The excellent battery life of DSLR cameras is their finest feature. It's the main reason I haven't yet invested in mirrorless. For my Canon 5D, I have three batteries, and I can go for weeks without having to recharge them. Unfortunately, I misplaced my charger because it had been so long since I had charged my batteries. When I looked, the genuine Canon charger was over $50. What makes their charger so unique? It is marked with the Canon logo. I'm done now. There are only a few transistors in the box. There is a $1 manufacturing fee. Regardless, I discovered this charger for $7 and decided to purchase it. Due to its smaller size, I believe that this charger is actually superior to the Canon charger. A charger, that is. It works. I'm content.It appears to charge more slowly than the original Canon charger, which is the one drawback. Not a big deal, really. Since I've been using it for a few days, the original Canon charger is no longer necessary. It is significantly more compact and works more quickly!When I was out taking pictures recently, my batteries were draining much more quickly, and for a while, I truly believed that my batteries were faulty and not charging properly. After some time, I started to think that my charger (a Canon Brand product) was faulty, so I got a new battery (the LP-E10 from Canon) and this charger. I tried charging the new battery with the old charger, but it didn't work. I replaced the old charger with the new one, and it started working right away. An hour later, the battery was fully charged. Because it charges quickly and performs better than the Canon brand charger, I would highly suggest this charger! It is affordable, dependable, and efficient!To avoid going through the difficulty I did, if you're having battery problems, I recommend testing both the charger and batteries before buying a replacement.
