This was initially purchased for my kitchen. It functions as intended. If they approach too closely, it may shock them.Now I utilize it quite differently...One of my cats was giving me trouble. In the middle of the night, she would paw and strike at the door to my bedroom. She was damaging the carpet while keeping us up all night. Due of allergies, I can't let her in the bedroom. Excellent canister suction; the greatest we've ever seen. Follows well on hard floors, and the wide, close-to-the-wall brush for hard floors is wonderful. However, the turbo head is unexpectedly difficult to move on low pile carpet; it needs a lot of power (two hands and lower suction) to do it. There is absolutely no mention of that issue in the handbook or any of the internet tutorials. Particularly the "Ear" setting for "energy saving," which is supposed to be silent mode, has little difference in noise level. The power level slider appears to have no effect. only one dust bag was included. It seems reasonable that a $400 vacuum should have a HEPA bag rather than shipping with a subpar bag and requiring you to purchase an aftermarket HEPA bag. In the past 20 years, every new vacuum I have purchased or looked at has included a HEPA bag. Why would a customer choose not to use a HEPA bag? Excellent for bare floors but bad for carpet.

I got two of them for my house because I have largely hard floors. They have so far lived up to their promises. I left mine in automatic mode because I don't have any little children or animals, which just makes them easier to operate. There is no debris left behind because to the powerful motor. The only thing that bothers me is that the dirt and dog hair all stick to the filter rather than settling to the base of the dirt reservoir. I can't just dump the dirt out because a lot of it gets stuck in the filter's vanes. I had to remove the filter, hold it over the garbage can, and do my best to brush the debris off of it. For a few reasons, this is inappropriate. First of all, it hurts my neck. More importantly, the fact that these HEPA filters get so filthy and clogged so quickly is a serious issue because they are not updated. I used an old dryer sheet and elastic bands to attach it around the filter in order to solve this issue. I no longer need to regularly clean and wash the filter because I can just peel it off when it becomes clogged with debris and replace it.My husband claimed to have heard one of them turn on twice during the night, so I turned the automated feature off. The only thing that makes sense to me is that a spider set it off.Update #2: I bought two more filters because the dryer sheet thing isn't really that simple. Now, when it's time, I brush the dirt out of the filter and wash it. I placed it aside to dry while placing a spare in the EyeVac. Work seems to be going well.

These vacuums are by far the greatest I've ever had. My life has never been the same since I ran a few vacation rentals years ago and splurged on the Miele Olympus model. This one is just as amazing, and I just bought it for my house. Its extension is even long enough to vacuum my vaulted wood beam ceilings, and I find myself eager to vacuum my floors, drapes, and sofa. I walk around telling all my friends how much easier life is now because of a vacuum, making me sound like an Miele ad! I believe that unless they have one of these, people find it difficult to comprehend why it is such a big deal. Don't be concerned about the price; these vacuums last a lifetime and never lose suction, so you'll never need to buy another one. I can't believe I'm even devoting this much time to writing a review of a vacuum!

I have three of them, and I'd be shocked if I ever discovered a product that could compete with the ProTeam line. My wife and I provide cleaning services for both homes and businesses, and we have never been dissatisfied with the performance of our vacuums. Your arms and wrists won't hurt with these backpacks, even after several hours of vacuuming. Reaching corners of ceilings, where loathsome spiders love to challenge us, is not at all difficult. Reaching beneath chairs, tables, and sofas is a breeze. Also quick and easy are bag changes and filter cleanings. Although I've used extension cords from various suppliers, the one provided by ProTeam appears to function the best (I'm not sure why, but it is less likely to tangle and become kinked). We invested in the extra backpack with the intention of using it exclusively at a home where the owner had undergone a stem cell transplant, rendering the immune system dormant. We were certain that this vacuum would successfully uphold the necessary level of sanitization. It didn't let us down, and we'd like to believe that it aided in our client's quick recuperation in a clean environment.In conclusion, we adore the quality of this item. I am unable to comment on the company's customer service because we have never needed to contact them.

