I ADORE THIS THING! My 1995 Honda Del Sol needs a bespoke paint job, so of course I want to make sure that everything else about the car is almost flawless. If you know anything about Del Sols, you are aware that both the targa top and the trunk frequently leak. The drain holes had been filled with silt, and the seals surrounding the clip attachment points had dried out, causing leaks into the trunk, as is customary, when I removed the covers from the "sails" off the car below the targa top. I sealed everything with Strip Calk around each attachment point, then I cleaned the drain. Issue is resolved.In order to get the weatherstrip to press against the roof panel better, I also removed the targa top and placed a piece of rope into the weatherstrip channel. I then used Strip Calk to seal the rope in place. No interior leaks any longer.I also made the error of ripping a tab off a plastic trim piece that inserted into another trim piece. Both fixing and purchasing the tab are impossible (given the age of the car). No issue. To hide the fix, I applied a tiny bit of Strip-Calk around the trim's edge, pressed it in place, and then removed the excess. Perfect! It is simple to remove the piece once more, but it won't come apart, and I can always use the Strip Calk method again.It's important to use strip caulk carefully because it won't stop sticking, but it works well for patching up cracks in weatherstripping that is 23 years old and impossible to find. (So long as you can apply it to a surface of the weatherstripping that is concealed. You CAN use this material to reconnect weatherstripping to its metal attachment points or to seal some breaches in weatherstripping, but you CANNOT use it in place of weatherstripping where it might touch a door, for example.There are several instances where Strip Calk resolves an issue that I was unable to resolve on my own. Example: The screw in the Del Sol door panel is deeply recessed, making it simple for the screw to fall from the screwdriver and land at the bottom of the door. This isn't much of an issue if you're taking the door panel off, but it becomes a major hassle if you've just spent a half-hour aligning plastic pins and getting them in place and you accidentally lose a screw during the final phase of reassembly. However, a tiny dab of Strip Calk assures that the screw will stay in the door panel hole and not anyplace else by being placed between the end of your Phillips head screwdriver and the screw head. Compared to a magnetized screwdriver, it operates more consistently.Many people appear to be upset because the strips either stick together or stick to the paper, although this is actually a small problem. Sure, you might get two strips when you only needed one, or you might break a strip as you peel it off. But keep in mind that this is merely a piece of caulk that you can shape anyway you choose.Additionally, I've discovered that if you moisten your fingers before handling it, it won't adhere to them and you may handle it as you choose. There are no problems because the caulk becomes sticky once the water has dried. I keep a spray bottle of tap water next to my box of Strip-Calk at all times.Get this material if you work on older cars to spare yourself a lot of heartache.

Bodywork can be made exceedingly flat by using long blocks and coarse grit paper.I'm aware that some body shop employees use more paper than I do and perhaps have a brand preference. Sincerely, this is the first time I have ever used adhesive roll paper.
