GoLight RadioRay Portable Searchlight with Magnetic Shoe, White Review:

I'm aware that this is more pricey than some. Save yourself the trouble of trying to figure out why after all. At 400 yards, I was getting clear lighting from a good steady spot light.I was able to see a reasonably decent image quite a ways away when I combined it with my binoculars. The panning action is excellent, and the magnet holds firmly. I went through four different models before finally giving in and purchasing this; I wish I had just begun with it.

Exzeit Waterproof Led Boat Lights, 2 pc 72W 100% Waterproof Test Deck/Dock Marine Lights 4000LMS 120°Flood Light, 6.3inch, 12/24 V Led Light Bar Review:

I purchased the inexpensive $20/pair LED spreader lights because I've been there and done that. Sure, they seem identical and may even be as bright as this set for only $ 18 more, but I witnessed one of my previous pairs of $20/pr. lights burn out in front of me as a result of rain leaking inside! Before making a purchase, thoroughly review the photographs. Where the cable enters the housing on THIS set, it is obvious that a beautiful, thick rubber grommet is being used, making it IP68 WATERPROOF! Those cheapies lack grommets, do they? Not to be trusted! As they say in the world of capitalism, "Buyer Beware!" They falsify and exaggerate their ratings, as if "waterproof" and "water resistant" were the same thing. ...KNOW the key details of the thing you're purchasing! These are not only truly waterproof but also 3 or 4 times brighter than my last set.I've attached images of a new light and an old light (right)...A HUGE improvement (I, of course, replaced the previous one after that.)The PRE-TINNED 16 gauge wire in these is a GREAT improvement over the awful, dirty quality 18 or maybe 20 gage wire in my old lights. If you don't scrape the copper oxide off with an Exacto or other blade until it's beautiful and bright copper, solder will just ball up and not even stick! Do yourself a favor and crimp AND solder in a marine environment before using marine-grade shrink tubing; you won't have to do this again. The U-shape mounting bracket is NOT stainless; it is painted/powder-coated, likely steel. Only the allen screws, nuts, and washers are made of stainless steel. Ironically, the U-bracket from my prior lights was made entirely of stainless steel. Unfortunately, these new lights wouldn't fit my previous stainless brackets. However, the powder coating seemed sufficient, so I doubt I'll see the new brackets rusting in my lifetime. I didn't like the allen screws either because they were a little more difficult to access and tighten than a regular hex bolt, so I added some Loctite to the threads as I put everything together so I wouldn't have to climb my sailboat mast to tighten loosened allen screws!Do yourself a favor and purchase these once, better.(Alternatively, squirt some 3M 4000 or 5200 polyurethane marine sealant into the wire hole on those cheapies and cross your fingers!

WFPOWER Marine LED Lights 2 Pack, Boat Spotlights Waterproof, T-top Deck Dock Flood Light Bar, Work Light for Boat Accessories Pontoon Fishing Truck SUV Off-Road 12V White Review:

I opted to replace both of my incandescent spreaders with contemporary LEDs when one of them burned out. I was on the verge of purchasing two $99 models when I saw these two for $26. WHAT? If they're junk, just mail them back, I reasoned.I couldn't see how the $99 ones (EACH!) could be any better than my new $13 ones, which are exactly what I was looking for. Don't you just adore it when things work out? Additionally, they produce significantly more light than the OEM lights that came with my boat. Try it out!

Acelane Solar Lantern Inflatable Camping Solar Light Collapsible Emergency Light Waterproof Outdoor Travel Backpacking, Boating, Marine, Kayaking, Patio, Party, Night Light Review:

I put this light on the low or "semi-bright" setting and timed it to see how long it lasted. After 8 hours, it was still operating normally, but by 11 hours, it had significantly dimmed and by 12 hours, it was all but dead. This light was just marginally less bright than the MPowerd or Idealife lights I was evaluating at the same time. If I were using them for camping or if I truly needed to see the task at hand (i.e. place them around the perimeter of a small space, perhaps 6' x 6' or so), I would definitely use 3 to 4 lights at once. They don't have the same brightness as a standard battery-powered camping light. These will be used by me during power outages and for kayaking after dark (hurricanes, etc.). In comparison to battery-operated lanterns, these lights have a significant advantage due to their solar power, waterproof nature, and tiny size.

attwood LED Multi-Function Sport Light 14187XFS-7 - Realtree Max-4 Camouflage Review:

Unbeatable value; outstanding quality.Even with these batteries, it still lasts a while and produces excellent light, albeit I wish it used better ones. Its quality and mounting choices are AMAZING. I chose this light rather than spending $300–400 on the ones for my boat, and I'm retaining it instead of spending $400. The mounting choices that this device has far outweigh those of the $300–400 lights!Amazing, especially when you take the cost into account. Purchase it; you won't be sorry.

jiawill 316L Stainless Steel Underwater 1/2" NPT 9 to 30V 27w Boat Drain Plug Light with Internal Driver and Overheat Protection 3 Years Warranty Review:

I use this light as an underwater pool light, but I'm sure it would also function well as a replacement boat drain plug. It is really bright, well-built, and substantial.Update: It took me some time to realize that the problem wasn't with my battery or connections after the light started to decrease. I never overheated the light because I only briefly drove it out of the water to test it, but I'm convinced the driver is defective. Light would flash brightly before dimming. It would get bright again for a few minutes if I shut off the power for a few seconds before turning it back on. Despite the fact that I had passed the return window, Amazon took care of my return. I really enjoy the light, so hopefully I simply received a faulty one, so I'm buying another one.

LEANINGTECH White Spreader LED Deck/Marine Lights (Set of 2) for Boat (Flood Light) 12V 18W Review:

They were at first quite nice and brilliant. A marine-grade light, though, should survive longer than a year. On our yacht, these didn't even last a year. They burn out and develop condensation. If you need to update your marine lights once a year, it makes sense to get a more expensive model. I do not advise.REVISED: MAY 5, 2018. Despite the fact that my initial rating of 1/5 accurately describes our experience. Our experience with the seller has been fantastic with the first set of lights. The seller gave us an apology email right away and a free replacement set of lights for the problems we had with the lights. They emailed us three times to make sure we received the lights and to see if we were having any issues. Given that this was our first time using this particular kind of light, my husband put silicone around the edge of the lens to keep moisture out. Now that they have been up for a week, they are once again nicely lit. I'll provide another update when we've had them up for a bit to see whether the silicone has any effect. The superb customer service astounds me. In the era of social media, that is difficult to find.
