck. It was less expensive and simpler to purchase a set of locks and keys than to order them specifically. When I contacted REI regarding locks that had the same key, they claimed that the key number is not displayed on the packaging. When I arrived at the business, a member of the staff allowed me to verify the key numbers on the three boxes of four locks they had and found that the third and last box included my key, which made me very delighted.

Review of three pieces, including the 47 "The 480R foot packs, the Kit1064 fit kit, and Aeroblade.I utilized a vintage Yakima Rack for snowboarding. It spent a few years in attics, and I had duct taped the foot pads to the Q towers to prevent them from falling off. With Thule's technology, tape is not anticipated to be necessary. Each of the aforementioned pieces is every bit as well-made in terms of design and craftsmanship as it seems in the images. I was deeply moved. The 1064 Fit kit and the blades, in my opinion, did not come with any instructions, however the 480R traverse foot packs did. Visit the Thule website, select Fit Guide, enter your vehicle information, choose your rack, and then download the PDF installation instructions for the simplest installation procedures. Installing this rack requires three measurements: 1. the distance between your foot packs on the blades2. The distance between the windshield and your front foot pack3. The separation of the front and back bladesSearch "How to Install Thule 480 Traverse Roof Rack Presented by Rack Outfitters" on YouTube if you have those 3 digits (which are particular to car make and model). There is no dialogue in this five-minute professional video. It only depicts a man installing the rack and inserts text as necessary. With the help of this video, Rack Outfitters truly made this installation foolproof.Despite how highly I regard the Thule system, I'm returning mine. I am unable to leave my garage in my Tacoma when it is mounted with my kayak on it. This rack doesn't seem unduly tall to me, and neither does my kayak, in my opinion (its a WS Tarpon120). I do not believe that my Tacoma has 31 "is too tall in tires. My home's architecture is flawed. What was advertised to us as a "2 car attached garage" is actually a 1.5 car garage. or 1 automobile that allows for space to stroll around it. I'd really like to speak with whoever in the modern home construction industry decided that 7' was a suitable garage door height. Only 2 of the 4 trucks I've owned while residing in this home fit into my garage. The kayak must sit flush (or really close to it) with the top of the cab for me to be able to drive out of my garage with it on the roof. The Thule Xporter 500 appears to be the only kit that will enable this right out of the box. It's fairly expensive at $584 on Amazon compared to the $372 I paid for this setup, but based on my experience with this system, I'm certain that it will be as well-engineered. I'll save five to ten minutes each time I need to pack my kayak with that extra $200. Over time, it will be worthwhile if the convenience of loading the kayak onto the vehicle encourages me to spend more time on the water.

For Christmas, I was driving from Boston to southeast Pennsylvania with two folks and two dogs. To store all the gifts and luggage on the roof, we really needed something.Of expected, Boston experienced a severe sleet storm the day before we were scheduled to go. It lasted for more than 24 hours. It wasn't very enjoyable to fill it or to get it up the roof in that conditions. I had serious doubts that 1) it would remain firmly attached to the roof. 2) Upon our arrival, nothing would be harmed internally.Well, we drove for more than eight hours in the most terrible sleeting, pouring, and windy conditions I would never wish upon anyone. When we arrived, the buckles and straps were totally frozen, and it was firmly attached to the roof. Additionally, when we emptied it, everything inside was completely dry.I was awestruck. You just can't beat it for the price.It's a very durable bag. The waterproof material is thick. A flap with velcro fasteners is then used to entirely conceal the zipper. The straps are quite adjustable and of decent quality. Absolutely a recommendation.

Although it is true that the product is "compatible with... Thule T2, Yakima Hold-Up, etc.," it isn't exactly the whole picture. An adapter is necessary for compatibility with Thule T2, Yakima Hold-Up, etc.; this adds roughly 30% to the entire cost. In addition, when I searched on the day this review was written, neither Amazon (or Amazon merchants) nor Kuat Sherpa (T102) nor Yakima HoldUp (T104) adapters were available (T105).There are some useful movies that demonstrate how to install and use the Trail Doc on YouTube. To find the videos, simply search for "Kuat Trail Doc" on the YouTube website. Another thing to keep in mind is that the Trail Doc depends on the rack being folded into an upright posture, which you can learn by viewing some of the movies. Before a bike could be fastened into the Trail Doc for service, all bikes had to be removed from the rack.The product appears to be the only one of its kind on the market and is expertly built. If not for the slightly deceptive "rack compatibility" comment in the description, I would have given it all five stars.

It's a great rack. It is only detachable and installable with the key and your fingers, and it fits flush with the top.I simply followed the given instructions to complete the installation myself. Anyone even a little bit helpful shouldn't need to bring anything to the dealership.The fact that these bars have an aerofoil form makes them quieter than any square or oval bars I've used; nevertheless, I didn't quantify the increase in turbulence or drag. On paper, this would lessen the drag, but the effect in real life is unknown. With the sunroof open, the bars' silence compared to other bars I had installed on another car would mean less turbulence.They most certainly do not whistle. My previous Thule bars whistled in the wind. Although intriguing, it eventually grew tiresome.
