Yes, you can hook up 2 subs to a mono amp, but you won't get the full benefit of the amp's power unless you wire the subs in parallel. If you wire them in series, the amp will only be able to push half as much power to each sub.
A mono amp is a great way to power a subwoofer because it provides a lot of clean, undistorted power. If you're looking for the best possible sound quality from your subwoofer, a mono amp is the way to go.
If you're looking to power just one subwoofer, then a mono amplifier is what you need. A mono amp can deliver a large amount of power to your sub, making it hit harder and play louder. If you have multiple subwoofers, you can either get a mono amp for each sub or a multi-channel amplifier that can power multiple subs.
If you're looking to power a single speaker, then you'll need a mono amplifier. If you're looking to power two speakers, then you'll need a 2-channel amplifier.

I smelled burnt plastic coming down the road after it had operated perfectly for two months. The amp is fried, but the subwoofers still functioned. I filed a claim with Rockford Fosgate, and they honored it. They even sent me a brand-new amp once I returned the defective one. I'm not sure why this amp is $200 less expensive, but it makes me wonder if these are used or brand-new amplifiers. These are combined with a 240 amp alternator, the Big 3 upgrade, and 0 gauge wiring for the positive and grounds.I never put a lot of pressure on my system; gain was set to 6, and punch eq was off.EDIT*****12/25/18The amplifier was sent to me via Rockford Warranty Return. The problems persisted when I inserted the amp. I replaced the terminals after using my multi meter to identify the problem as being with my subwoofers, and now I have bass once again.I would heartily suggest this amplifier to anyone in need of a mono system. The amp uses a lot of power. This amp did not create anywhere like the amount of sound it claimed to before I had the Big Three upgrade done. This bad boy drives my P3s harder than ever when I added a 240 amp Singer H. O Alternator, a yellow top Optima, and 0 gauge wire. Seriously, if this amplifier malfunctions, I swear it was user error and not the amplifier's. Spend $20 on a multimeter and a tone generator with RCA outputs. It. is going to spare you a ton of headaches in the long term.

Very pleased with this amplifier. Coming from a Hifonics beast of an amplifier enthusiast, this amplifier is on a whole other level. having heard so much about the amp brand, I decided to test the waters. For serious and competitive vehicle audio aficionados, I highly suggest this item. Beginners should be aware that it is powerful.

This amplifier was purchased to go with my BOSS 12" subwoofer. I purchased the "kit" version since I thought having all the wiring would be useful, but because I'm using it to drive a 2-ohm load, I decided to go a little larger with the wire gauge. You can see that I used 4-gauge for the ground, 6-gauge for the power, and 8-gauge for the speaker wire in the second image. The amp is situated perfectly behind the back passenger-side seat, making it simple for me to access the gain and other controls (see the 3rd picture). This 2-ohm stable amplifier can last for years if you make sure to give it plenty of cooling area around it.The "kit" version is probably fine if you are driving a 4- or 8-ohm load; I only decided to increase the wire gauge since I was driving a 2-ohm load and I had access to stronger wire. It's mounted in a 2008 Chrysler Aspen with the Alpine "luxury" sound system as a point of reference. The stock system sounds fantastic; it simply required a little extra "kick," which this BOSS system expertly provided. Definitely a good choice if you want more bass. It won't shake the windows of your neighbors, but if paired with the right subwoofer and set up correctly, it will add additional depth to your music.

I used to be pretty interested high-end audio equipment in high school, but I vowed never to get a "Boss amp." My $600 premium amp eventually failed after seven years, and the warranty had expired four years before. I needed a new amp, so I turned to the Cheap Boss amp. Let me start by saying that I have always held a high bias against any Boss products, calling them a cheap walmart brand. Boy was I ever wrong. I'm not cranking this thing out to 2ohm at 2000rms, but it still powers my 15" comp sub beautifully. I'm not as crazy about audio as I once was. If it died, I could easily get another for the price.$50 is a great price for 6 months of use, however the only drawback is that it has been in use for longer than 6 months and continues to function well. It's kind of ironic considering how often I disparaged this company.REVISION: 6/20/18I didn't think this thing would live more than six months, but it's still working and pushing like it did on day one.At this point, I consider myself to be a fanboy, and if it died tomorrow, I would get another one the same day.

Although this amplifier is a monster, it consumes a lot of power. I'm driving two zvx-12v2 subwoofers wired in series at 1 ohm with this amplifier. The way my automobile flexes makes the entire thing resemble a lung. Initially, I had 0 gauge ofc wire running from my primary h8 AGM battery to a Northstar group 31 AGM battery, then to the amp powered by a singer 390 amp alternator, before connecting to a 50 farad capacitor. However, this wire kept blowing a 500 amp circuit breaker. I just bought 2/0 OFHC wire from GP Car Audio, and I intend to run it twice, once from my primary battery to my secondary battery, and once using twin amp inputs to run it twice to the capacitor and amplifier. I'm hoping it will stop blowing my circuit breaker. Because so many manufacturers exaggerate the power of their amplifiers, I decided to buy the RP 4500. Skar, however, significantly underestimated the power of this device. It was tested on a dyno at 5164 watts RMS at 14.2 volts. I would suggest this amplifier to anyone who takes their audio system seriously; however, they must ensure that they have premium wire and a proper charging system.

