What a terrific little receiver!I appreciate the power of the unit-not it's watts, but it's feature set. It's got a superb EQ, built in crossover and even some DSP parameters for boosting soundstage and cabin acoustics. It's a compact but standard DIN chassis, is iPhone friendly and has good screen clarity when reading details. Sound quality is superb and it features 4v preouts for good signal strength.Only nitpicking complaints that are based on a cumbersome menu structure for making tuning and sound adjustments. Instruction manual isn't veryclear , but if you can build a simple sound system I think the reasoning in the menu system is evident if you play with the settings.Coming from Alpine for much of my car driving life this was a delight! I can't think of a better unit with this much bang for little money. Highly recommended!!Update after several weeks of use and tuning: I like this unit even better now that Ive gotten more experienced with changing parameters and how they effect the sound. I absolutely enjoy the x-over settings option to choose slopes. I prefer steep slopes for tweeters and subs but mild slopes for middle speakers and this deck offers that possibility. It truly makes a difference in seamless reaction from driver cohesiveness. The DSP functions aren't very strong but are subtle and definitely distinguishable. A bit audiophile... I like this. The display is bright, crisp and very fairly adjustable. You can set the color and brightness for day and night with a huge range to choose from which is important to keeping the dash visually undistracting.I had sound initial issues setting up simple system parameters because the manual and scrolling of settings in the menu system was extremely complicated and I had gains really funked up for a long time. Taking your time and being patient really helped here along with being very conservative with initial amp gain settings.I also had trouble pairing my iPhone 6s to it via BT. Once I figured it out it connects quickly and has good reception for Bluetooth use. I don't and haven't yet used the calling or answering functions yet as I don't talk and drive.I am really lovin this deck. It's got all I need and much I could want for a super reasonable price. Now that I'm older and not into impressing my buddies with my mega dollar, mega watts system, I'm greatly enjoying fabulous sound with modest watts and a simple system from this great head unit and iPhone as my source. Why some other reviewers claimed there was gear noise is beyond me. My own is completely silent. Maybe a redesign has taken place? Anyway, I have an older car that is flawless in all respects save for the fact that it lacks an aux input. My phone used to have a headphone port, but it has since been removed. I had previously tried the wired cassette converters, but they were noisy.This Aluratek adapter is there. Although I didn't have big hopes, I WAS AMAZED by the sound quality. Really. I couldn't believe it was coming from the cassette, in all sincerity! It really did sound that nice. Other reviews I've read have advised removing the protective head cover, etc. I didn't carry it out. A thin piece of plastic should be placed between two metal heads to prevent scratching.In any case, as long as you put it correctly, it ought to function. My devices paired fast, and once more, I was anticipating mediocre quality. However, I couldn't believe the music was streaming from my phone over Bluetooth to this adapter.I'm really happy I bought this.

Although there are a few omissions and problems I haven't heard highlighted, the product is largely as promised.Lack of an AM radio tuner; difficult installation in my 2002 Subaru WRX because the item was somewhat larger than a typical Double-Din; required some tinkering. Additionally, it was frustrating that the supplied brackets hardly fit the machine.- The Logo Picker for system setup was fantastic, however there was no Subaru logo! Only roughly 15 logos to choose from.- Radio tuner can be tricky, for some reason it can go to two decimal places (96.35) and trying to manually set it can be difficults- Music from any source cuts out while navigating menuss- Alarmingly light and plasticky, I hope it lasts!The backup camera hasn't been setup yet; once it is, I'll update this review.Edit: I raised my rating from three to four stars. Even if the most of my aforementioned problems are manageable once the unit is correctly configured, they are still present. If it had an AM radio and the Subaru insignia, it would receive a five-star rating. Please share if you are aware of a technique to add more logos!I installed the backup camera and initially it didn't immediately turn on when the car was put into reverse. I connected it into the Aux video line and was able to bring it up by selecting that input, which was an acceptable compromise. But as soon as I contacted the vendor via Amazon, they immediately sent out a new wiring harness. This new harness fixed the difficulties with the backup camera and it now operates as it's supposed to. So given the absolute bargain pricing, respectable feature set and great customer service, I now rate this a 4 star product.

All the features they mention work fine, I have no complains. I bought a harness and installation kit for my specific kit and that’s what I recommend everyone else do as well because they’re cheap and it’s not worth the hassle to do it without them. I don’t know whether it’s the car stereo’s fault or the installation kit fault, but my stereo doesn’t fit snug into the kit. I think the installation kit was missing a piece or something, but despite that, it works great and in my old car, I don’t need it to look perfect. If you get a harness from somewhere else, the installation is pretty easy as well. Overall, if you need Bluetooth/aux in your car, this is a great cheap easy option. I don’t think it’s of use to anyone with a newer car. You can get something fancier with a screen and maybe CarPlay/android auto if you spend more money, but if Bluetooth/fm/aux is all you need, this will work just fine and save you a bunch. The color changing looks pretty cool as well. I don’t think I’ll actually use the remote though.

