I use bentonite clay twice a week for a mask mixed with raw apple cider vinegar, honey, and activated charcoal. Man, how can those women in the Caribbean have such nice skin, I wondered the other day. After doing some study, it appears that cocoa butter is a necessity. My brother and Polynesians both cover themselves in coconut oil. Africa also naturally offered us the lauded Shea Butter. All three of these moisturizers are present in Nivea Cocoa Butter Cream, however they are listed well under the top two components, mineral oil and water.Since I've visited the Caribbean the most, I made the decision to remain with Cocoa Butter. I've visited Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic (when a coup was setting the Haitian Presidential Palace on fire), the Bahamas, and my favorite, Aruba.I chose this large jar of Nivea cocoa butter in part due to the brand recognition and in part due to the cost. It's a lovely product that is creamy and white. As a result, it does not smell like chocolate, as should be emphasized.It's time to start caring about my skin because I'm aging. Hopefully there's still time...p.s. Kudos to Nivea for having a top-notch Men's line of goods, in especially their body wash and shaving cream.

OMG. I was in excruciating agony and itching due to a severe psoriasis flare. Salicylic acid aids psoriasis, according to what I read. I chose to try Skin Food with the idea of using it on my face after reading thousands of positive reviews in the beauty world about it being a LaMer dupe. I really appreciate this product overall, but the following are things I wish I had known before purchasing it:- It has a consistency that is quite thick, like cream cheese. I wish I were joking, but this is the way it is. At first, I thought perhaps the formula was cold or damaged. It must be warmed up in your hands before use!- It smells very strongly. Personally, I didn't like the smell because it was really herbal and natural due to the oils utilized, which included calendula, rosemary, and sweet almond oil. This might not be for those who like lighter scents. My skin appears quite greasy because to the cream cheese recipe. I had anticipated it would go into my skin easily, but instead I get glittery residue all over. No matter how much you warm it up, dab it on, or wipe it off, nothing seems to work. This won't appear well beneath your makeup. Using a dab as a highlighter on the cheekbones? Yes. using it as a moisturizing primer before applying makeup? You'll resemble a snowman that is melting.The ultimate decision? Despite what I just said, this works really well as a nighttime moisturizer. When you put additional serums underneath, it locks them in, and my face appears bouncy and radiant when I wake up in the morning. It's all-natural, free of preservatives like mineral oil, and reasonably priced. Will repurchase!

The best thing I have used for my 3-year-old son's skin thus far has been atopic dermatitis (eczema), which he has had since he was 6 months old. As a dermatologist, I have access to a wide variety of over-the-counter and prescription eczema products. This product has so far proven to be more effective and faster-acting than Aquaphor ointment, vaseline ointment, vanicare cream and lotion, Aveeno (a number of their eczema-related moisturizers), Cetaphil (even the Restoraderm line), and, as much as I hate to say it about my favorite product, CeraVe lotion and cream. Without any steroid, it acts as soon as a topical steroid of moderate potency. Additionally, it naturally possesses emollient qualities that are superior than those of generic topical steroids. Since I've only been using it on my son for two days, I'll have to wait to see if the effects are long-lasting, but I've already seen a noticeable improvement in the texture of his skin. As an alternative to a topical steroid, I will now suggest this to my eczema patients.

This moisturizer contains 12% glycolic acid and has a pH of 3.5. In other words, unless glycolic acid irritates your skin, it will exfoliate without tearing up your skin. It's been almost a month since I've used it, and it works. Because of the substantial amount of petroleum and lanolin-based emollients, I find that it works best for me on my feet, legs, and arms. Additionally, it contains urea, which facilitates product absorption by the skin. However, there is not enough urea to prevent this from having a slightly oily feeling. It also lacks anti-oxidants, anti-irritants, peptides, ceramides, niacinamides, and other beneficial ingredients for skin care. Therefore, in my opinion, it is not a comprehensive skin care product. It excels at what it does. But do yourself a favor and alternate it with Gold Bond Men's Essentials Intensive Therapy Lotion or Olay Quench Body Lotion Ultra Moisture with Shea Butter and Vitamins E and B3. If it says it's for men, don't worry; they merely placed it in a dark bottle to make it look more macho.

However, if taken as instructed, it will significantly alter the firmness and softness of the skin around your neck and chest. This product has a great price and is really effective, thus I heartily suggest it.
