My old aluminum 5-quart non-stick frying pan is being replaced by this pricey pot. This cast iron beauty can be used for everything I accomplished in that old rag (and more)! Expensive? Yes. But generally speaking, you get what you pay for. I have no remorse at all about purchasing this braiser. In comparison to my old frying pan, it is far superior. It cooks uniformly. With its 5 quart size, you can cook for a small or large group. It can be used to cook rice, prepare soup, brown, sear, roast, and braise. Additionally, because to its sturdy design and cover, it keeps meals hotter for longer.Heavy? Yes. yet not insurmountable for a female of average strength. Storage is an issue for me because of its size. I want it close at hand but out of the way. I keep it on top of the refrigerator, while my 5-quart Dutch oven, which is also a Le Creuset, is kept on the stove. It works.Cleaning up is simple; occasionally a quick soak is required, but it always comes out clean. Another benefit is that it doesn't need any further maintenance, such as seasoning or quick drying. Although I always hand-wash cooking pots, it is dishwasher safe. Why wash by hand? two factors 1. Large objects occupy too much room in the dishwasher and may obstruct the water spray that is necessary for thorough cleaning. 2. The damage the dishwasher detergent can cause to some surfaces bothers me. Aluminum and other materials may be harmed. I simply don't want to risk damaging my Le Creuset cookware.Beauty. This pot may easily be transported from the kitchen to the table, patio, or fire pit area, much like the rest of the Le Creuset cookware collection. It is solid and heavy, as was already noted; meals will keep hot longer under its substantial top. It is ideal for bringing hot food to a potluck or dinner party.For my family, buying this braiser is a wise investment. To anyone looking for a pot like this, I sincerely recommend it.

The braiser itself gets a perfect score, but I have problems with the specific model I own. The stock that was supplied to me has some rust spots along the rim and several scrapes on the outside of the lid. I'm assuming that the scratches are the result of the lid's coming into contact with the braiser's quite-rough rim when it was packed upside down. A piece of cardboard ought to have been placed between the two. Those flaws are plain disappointing at $299. Of course, I would return the item, but because I had already sent it to my nation, doing so would be very expensive for me (Le Creuset is not sold here at all).

To replace my previous cookware set, I bought this one. This set of stainless steel cookware has eight pieces. There are 3 lids, 1 pan, and 4 pots of various sizes. Additionally, each lid features a steam release. First of all, I had a great time using this set of cookware. I have not experienced any sticking issues, and it cleans up nicely. You can easily clean them after cooking. You shouldn't be concerned about anything getting stuck on them. Additionally, this cookware set is well-made; you can sense its weight when you touch it. The handles are also excellent and made of a sturdy metal. Additionally, some customers claim to not truly understand how to use the stainless steel cookware set and have troubles with it. I won't go into too much detail since if you really care about your cookware set, you can find out how to use it properly by searching online. I am satisfied with my purchase and will tell my buddy about it.

I should mention how much I adore iron cast enameled pots and pans. They are safe for your health because they don't have any harmful coatings. This particular quality is outstanding. Several facts 1. Because it is SO heavy, using it or washing it is not that simple. 2. You must wash and dry it straight away after usage because if you don't the iron rim will rust. 3. Because it's so enormous, this specific one is great for family meals; but, if you only need to cook for one or two people, pick something smaller. 4. As you may imagine, it gets very hot, so avoid touching it with your naked hands. 5. Cast iron cookware warms up more slowly than thin pots and pans, but it maintains temperature better and cooks food to perfection. All you have to do is get used to it.That's pretty much it.The rims of this new pan were rusted since I am a really lazy person and am one of those people that let dirty dishes sit in the sink for an extended period of time. I therefore had to put in a lot of effort to clean things up. My recommendation is to clean it straight away, hehe!

I have Le Creuset cast-iron cookware that is entirely enameled, cast-iron with enameled exteriors, and fully enameled cast-iron cookware. On any type of cooking surface, cast-iron has the best heat conductivity in my opinion, but Le Creuset can get very expensive for larger pots, so when I bought my first braiser, I went with a different brand.It was a Lodge 3 quart size, but my son (the family dishwasher) destroyed it by repeatedly placing metal utensils in the bottom of it to "soak," which caused the exposed cast-iron edges to rust over time on top of the enameled surface becoming chipped. It was a good braiser, but whenever I used it to cook some things, I always wanted it was bigger.I spent a lot of time looking for a replacement and finally settled on this one. When I prepared our lamb roast for Thanksgiving, it didn't let me down after it arrived quite soon. It is quite sturdy and nicely made. It was the ideal depth and width (given its 5 quart size). The handle's steel/metal finish, rather from being black, isn't something I especially like, but it is workable. It cooks meals just as well and costs a fraction of what a Le Creuset braiser does. I adore that the interior has a lighter finish and that the enamel was flawless when it was delivered.In other reviews I've read regarding enameled cast-iron braisers, people have complained about how heavy they are.Well, the larger the pan, the heavier it is since it is cast iron. So this pan is not for you if you cannot handle a heavy pot or want a light one.I anticipate this one lasting a lot longer than its previous now that my son is older and has grown to appreciate things. I also don't find myself wishing it were slightly bigger when I'm cooking.

I used to take out the large Le Creuset Dutch oven and cook in the bottom quarter of it before I bought this beauty. Now that I have it, it usually turns out to be the right pan. Because of the conflicting reviews, I was apprehensive to acquire this product, but I believe it to be fantastic. This removed all of the scorched enamel from my numerous Le Creuset pots and pans with just a little elbow grease and a microfiber cloth. I adore this pan to the fullest. I bought a flat top stove to replace my 20 year old coil stove, paying a bit more for the 12" burner because I knew I would use it frequently. I use ordinary or enameled cast iron for almost all of my cooking, and at first I was considering a large enameled cast iron skillet, but this was less expensive and would have greater non-stick properties. I'm so happy I picked this one! I adore it utterly. I can prepare several burgers, numerous sausage patties, numerous scrambled eggs, and chicken breasts that I've hammered flat. It looks good, cleans up like a dream, and is superbly non-stick.