For an install on a 2005 Honda Accord, I required a double din. My expectations for a bluetooth radio and backup camera at this price are modest. The installation is very straightforward if you've fitted vehicle radios before, however the provided instructions is not particularly comprehensive. I got the Metra dash kit to finish the installation, however either the radio is somewhat bigger or the dash kit was not fully double din size. In any case, the hole was widened with a fast Dremel pass.I assume some individuals are experiencing issues with the backup camera wire trigger because the vendor was fantastic about giving unprompted emails to help with the installation. There were no problems getting this to function as it was described in the handbook. The backup camera is functional and clear. Of note, the radio will not turn on again until you have moved out of reverse once the backup camera is activated. Not a significant deal, but worth noting.When it comes to bluetooth, pairing is a little different because you have to search for the item on your phone before you can click pair. The radio doesn't need to do anything to begin the pairing process. Once the protective film was removed, the sound quality was good and the touch screen was reasonably responsive. Since I didn't get a chance to test the bluetooth, I can't comment on its clarity or built-in microphone.So, to summarize. The absence of AM radio is not a problem for the car's owner. Although I can't speak to its endurance, it has a lot of features for around $50, and my early thoughts are good.

Rarely do I feel obliged to write reviews for purchases, and even less frequently do I do so 15 minutes after unwrapping the package. I recently purchased this product and gave it a try in my car. I was astonished by how nicely it performed. I decided to add a somewhat more in-depth (and less whining) review because of how many confusing reviews there were for these kinds of things, which would whine about the smallest faults as if they were deal breakers.Disclaimer: Because I won't be using headphones with this product, I did not test it with headphones. Additionally, this evaluation was written after only a brief period of use. If this paragraph is still present when you read the review, it signifies that I am still satisfied with the item, have not had any problems with it since writing the review, and have not felt the need to add any new details to the review.Let me first explain my use case because it's crucial to your choice. I have a dated JVC head unit in my car that only has a headphone jack and no USB or Bluetooth ports. My phone, an Xperia Z5 Compact, has a defective headphone jack that causes audio to go off at the least bump when I use it to stream music from YouTube and Bandcamp. But I still adore the phone and don't want to get a new one (out of warranty). I therefore tried this extremely simple solution to attempt and solve my problem. (Anyway, I've wanted bluetooth in the car for a while.) On my phone, I utilize navigation quite often as well.The three buttons are arranged perfectly, and the device is quite compact and light. Everything you need is included, with the exception of a 12v cigarette lighter adaptor for charging the device in the car if there are no available USB ports. The packaging is good (but those are very cheap as well.) I didn't read the handbook since I didn't have to.moving on to utilize it. I just took it out of the packaging, turned it on, paired it with my phone using Bluetooth, and plugged it into the car. It has a very tight headphone jack, which I believe is a good thing because it means your jack won't probably get loose over time from frequent use, as the one on my phone did. It's simple and quick to pair the device. Additionally, I observed that several reviews on these expressed dissatisfaction with the need that you keep the power button down for around 1.5 seconds when you first enter the vehicle. This is only a problem if you wish to conceal the unit and keep it out of sight. This doesn't concern me in the least and has no bearing on me. Also, is turning it on by reaching into your glove box and pressing the power button for 1.5 seconds really that big of a deal? Just be sure to route your aux cable properly and avoid placing it in an awkward location.The only problem I had with the device while testing was that when I turned it off while a YouTube video's audio was playing and then turned it back on, the audio would only play via the phone speakers once more. I was able to solve this issue quickly by simply turning off and back on my Bluetooth. Since I won't generally do that in the automobile, I don't believe this is a problem.Your phone's features are actually controlled by the buttons on the device. Therefore, pressing the pause button will actually pause any music, videos, or other content you are currently listening to on your phone. The media volume on your phone is changed by the volume buttons. I don't know why I didn't anticipate this, but I adore it. I don't mind the small delay between pushing the button and the real pause.The audio quality was identical to that of my aux cable (when it worked). I came to this conclusion by playing the identical YouTube song (video) that I had only a short while earlier. Actually, the sound quality is very good. As some reviews have reported, there was no audio popping when I halted the music or turned the device on and off. I therefore award the sound quality on my particular item full points. However, your results may vary. I suppose there is a lot of variation between units of this cheap Chinese-made item, and I got lucky (so far.)And for me, that very much sums up the unit. It operates extremely simply and effectively. Only time will tell at this point whether the unit will last. When summer returns and the unit grows hot, we'll see if I should continue to leave it plugged in via the cigarette lighter in my car.Again, if these phrases are still present in my review, it signifies that I continue to be completely satisfied with the unit for my use case and have experienced no problems. I've never actually changed the car stereo in any of the vehicles I've owned, but with the advent of the "hands-free" rule, I discovered that I needed a way to answer calls without using my hands or have my GPS spell out my destination while I'm driving. The sound quality isn't great, but given the age of this car, I'm not losing anything by going this route because it's so inexpensive. I wanted it for the Bluetooth functionality so I could utilize the built-in microphone for hands-free calling as well as connect my MP3 player and play my play list through the car stereo. With this, I can make calls while driving without taking my eyes off the road, answer them, reject them, or even redial a call I missed. This stereo is equivalent to all the well-known brand names, but I didn't want to spend so much when I could go for one that would serve my needs just as well for much less. Even though I didn't previously communicate much from the car, I can at least accept critical calls regarding times, appointments, etc. and finally be able to hear thanks to the noise-reduction features in the microphone. It was not possible to talk on the phone while driving even with the speaker turned on. Both they and I were unable to hear each other. Although he didn't follow the directions, my friend who conducted the installation said it was just as straightforward as any other installation he had ever done. And when I swap cars, which should happen soon, I can either restore the car's original system and keep it for my new one or let it go with a bonus feature when I sell my own vehicle. As my daughter hasn't had much practice behind the wheel yet, I won't have to worry if she spends time trying to answer her phone or access certain music while attempting to drive if I give her my car instead. With this put in my car, I feel considerably secure and am glad I did it. I never imagined I'd reach the age of nearly sixty, but I have, and as a result, am able to drive more safely. This item is comparable to a 4 or 5 star and four times or more the price rated item for the price. I haven't found many things to be upset about so far. Maybe a four because of how dark the screen is, but overall, worth the money I spent.

