These cups are made of leather, and not plastic! Enough already! If you have ever used a plastic pump, you are aware that it will "miss" and fail to pump any air into the tank.As long as you take care of them, these leather cups will last for a very long time. I still use the original leather cups on my more than 34-year-old stove and lamp. These serve as the substitutes. Although I don't know when I will need them, I have them stored away "just in case." These are stored in the accessory safe along with extra generators and mantels.The parts are shown to be on cardboard stock on the product website. I'm fine with the plastic bag in which mine arrived. The three pieces are still all present.

This is the component on your Coleman lantern that needs replacing the most often. This component is the weakest in comparison to everything else, including the glass. I've tried other off-brands, but Coleman mantles are the best, in my opinion. Although I can't say with certainty, they seem to be a little more durable after having the lantern tip over in my trunk when it was in the Coleman carrying case. And call me traditional, but I like the wire twist versions to the tie-on versions. I like that I can equally tune the "pleats" around the gas output, however with the wire I don't think I can do it as effectively.

Except for testing purposes, I haven't utilized this yet. None of the lanterns I tried, though, were really bright. I tried out many lanterns with more lumens and none of them were that bright, and I even compared several together with different lumens and could not tell them apart. I then learned to ignore the specs on the lanterns since it seems everyone is measuring the lumens differently or lumens something else equals how bright the lantern will be and I cannot figure out what the something else is. Then, because it was a GE, I had to give this one a try. Out of all the lanterns I tested, this one is the brightest. The keeper was in this. I haven't had a chance to use it yet; I've only had a chance to test it out, which is why I only gave it four stars. When summer arrives, I'll start using it, and we'll see how well it stands up.

I wrote to Coleman about the #95 Mantles, saying that their latest iteration is terrible and not worth a dime. They must go back to the type with the longer wires and simple installation.

This candle lantern has a creative design. The candles are held in place by tiny retaining cylinders with springs so that as the candle melts, the flame remains in the exact same, optimal location. The three candles appear to be powerful enough combined that you might eventually boil water by placing a container on the flat metal top of the lantern. The flame is covered by glass so it operates even in mild wind (although I have never tried that). Although this design is ingenious, it uses technology that Benjamin Franklin would be well familiar with.Is something that operates on candles practical in the contemporary world? Actually, no. A smaller, lighter, more robust, brighter, cheaper alternative to pricey candles, and one that poses no fire risk is the LED lantern.However, I recently got back from a five-day vehicle camping vacation when I seldom used my large LED light but lit this thing every single night.The LED lantern was relegated to serving as my primary source of light as I did dishes or other task-based duties. It was then almost immediately switched off in favor of this lamp, which was used from dusk till bedtime.The nice, warm, and calming glow of this lantern simply cannot be compared to the harsh "cold" white light of a contemporary LED lantern. For years, I've used a brass original UCO candle lantern. When you need only a little light to illuminate a small area when camping but don't want the brightness or commotion of a Coleman lantern, this is an excellent option. I've never experienced wax dripping into the candle holder, but perhaps that's because I don't move the candle around much once it's lit. All of the candles I've used—UCO, others, citronella, and beeswax—perform admirably for the intended purpose. The UCO brand candles aren't much different from other brands, in my opinion. For me, they all appear to be effective. I appreciated that a reflector was included in this package. I use reflectors with all of my little and micro lanterns, which are numerous. I occasionally utilize the reflector on my new original lantern when I want a little bit more concentrated light or want to stop the light from beaming directly at me. I used metal polish to shine the reflector and fashioned a small drawstring pouch out of T-shirt material to carry it in. Before inserting the candle lantern, I simply tuck the drawstring within the cocoon to keep the reflector and lantern secure and protected.I also own a few top hat reflectors, which are excellent for shining light downward when a lantern is suspended over a table or in a tent. Additionally, I developed backpacks to serve as protection for these reflectors.In addition to using the original lanterns while camping and during power outages, I have included a tiny light in each of my emergency packs. I'm pleased with all of my candle lanterns overall and would purchase more if necessary. I would suggest these to anyone in need of a gentle light for camping, emergency supplies, a portable heater for a tent, or if they were stranded in their automobile during the winter. These lights are quite useful and simple to operate.

works great. The flint looks somewhat wilted. Actually, I used a replacement flint I had for a Zippo lighter to replace the original one. Great results. No more attempting to get the flame to go up that hole with a match or lighter while the gas is developing. Then a fireball appears from the top. We've all engaged in it. Haha. scares the living daylights out of non-campers. Neither simply waiting to see how it performs while being used continuously for numerous nights while camping. My Coleman Dual Fuel is here. about twenty years old. VERY WELL USED since I can no longer locate the genuine "Coleman Fuel." I simply use standard unleaded fuel. We'll see how this igniter holds up, like I already indicated. All is well thus far.I'm adding to the list of reviews after reading others. On my dual fuel, it was initially difficult to turn. It does have adjustable height, as I noticed. As you can see, there is a wire inserted into one side of the top brass nut, which may move up and down a channel in the main body. Turn the brass nut on the striker knob once you've raised it above the fuel tank to a comfortable height for you to do so. This will remove the wire from the channel. The height will then be locked. Despite the fact that it is still up and down, straight. After that, fasten the chrome nut and washer to the bottom. Pretty basic. It requires some mechanical talent, but I'm certain it doesn't require any more than the willingness to spend the night outside without a cell phone to provide light. Haha.