This was purchased to go with two Skar audio SDR 12s. I used 12 gauge speaker wire to wire them down to one ohm, and the amp is powered by genuine 4 gauge OFC wire. The amp definitely has the power to move my subwoofers, but it's not as loud as you might expect from 1500w rms. I won't disparage this amp for that, either, because it could just be my subwoofer.I recently received a new box, and they are now three times as loud. **EDIT 10-1-19:** With this arrangement, Amp is now able to truly go down. The proximity of the connectors on this amplifier, even with reducers, makes it practically impossible to utilize 0 gauge wire. There is a good chance that the wires, which will be only a millimeter apart, will touch and short out. 4 gauge is still acceptable, however for this kind of application, larger wire is preferable. The adjustment knobs are all made of metal, not cheap plastic like the amps I've previously had, and the screw downs are all of high quality.Overall, it's an excellent amp for the money, and I recommend it. Just be sure to use genuine, 4 gauge OFC wires.

For the non-Bose system in my 2002 Chevy Tahoe, I bought this subwoofer. The fact that it actually fits without changing the OEM box pleased me. Although additional holes must be drilled for the screws to fit, the magnet does not bottom out in the tiny enclosure since the basket fits in the opening. Although it won't win any SPL competitions when I use the stock amplifier, it sounds clear and really nails the lows. When you consider the price, it's a truly amazing subwoofer that is quite precise. If you'd want to see how I installed it, I uploaded a video to YouTube. 2000-2006 Tahoe Subwoofer Install is the title. I apologize if the picture is grainy; I have one as well.**Update** Even after using it for a few months, I still adore this subwoofer! In comparison to when I originally installed it, it sounds even better. As it broke in, it appeared to have warmed up a little. I've also added a video that shows how I installed the system in my 2002 Chevy Tahoe. I sincerely hope it is. Please click the yes button below if you found this review to be helpful. Thanks!!

I unintentionally burned out my Planet Audio AC1500 1M mono amp, but I'm not blaming the amp or Planet Audio; it was my wiring. BUT I'm glad I did since, while the AC1500 was fine, I currently have to use my 2014 Jeep Wrangler's high inputs to power the amp. Even with the gain turned up, you still just push dirt because the head units on Jeeps are generally subpar. I was having trouble getting any thunder or any thump out of my DVC 8" bazooka, and every time I tried to increase the gain, I would just end up getting dirt. The 18db gain boost button on THIS little bad boy converted my tomato soup can bazooka BACK INTO a BAZOOKA! It sounds crazy, but I finally get the punch I sought in the front seat.Get this one rather than the PA AC1500 1M if you're using high inputs and you know your head unit is underpowered.

I've had this amplifier for about two years and I adore it! I suggest it to all of my friends, and the most of them are now using it for their vehicle sub setups as well. This had fantastic sound quality when I used it in my Dodge Ram with two 10" kickers (boost turned town for 10's). Additionally, it easily slid beneath the center console (2003 model). It sounds even better now that I'm using it for two 12" Pioneer speakers in the back of my 4Runner! I fastened the amp to the side of my sub box using the mounts that came pre-installed on the amplifier. It has a contemporary appearance, and the lighted boss logo is stylish. (SIDE NOTE: Due to the backlit logo's intense nighttime reflection in my rear window, I had to cover it up. This is merely something to bear in mind when installing; it is not a judgment on the quality of the amp or the boss.)Using the screws to tighten down on the cables during installation was quite easy. I strongly advise purchasing the boss wiring kit in addition to this. It comes with excellent-quality cables that are all required for setup. I do wish the wires were included with the amplifier, but as long as you remember to get cables when you order the amplifier, it's not a big concern.Positives: - Excellent sound quality - Manual frequency, bass boost, and power adjustments - Never overheated - Silent cooling fan - Mounts neatly and securely - Easily powers two 12" speakersCons: - Does not come with cords - Does not come with mounting hardware - Remote adjustment knob appears to be malfunctioning (Not really a big deal to me though)
A car subwoofer is a loudspeaker designed to reproduce low-pitched audio frequencies, typically below 500 Hz. A subwoofer is distinct from a woofer, a loudspeaker designed to reproduce frequencies between 2,000 and 20,000 Hz. A car subwoofer needs an amplifier to function properly. The amplifier provides the power necessary to move the subwoofer cone and produce sound. Without an amplifier, the subwoofer will not be able to produce any sound.
If you have two subwoofers, you'll need an amplifier that can deliver enough power to each sub. The size of the amp will depend on the power handling of the subs. A good rule of thumb is to get an amp that can deliver twice the power of the subwoofers. So, if your subs can handle 500 watts each, you'll want an amp that can deliver 1,000 watts.
If you're looking to add a little more bass to your music, you might be wondering, "How many channel amp do I need for 4 speakers and 1 sub?" The answer depends on a few factors, but in general, you'll need an amp that can deliver at least 50 watts RMS to each speaker, and an additional amp for your subwoofer. Of course, the more power you have, the louder your system will be, so it's important to find the right balance for your needs. With a little planning and forethought, you can build the perfect system for
A mono block amplifier is a great way to power a subwoofer or multiple subwoofers. Most mono block amplifiers have one or two channels. This means that you can connect one or two subwoofers to a mono block amplifier. If you are looking to add more bass to your car audio system, then you may want to consider adding an additional mono block amplifier to power additional subwoofers.
4ohm is better because it provides more power to the speaker. 2ohm is not as powerful and can cause the speaker to overheat.
A lot of people believe that 50 watts per channel is not enough to power a quality car audio system. However, this is not necessarily true. There are a lot of quality car audio systems that are powered by 50 watts per channel. One of the most important things to consider when choosing a car audio system is the quality of the components. If you have high-quality components, then you can get great sound even with a lower wattage. Another thing to consider is how you are using your car audio system. If you are only using it for casual listening, then