For the price, I didn't expect much. I just needed a simple set up for my car - previous radio was stolen a long time ago. It took some figuring out, primarily because of wire color difference. I got it installed, except the camera (detailed later) and everything worked fine. The touchscreen was fairly responsive, no issues with that. The knob (volume) feels delicate, so I'm not gonna bother with it too much. The wheel remote and hand remote will be useful. Overall, I'm content.* Sound quality: There's a lot of static beyond volume 20. This isn't an issue with my car's speakers or lines - I used to have a high-dollar system and all of it was installed professionally. It's definitely a unit issue (seller, feel free to send me another unit to double-check the sound quality isn't a sole-issue with this unit :)**** Touch screen: Seller recommends using the fingernail to use the touchscreen. Maybe because it's brand new, I had no issues, but so far the touch screen is really responsive and works great!**** Remote control(s): This unit came with two remotes. I like that idea because a third person can use the detached remote and there is a remote on the steering wheel which allows for less distraction while driving. Kids like having their own remote, too.You may need additional parts. The item comes with some basic stuff, but I found that the mounts need different screws than what it came with. Therefore, I haven't installed the camera yet or tried it out because the unit isn't mounted all the way. In the meantime, I'll run the lines and install the camera, but as for mounting it, I'll have to go to home depot to get the specific screws it needs.Who is this good for? Simple use functions. I wouldn't recommend putting this with a high-dollar sound system. It's a good replacement for older vehicles with a compatible 7" deck.It's cheap, easy to use, easy to install, functions great, but sound is kind of bad. Other than that, I'm happy with it.EDIT: So, apparently the wiring harness the unit came with was bad. That's what was causing the static in the sound beyond volume 20. I ended up making a new harness for the speaker wires, now it sounds great!Here's some more info:Connect the orange wire (back in) from the unit to the red wire on the video cable then connect the other end to the camera power cord (red) (red). Once those are connected, attach them to the reverse light wire. No need to use the ground, don't waste time with it. The radio is already grounded.BTW, those lines on the screen aren't a malfunction. That's what the black wallpaper looks like.

I wanted to wait a week or so before publishing this review to see if it lived up to all the hype. For the price of a regular head unit you're getting a double din touch screen with backup camera. The installation was easy I used Metra wiring harness and Metra adapter for the antenna which I also wrote reviews on. The back-up camera itself is good quality in daylight in low light due to the LED lights around the camera. I had an issue in the beginning getting my mirror link to work with my Android phone because I'm running version 9.0 on a pocophone F1. after reading the directions going into developer mode and downloading a small piece of software patch I was able to get it up and running no problem. So for under $100 I got a double DIN head unit two wiring harnesses. Honestly I couldn't be happier the Bluetooth and hands-free calling work great. there's even an option to download all of your contacts which I did. I'm currently only running front speakers because it's for my work van and do not have rear speakers. But the sound quality compared to the original head unit is night and day. I will keep updating my review as time goes by to keep you informed of the long-term quality of this product. But as for now I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend.
