I truly have no idea why I have been purchasing the cans separately for so long. I suppose I felt scared because the variety packs generally tend to be more expensive and because I was hesitant to buy so many cans at once. Four cats were left behind in our culdesac the previous year. They were not being fed. Since we had three enormous dogs, my husband and I could not bear to see them go hungry, but we had no idea what to do. Fancy Feast was my purchase. My two cats, who are rescues and are between 1.5 and 2 years old, are completely obsessed with this stuff. They were fed Blue Buffalo when they were in foster care. They ate the Iams indoor-cat wet food we tried when we first got them, but they kept passing gas (plus the packaging was annoying). They also ate the Sheba, which we tried, although it has the same unpleasant packaging. We then switched to Fancy Feast, and my cats have enjoyed every variety so far, but they are especially fond of the seafood pate flavor. It's fantastic from a human standpoint since opening the can without a spoon is really simple. The only drawback I've noticed is that occasionally some cat food fluid splatters when I lift the pop-top lid, but other than that, this device is quite convenient.
