Best Butter in 2020

Chef Shamy Garlic Butter, Parmesan Basil, 10 Ounce (Pack of 2) Review:

OMG. I absolutely love this butter. I bought the Land-o-Lakes garlic butter and the Chef Shamy tastes more favorable. I put this on everything and use it to sauté meats, fish and vegetables, fry eggs, and I use it as a finishing butter. Because it's so flavorful, you don't need to use salt when you use this butter. My favorite uses are: grilled cheese sandwiches, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and most favorite melted over popcorn.

I've also tried Chef Shamy French Onion and Honey Butter. Both were just as flavorful, but I thought the Garlic Butter tasted better than the French Onion. The Honey Butter is fantastic. Another one you can eat right out of the tub. Absolutely love it on warm biscuits and rolls.
I was a little concerned that when it arrived the ice had melted and it was no longer frozen or cold. But the packaging states you can leave it out on your counter just like regular butter. I’ve gone through 2 tubs without any problems.

Anthony's Unrefined Organic Shea Butter, 1lb, African, Raw, Pure, Grade A, Ivory Review:

I love everything Anthony's makes. Seriously. I started with their nutritional yeast because it was a good price and was hooked from there. The egg white powder? Also amazing. So when I saw they did shea butter, it was a no brainer.

But it was out of stock. So I clicked that notify thing expecting nothing and a few months later, whaddya know? So of course I ordered it, and of course it was amazing.

Smooth, supple, not greasy, good texture, good aroma, high quality shea butter.

Like everything else Anthony gets right.

Raw Unrefined African Shea Butter - 8oz, 16oz, 32oz Containers by Sheanefit (Yellow 16oz/1pc) Review:

This is my second time purchasing this product & I love it. I bought this to use to make recipes for a moisturizer cream and for another to make a pain cream. The Shea butter is very nice, easy to scoop out to use, & it also melts nicely, a whips up beautifully with the other ingredients that I purchased on Amazon to create my lotions.

Red Feather Cremery Canned Butter A real butter from new Zealand-100% pure no artificial colors or flavors-Great For Hurricane Preparedness Emergency Survival Earthquake Kit-(6 Cans/12Oz. Each Can) Review:

Butter from a can you say? That is the same thing I thought when I purchased this product. However, I thought it was a great idea to have some on hand for power outages, emergencies, or whatever the occasion. We also travel to Central America, and will bring a few cans down with us as some areas we go to don't have refrigeration readily available.

The cans are fairly good sized, bigger than I thought they would be to tell the truth. I was a little hesitant about trying them at first, but decided to open one can up and put it to the taste test. Surprisingly, it is good! I was very pleased with the taste and given the long shelf life would be inclined to order more for long term food/survival storage.

The flavoring was good, buttery but not too salty for my taste like some butters can be. I don't know if I could keep it on hand for 10 years however, but as a rotating item in my long term storage it is definitely a staple.

Hoosier Hill Farm Real Butter powder, 1 lb Review:

I really like this brand of butter powder. Rainy Day Butter Powder, (to be referred to from now on as R.D.) which I purchased first, is a 3 star.
This smells like butter (R.D. has an off-putting scent).
More concentrated than R.D., I can use almost 1/2 the amount I was with R.D.
This makes the creamiest, tastiest instant mashed potatoes. Into 1 cup of Idahoan Mashed Potato Flakes, stir 2 spoonfuls each of Hoosier Hill Farm Butter Powder and Peak Dry Whole Milk Powder. Stir in salt & pepper. Finally, stir in 2 cups boiling water. You won't believe how great the mashed potatoes will be.
This makes into a tasty butter spread, which will firm up even more in the refrigerator (the R.D. wouldn't.) It reminds me of whipped butter. I use the spread on pop tarts, toast, pastry, muffins, cornbread, freshly baked bread, potatoes, rolls, cooked vegetables, stuffing, biscuits, for making cinnamon toast, grilled cheese sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, and meat (especially if I'm going to microwave it) to help keep it moist besides the great flavor...the list goes on.

