They also consume far less power, so they will not drain your battery as quickly. LED lights are also much more durable than traditional bulbs, so they will last much longer.
Yes, LED trailer lights can be submerged in water. They are designed to be waterproof and can withstand being submerged for short periods of time. However, if you plan on submerging them for extended periods of time, it is best to consult the manufacturer to see if they have any specific recommendations.
Yes, boat trailer lights need to be waterproof. This is because they are exposed to the elements and need to be able to withstand getting wet.

extremely simple to install Two wires: one black, one red. It's doable by anyone. Make sure you are aware of which set is which colour. Instead of making a mistake, I used a DeWalt battery to confirm the hue of the LEDs. They perform their duties flawlessly other from it. They look nice on my enclosed trailer because of the vivid colours and the smoked clear plastic.

After a few early morning expeditions, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the light kits. Initially, I purchased the guide rod system for my trailer without the lights, and it worked nicely, especially after applying some reflective tape on top. They are excellent—bright, simple to see, and simple to install. It makes towing your boat much simpler and is well worth the money.

These I put on the boat trailer. I require a brand-new light after discovering that the brake light's incandescent bulbs are enclosed and cannot be changed. So I made the decision to switch to LEDs and saw that I could obtain a pair for $10 extra. Although the mounting instructions were no longer necessary, the wiring instructions were straightforward. I discovered it while observing the outdated lighting. It is simpler to mount the lights to the trailer by first mounting the bolts on the lights in accordance with the trailer's hole pattern. An optional mounting plate is mentioned in the instructions. Fortunately, my trailer's plates had predrilled holes since I would have been really annoyed if I hadn't known I needed an additional component. Due to the rusty bolts on the old lights that I had to remove off the trailer in order to install the new lights, installing the first light took me around 30 to 40 minutes. But following the learning curve, it took me around ten minutes to reach the second light. They also demonstrated water resistance. Driving is such a pleasant feeling now that I know all of my lights are working!

Great lights, but bear in mind that most lights on boat trailers should be sealed with 5200 because they will be underwater. After a few uses, the left side filled with water. I purchased another and sealed it on my own. Additionally, I seal all of my aftermarket lights, including the headlights on my Spyder. This seems to work because I have never had a sealed light develop any moisture inside of it.

I'm giving this one a try because I grew tired of having to replace the Optronics trailer lights I'd been using every year or two when they died. Before placing the bulb compartment on my trailer, I disassembled it. With an O-ring and improved screw holes and screws, it is better sealed than the Optronics lights. Before reassembling, I applied some Corrosion X HD to any exposed metal in the bulb section just in case.I made two alterations, which I urge anyone installing this or any other trailer light to do as well:1. I installed a waterproof heat-shrink terminal with hot-melt glue inside to replace the non-waterproof ring terminal on the ground wire.2. I changed the scratchy star-shaped lock washers that were already there for standard stainless split lock washers. (With the other variety, I've had it seize to the point where I had to pound and shatter the plastic to get the light out.)As with any boat trailer light, use watertight heat-shrink-and-hot-glue butt crimp connections to attach the light to your trailer's wiring, especially if you plan to submerge it in salt water. If there are any problems, I'll update this review (or hopefully if none).[Update - August 2013 - Continues to be successful. The Optronics bulb enclosure had leaked (again) and the bulbs had become corroded, so I just ordered one for the other side. I am eager to consume one of these.]

The strange, thick rubber "gasket" that comes with it is shown in these pictures. Simply throw it in the garbage because it isn't attached in any way. It's not useful. If you don't already have a hole in the mounting surface, you'll need to drill one in order to flush mount this. The included screws are appropriately 1.25" long and have a rather modest diameter. If necessary, you can get various stainless steel ones. (I am not yet sure if these are stainless) Apply a small amount of silicone around the wire and screw holes. I haven't yet powered it on, but I'd strongly advise you to before mounting, just in case. Sometimes it does, and generally it happens to me. My Sea Ray is now being converted to 100% LED, so only time will tell. Just so you know, this lamp has a plastic housing. Not bad for the price if it works.

Why I've never purchased one of these before is beyond me. Most likely, I was unaware of their existence until I purchased my new dart board. SUPER EASY to hang on the wall. Once you have the distance calculated, you just match the light to it because the light rotates in every direction.I used to mark the garage floor with tape or spray paint, but no longer. And that makes my wife very happy:) It doesn't appear on my garage floor during the daytime while my door is open, so expecting it to do so is absurd. shuts the door and arrives perfectly fine. When the darts are placed on the wall, you will see the panel where the batteries go and the on/off switch, so all you have to do to play or store your darts is flip the switch. I'm fairly certain I'll never need to change the batteries.

Outstanding value for the money. I bought these to replace the original LED brake lights that were on my boat trailer when they failed. The hardware is included, and installation was simple. LEDs have no problems being immersed and are bright. I was afraid that water would get stuck inside, but this hasn't happened. To prevent the bolt and nut from backing out, I do suggest adding loc-tite. Customer support was excellent in responding to a question I had and checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly.
Boat trailers are typically equipped with the same type of tail lights as other trailers. However, there are some boat trailers that are equipped with special tail lights. These special tail lights are typically used for boats that are towed behind a vehicle that is not equipped with a trailer hitch.
Yes, LED trailer lights need special wiring. The reason for this is because LED trailer lights are very sensitive to voltage fluctuations. If you were to wire them up using regular wire, the voltage fluctuations would cause the LED lights to flicker or not work at all. Special wiring for LED trailer lights helps to ensure that the lights will work properly and stay lit even when the trailer is being towed behind a vehicle.
Most trailers under 80" wide are not required to have tail lights. However, it is always a good idea to have them, even if they are not required. Tail lights make your trailer more visible to other drivers, and they can help prevent accidents.
If you're looking to wire LED boat trailer lights, there are a few things you'll need to keep in mind. First, you'll need to make sure that the lights are rated for marine use. Secondly, you'll need to use the proper gauge wire to ensure that the lights have enough power to function properly. Finally, you'll need to make sure that the lights are properly sealed to protect against moisture and corrosion.
If you're putting your boat trailer in the water, you should unplug the trailer lights beforehand. submerging the trailer lights could cause a short circuit, which could damage the lights or even start a fire. So it's always best to play it safe and unplug the lights before putting your boat in the water.
