excellent brochure paper. The 48 Lb / 9.8 mil thickness is good. It passes through an inkjet printer without any problems, although it is hefty enough to handle more like card stock than like paper. This brochure paper is intended to replace a very nice 8 mil brochure stock made by Staples. Because there is no paper roll in front of the print head in my Epson printer, the route is clear and there were no jams. The Epson container states that it "works with all ink jet printers," and I could find no reason to disagree with it.The Epson paper has a very tiny warm tone to it, making it less bright-white than the Staples paper it replaces. This is the most noticeable difference. This might be undetectable without a side-by-side comparison because it is so modest. I used a magnifier to examine the Epson and Staples sheets, printing the same drawing on both the front and back sides (including 14 point cyan line widths), and noticed no differences in the line width or edge linearity, i.e. no blotting. On the Epson paper, the color saturation and contrast (especially the blacks) are much higher. Is this due to a tougher surface (?) or an optical illusion caused by the surface tone? Since pencil marks are less wide and dark, the surface is probably tougher.Even though the Epson paper is over 2 mil heavier, both papers appeared to be equally translucent when held up to window light. The opposite-side print appeared equally (and not objectionably) through both. The Epson paper is actually "double sided" as claimed; my designs were printed in equally high quality on both sides of the brochure.A HALF star would have been a more accurate assessment, and that only for the paper's very slightly "warm" tone. Maybe that should have been retracted due to the paper's stronger color saturation and deeper blacks, but in any event, I will repurchase and suggest this paper.

I use paper a little differently. I make CDs for musicians that I record... I use this paper for the front and back covers, as well as the CD liners.When I make a CD double page spread, the paper folds beautifully, holding a crisp crease, and I can relatively easily cut the paper to fit in the jewel box.The edges are not as crisp and sharp as I would like, but my paper cutter is probably the blame rather than the paper.I print using either a Canon iP7220 or an Epson XP-960, and both printers display colors on the paper virtually precisely the same.The only thing is that neither of my printers will print a grayscale that is completely neutral; they always pick up some red, sometimes more overtly objectionable than others.BUT...this is a high-quality paper for brochures, calendars, good photo reproduction, and, of course, CD art.

I needed some paper that was a little nicer than plain printer paper because we have a color LED printer (which functions like a laser). The majority of this type of paper is specifically designed for inkjet printers. With this paper, it still produces pretty excellent images that I believe would work well for most people, though if I were simply seeking to print photos, I would use an inkjet. This is a good match. Overall, the LED printer performs fairly well, however occasionally there will be a small smear, necessitating a new print of a photo or picture.

I frequently print at home rather than going to the print shop because, as a small business owner, I am always changing the content and presentation of my promotional materials. On two distinct Brother MFC inkjet printers, I produce brochures using the Normal and High Quality settings, original and refilled/generic ink cartridges, and occasionally duplex (ie. automatic double-sided printing). The brochures always turn out clear and sharp. Although some reviewers have mentioned that the brochures are destroyed when folded, I have not personally encountered this. The brochures are simple to fold and keep their structural integrity every time I do it. Although printing these brochures in large quantities would be prohibitively expensive, individuals who print in smaller amounts or frequently change the content of the brochures would find them to be an important resource.