Please take note that everything in my tiny home is in tight quarters. I don't have kids, pets, or plush carpeting.I went through one of the Kenmore canister vacuums after another over the course of a few years. When the telescopic wand on the second one broke, I went shopping and discovered the newest model, which had the same issues as the two I already purchased. Those vacuum cleaners were the WORST. Enough. Why not consider something more compact and affordable? The Kenmore and the "beater-bar" apparatus were already too big and heavy for me and the house.When I told my husband that I had purchased a $49 vacuum cleaner, he scoffed. The two attachments were given the nickname "the Build-A-Bear attachments" when they were delivered since they appeared to go with a doll house. They are indeed useless. however hilarious After purchasing a few items here that claimed to be 1 1/4 inch when they weren't, I went to EZVacuum.com (which uses Amazon checkout) and bought brush and crevace tools. Read the evaluations. The included holder was never installed.I pick up the vacuum by the handle because it is so compact and lightweight and move around without stopping. Nothing separates when I pull it behind me. The first time I switched it on, I unintentionally sucked up something and had to remove it because the suction is so strong. The floor attachment is sufficiently compact to fit in the space I want. With the old, enormous vacuum, I had to first clean the middle of the floors before going back and doing the corners, around and under furniture, etc. with it still attached.I always vacuum while wearing earplugs, so I don't hear anything out of the ordinary when it makes noise. For me at 5' 6", the telescoping wand is adequate. My home just has one story, but stairs would be fantastic here. While slightly shorter than on the big vacuum cleaner, the cord and hose are not a concern. I like that the ON button is on the vacuum itself rather than at the hose's end. I truly like this one, and if it breaks in a few years, so did the more expensive ones I previously bought.

One evening, I typed in "small vacuums" in the search bar and simply continued clicking pages until I found this tiny Oreck. After reading the reviews, it sounded like a decent small machine.I didn't need a large shop vac to perform extensive cleanups. I have that, but hauling it from my shop to the vehicle and bringing it to a customer's house is a pain. I have a large, yet silent, Fein dust extractor. If I need it, it will take care of the large jobs. However, I have to be mindful and remember to bring it. In order to avoid having to remember to pack up the vacuum, I needed one that I could always have in the truck. Because of its tiny size and rectangular shape, I was able to permanently store it in the truck crates so I would always have it with me.My primary use right now is tidying up after putting in cabinets and moldings. Small shavings of wood and sawdust are produced by these kinds of jobs. The dust always manages to get into the floor or carpet, despite my best efforts to cover it with tarps or other floor coverings. I use the vacuum to keep the job site tidy both during and after. I suppose the little bag is the only serious issue I have. Except when using the tablesaw, which creates a lot of sawdust, it's not actually that awful. The bags cost only 40 cents each, which is incredibly cheap. Because I'm cheap, I typically toss the sawdust out once or twice before switching to a new bag. I've discovered that there is space within the machine where the vacuum bag goes on each side for two additional bags. It's wonderful since I won't have to go out to the truck to replace it.Installing baseboard and casings for doors, windows, and other openings in a house that had been extensively renovated was my vacuum's first significant application. All of the floors were made of oak hardwood and had a walnut stain. White sawdust stands out like a sore thumb on a dark floor. The Oreck works well because of its bigger floor attachment. To clean the dark flooring, I use the floor attachment's brush function, and it really takes up everything so nicely. One pass usually sufficed to completely clean up an area, but if something was a little ground in, you might need to go back and forth to get the dust up. The inside of recently installed cabinets, window sills, and baseboards may all be cleaned with the round brush without leaving stains or causing damage.The strap coming free and the vacuum falling to the floor were issues I also encountered. To prevent the strap from pulling through, I tied the machine-supplied twist tie over it. This fixed the issue. There is no doubt that Oreck needs to fix this. It's inappropriate.For keeping the vacuum in the truck, I made a tiny plywood box with a very small footprint that safely accommodates the vacuum and all the tools. The vacuum has impressed me thus far quite a bit.

A thermal protection function keeps the motor from overheating, despite some users reporting that their motor ceased operating. The motor is ready for use once it has cooled down. Since I've had it, this has only happened once, and it only occurs while using vacuum attachments that restrict the air flow to the motor for extended lengths of time. It should also be anticipated to occur after warm-up vacuuming. Because the motor receives its air via the vacuum hose, it stands to reason that the more air that is constrained or heated as it is drawn in, the quicker the motor will become hot and activate the thermal protection. This is quite normal, and you'll be glad it has this option because it will make the vacuum last longer.
