The wife was worried about the soap bottle tipping over. Put bottle in little, outdated trash can under sink to solve this. The dispenser is excellent. One small issue: no instructions were provided. Despite being rather plain explanatory. For several minutes, I fought to get the tube onto the dispenser's male end. There was simply not enough room in the dispenser sleeve for the tube to work, even after I tried soaking it in hot water. After battling for ten to fifteen minutes, I had a lightbulb moment: why not simply feed the tube through the sleeve while pushing the dispenser out from the top? (duh) As soon as I accomplished this, the assembly came together in within 5–10 seconds. While I felt stupid for not figuring this out sooner, instructions or a photo of this would have been useful (not counting screwing in the dispenser to the granite).

When I came across this item, I was about to acquire the entire soap pump dispenser setup, complete with beautiful knob, etc. I was a little concerned that this wouldn't work because I have no idea what brand my faucet or pump is because I can't recall and couldn't see any markings. I found what I was seeking for in this product. The matte black Kräus dispenser I had initially bought would drip for roughly 5 to 10 seconds each time the pump was squeezed. The Kräus' design causes the pump return to be slow, which causes it to spill soap until it has finished returning. It would have helped if I could have changed their spring for a stronger one, but it's a sealed spring system.Since I don't know Kimi Cuisine as a brand, I was hesitant to purchase this one. It resembles the Kräus model identically, though, and is matte black. The Kimi Cuisine model just differs from the other one in that it performs as planned. It's a reliable pump that rapidly stands back up. As a result, soap does not drip off it. I didn't want to keep using the other one and wasting soap, nor did I want to keep holding the sponge for 10 seconds under the pump. That quickly becomes boring.I would advise anyone seeking for a dispenser to buy this device. Whatever finish is required—matt black, stainless—is used. Since the brass nut and stainless steel threaded shaft on the dispenser are of high quality, they shouldn't rust. The pump has a large soap reservoir and disperses soap effectively, but only time will tell how long it will last. The size of the mounting hole in my sink was the only issue I ran into when installing the dispenser. The hole has a 1.5" diameter, which is somewhat less than the mounting seals made of rubber. The seal above the sink would drop through the hole when I tightened the nut section. I tried situating the seal multiple times but couldn't get it to stay in place. In the end, I mounted it without the top seal but kept the bottom seal in place.

Update: Once I got past my initial expectations, I realized how well the pump worked to dispense the soap. The instructions are what I hate most about this. It isn't until you start using it that you realize how nicely it works. To determine what accomplishes what, you must experiment. After some fumbling, you eventually discover that the one component that doesn't appear to go anyplace, actually goes on the end of the tube in your soap supply bottle. The stop valve's arrow does point in the direction of the desired soap flow (I expected it to, but I don't want to guess).I believe the best solution would be for someone to work on the instructions for twenty minutes before posting them.Besides that, does a good job.after installing a new one, update (at my daughters). You might need to get a replacement pump. Mine started up working perfectly. It wouldn't pump the soap when I tried to install one at my daughter's house (she was two years older than I was). I went to get a replacement pump after much angst and fumbling. Everything is functioning flawlessly. It turned out that they had been experiencing issues for more than six months, thus the new pump significantly improved matters. :-)

I purchased this to replace a Moen® faucet that broke. They are shaped differently on the inside, so I altered the entire thing even though I initially believed I could only change the top (pump) component. I am comparing it to my Moen®, a pricey brand that I am accustomed to using because it is all I have ever known.The metal pump on the Moen® is thicker and heavier.The plastic portion to which the bottle is attached appears to be made of the same substance and have the same thickness. (Visually)Despite having varied threading, the bottles appear to be the same from a visual perspective.The Moen® features thin rubber-like washers that break down with time and/or with chemical use, whereas this one has thicker washers that resemble plastic (they too may disintegrate but only time will tell).The Moen® barely fits in the sink, so I prefer this one's somewhat longer spout.This one is much less expensive. (And for me, the main distinction is that this one actually functions.)Ignore the walls and sink area in the film because we are reconstructing, but it is still worth viewing because it demonstrates some of these issues and how simple installing something is.