The published 1:1 ratio may be misleading...If you look where that is posted, its on the recipe information. I 'believe' that ratio is for when a recipe calls for butter. So for 1 tbs. butter use: 1 tbs. butter powder + 1 tbs. water/liquid. That is not the ratio for making butter spread. I did read on another brand of butter powder to use 3 tbs. butter powder to 1 tsp. water (in layman's terms that is 9 parts measured butter powder to 1 part water). Will have to try that next time I mix some up. I normally just mix it to the consistency I want. Little looser for topping mashed potatoes, and a little thicker for spreading.

Great sprinkled on freshly popped popcorn, stopping that hot melted butter from deflating the popped kernels. Or getting greasy hands/fingers. No more having to continually wipe your hands before handling the remote control to zap through TV commercials.
One thing I have noticed, is you need to add this to the popped kernels before completely salting them. Otherwise this salted butter powder will add even more salt to your perfectly salted popcorn, and you may end up with really salty, buttery popcorn.

Truthfully, I can't believe the differences between the 2 brands. I expect the smell to be a little different between brands, no different than dairy case butter brands have different scents, but this doesn't make my stomach churn (excuse the pun). I no longer have mashed potatoes that smell disgusting.

I think this would make just about anyone happy that doesn't have access to a store (or cow, goat, etc...).

Red Feather Canned Butter A real butter from new Zealand-100% pure no artificial colors or flavors-Great For Hurricane Preparedness Emergency Survival Earthquake Kit-(12 Cans/Half Case) Review:

We bought this canned butter for long term food stocks. It seems a bit expensive, but you have to consider that it's coming from New Zealand, and it's quality butter in good, solid cans. We opened one of them to taste and test with cooking. Hands down, it tastes better than any butter we've been buying for the past several years in name-brand grocery stores. I ordered another case as soon as we sampled the butter from our first purchase. For us, it's a bit to pricey to use as an everyday butter, but the long shelf life and great taste makes it perfect for longer term food storage when you're trying to build up essential food items in case of an emergency. The Amazon price for this butter was better than the price we were seeing from other sellers. I highly recommend this butter for its taste, shelf life, great consistency and convenience. We will keep watching for price breaks so we can stock up on more.

Judee's Butter Powder 11.25 oz (1.5 lb also) 100% Real Butter, Low Carb Keto Friendly, NonGMO, rBST Hormone Free, Gluten and Nut Free Facility, USA Made, Add Fat to Coffee, Baking Ready Review:

I was a little nervous after seeing some of the reviews saying that it didn't add any buttery flavor. I added a tablespoon or two to my instant rice and instant potatoes that I used as a base for all my meals, and I was amazed at how much better they tasted.

This was such a better solution for me than bringing along a little bottle of olive oil. Virtually no mess, no issues with being left in my hot car that I could tell, and everything tasted so good!

Not something I'll use every day, but it's going to be a permanent part of my camping trips in the future.

Winona Pure Popcorn Butter, Theater Style 5 Ounce (2-Pack) | Delicious Popcorn Spray with 0 Calories per Serving, Perfect for Popcorn Lovers Review:

I love this product because it's made with canola oil. I can't digest vegetable oil (a. k. a. soybean oil) properly, and it seems everything is made with soybean oil these days. I'm glad to see that this product does not use veg oil (at least not yet). It tastes great, and for me a little goes a long way so the containers last a good while. Thanks Winona Pure!

Kevala Organic Coconut Butter, 16 Ounce Review:

Looks like mixed reviews on this item but I'm a fan - it tastes like pure coconut, it's naturally sweet and easy to use. Furthermore, it's organic, Non GMO and made in a facility without peanuts. But if you don't like the texture of coconut then it's not for you (it looks like a solid but when its blended the texture of coconut comes out). I put this in my smoothie (great substitute for nut butters). I'm sure there are other uses in cooking. No sugar added to this but anyone that loves coconut knows that a little sugar (or stevia if need be) makes the natural sweetness pop!

After I carve out a tablespoon for my smoothie I like the spoon like a kid. Yummy!
