My spice rack was malfunctioning and kept opening by itself. Uncertain if something wasn't level. I watched a video proposing utilizing these two-sided magnets when everything appeared to be in order. worked flawlessly. No more haphazard open spice rack. The adhesive is the only thing I have to say. During installation, I had to replace it twice since they weren't adhering to the surface. Due to their strength, which is a positive thing, the second magnet maintained adhering to the other magnet and leaving only the glue. I ultimately installed two sets. The spice rack door has one on each side so that it now closes securely. It has a slight pull when you go to close the rack, which I like, and you don't really see them either, which is a bonus. They were quite effective. I had drawers that were slamming open and doors that wouldn't stay closed. Given the strength of the magnets, I tried the glue first, but it wasn't sufficient for my needs to hold the magnet in place. Instead, I used the provided screws, and they performed flawlessly. The magnets function fairly well because they are very powerful. However, it was much simpler to position the magnet and screw it in thanks to the adhesive.I'd tried magnetic tape before, and that was a failure. not nearly powerful enough to complete the task.Despite not holding for my purposes, the adhesion is still rather strong. Due to the roughness of my door, the adhesive was unable to form a tight seal. The adhesion is still strong enough to achieve that since when I tried to remove it from another area, it actually peeled the paint off!

To keep my wall mirror closed, which was hinged, I required some magnets. I added small hooks for jewelry storage to my Ikea mirror. Although the mirror was perfectly level when I put it, it would still open on its own, so I had to find a way to keep it closed when not in use. I considered using velcro to keep it closed, but I wasn't sure how well it would work and it would be noisy, so I looked for skin magnetic hardware instead. These tiny creatures are strong, let me tell you that much! sufficient to protect my toddler from escaping. The mirror appears to be firmly fastened to the wall. The mirror's hinges would be hidden from view unless someone attempted to move it. You should try to open this up right away. It nearly smashes shut, funny. Since I didn't want to create any holes to my wall or the mirror inside, I used the sticky tape method. Despite how powerful the magnets are, the adhesive tape is MEGA complete proof, and the hardware didn't fall off the wall. I'd almost think of utilizing these to kid proof drawers or cabinets. It's a bit difficult to install; it would have been much simpler if the plate had been larger than the magnet. The magnet and plate are approximately the same size, so if the installation is not precise, the magnet may not catch well.The only problem I can see is that the ferrous plate catches on two strips on the magnetic, but these strips are not level on all magnets, so they won't catch as strongly as they should. With 2 out of 6 captures, I have encountered this problem.

This was a wise purchase. When I first moved into my home, I found that the doors to the laundry room, which was more like a nook, had nothing holding them shut and were continually swinging open. My cats enjoyed it, however it was really inconvenient and they definitely got in the way. I don't know if it's poorly insulated, as a result of the dryer vent opening, or if there are simply no AC vents inside, but I don't need that heat pouring into the den and ruining my life, so I wanted to keep the fur babies out of there. I then added the additional 11. Soon later, I became aware of the metal squares' rocking motion. It has two dimples and 1 screw to fasten it to the cabinet door. The metal plates continued to rock over time even after I tightened the screw.I found a solution by removing all the metal plates I had already installed and gluing them with glue from the Goop brand and one screw. Since I accomplished this, the rocking has stopped. The metal sheets are fastened.Since then, I've added four additional 12-packs to my collection and mounted them on the top and bottom of each cabinet door.The doors securely close and close well. They require a little extra work to open, but I enjoy that. On a pair of pantry doors and a pair of linen closet doors, I changed the ball catches. Every few months, it seems as though the ball catches need to be adjusted in order for the doors to open. Since we moved here 15 years ago, my wife has been nagging me to replace them with magnetic catches.The pantry doors and linen closet doors are now easily operable after they were installed. When they become out of adjustment, it will take some getting used to being able to open them with no more force than my wife can muster. The hollow core doors are rather light in weight. They may be securely closed by the magnets. In fact, when they are about 3/4 inch away, they pull the door the rest of the way closed.One reviewer criticized the lack of instructions in the box. That's accurate. The screws that came with the magnetic catches were a source of complaints from a lot of reviewers. There were 24 screws total—8 more than was required—in the set of 4 magnetic catches. I was relieved because I repeatedly dropped screws and ultimately lost three of them. I wouldn't think about using power tools to screw them in. Even in soft woods like pine, the little screws might be challenging to install. Drilling pilot holes is required. Additionally, rubbing a little beeswax makes a huge impact. For lubricating screws and wooden drawer tracks in solid wood furniture, everyone should have some. Simple little magnetic catch with a plastic body—nothing fancy. enables the magnet to properly "float" inside the plastic body so that it can adapt to the door and striking plate. I've used ones with fixed magnets, and they are completely useless until you place them with extreme care, at which point they will start to misalign themselves. However, these appear to work just well.includes a catch, strike plate, and phillips-head screws that match. If you are careful, installation should go smoothly. If the wood is firm, you should drill pilot holes for the screws. When it comes to the strike plate pilot hole, a tiny vix-bit is fantastic. Take care with the screws. They will emerge because they are Phillips. My Bosch drill is set to the lowest clutch level, 1, and it always operates flawlessly.
