Not enough darkness will appear. It was simple to prepare the right amount of epoxy (12.3 fl oz) using the slow hardner to level the area under a toilet after purchasing the two part epoxy with pumps. It had good flow and created a level surface based on reflections from the surface (almost no distortion). I used malleable putty to build a dam to stop the flow of material to the targeted region. It firm up in the advised 6 hours enough to allow trimming with a sharp knife to eliminate the minuscus at the margins. When I called the supplier with a question, the man who answered the phone was familiar with his product and how it would apply to my situation.At first, I was worried about how I would be able to blend the right quantity without creating a lot of waste. I quickly measured the enormous pump and determined its volume, realizing it would take several full pumps to get the desired amount. To decide when I had enough, I just utilized the fl oz scale printed on the mixing cup. I still have enough to combine a little bit more than a pint for upcoming uses.

amazing paint It was applied to the hull of an aged fiberglass fishing boat that I had. Due to the fact that it is only rated for "above the water level," I was a little hesitant to use it for the hull. After doing extensive research on boating forums and manufacturer websites, I discovered that the "below the waterline" rating assumes the boat is kept on the water. like bigger boats that spend year after year, month after month, in saline water at the pier. The "topside" paint works wonderfully if you trailer your boat and just submerge it in the water while you are using it. Although this paint isn't quite as excellent as a conventional gel coat, I thought it made sense given the pricing. It would have cost me about as much to refinish the hull in a gel coat as I did to purchase the boat. Rolls easily. Do your homework and be prepared. Prior owners had used latex paint, so I sanded the old paint as much as I could in a fair length of time. What a disaster! After sanding, I cleaned the entire piece with mineral spirits. I began with a prime coat made by the same business. Between each application, I wiped with mineral spirits and sanded, and it came out beautifully. I almost always receive inquiries and praises when I visit the lake. There are certainly flaws, but you have to get very close to the object to even see them. If you look closely at the images, you can see that the finish starts to pick up reflections as the coatings are built up. I'll attempt waxing it at some point this summer. I'm thrilled with the way this paint turned out. Just beware—this thing stinks quite bad! Even outside, I would advise using a respirator of some kind. I started feeling lightheaded from the blue paint while I was rolling it on outside in a strong breeze. The color coats seem to smell worse than the primer and the white for some reason.

I chose Total Boat's Epoxy as my first choice after seeing a video by The Wood Whisperer praising the product.The product mixes easily. simple measurements Product and acetone combined for improved absorption. Lay down 3 coats for the top and 2 coats for the bottom, sanding with 220 grit between coats. Excellent results were obtained, and the solution effectively closed small to medium openings.Just to try it out, I bought the quart option, and it was definitely worth it. Although the gallon option is more expensive, it is necessary for larger projects and is well priced. You end up using the hardener more quickly than the epoxy when the ratio is 2:1.Will repurchase! I recently applied the paint, and I must say that I was extremely happy with how it covered and smoothed out. The thinner that was suggested was added, which is probably why the paint flowed as well as it did. I used a 4" foam roller to apply this paint, then a bristle brush to tip it. However, I did discover that you must only work a small area (12" x 18") at once, or the paint will get too dry for the brush to be used. Nearly no overlap lines remain after using the brush from the dry edge to the wet edge. After I am convinced that the first layer has sufficiently dried, I'll probably apply a second. A 12' fiberglass boat's bottom was being painted, but it won't stay in the water unless it's being utilized. It will live out the remainder of its days on the trailer. Without any issues, one quart will be enough to apply two coats, with some remaining for any small touch-ups that might be required. I'm interested in seeing how neatly I can get the seam between the two colors as the top of the boat will be painted Largo Blue. If required, I'll just paint a black line across the entire intersection, and I'll be done.

On Craiglist, I paid $150 for a teak table and chair set that had been sitting in the seller's backyard for years. Though it had a terrible appearance, it was made of sturdy, high-quality teak. I didn't have high hopes when I got this Star Brite Teak Care Kit because I knew I would have to sand all of the pieces down, but I though it could be worth a try first. I cleaned it twice and then used the Brightner because the improvement after using the Cleaner was quite good and much better than I had anticipated. The table and chairs then seemed to be brand-new, unfinished teak, which was precisely what I wanted! I did sand it for less than 30 minutes to clean it all up and smooth it out.I got the Star Brite Teak sealer instead of the Teak Oil because it seemed to last longer after reading reviews, therefore I decided against using the Teak Oil. After a few months, I am quite pleased with the outcomes.

The paint job is fantastic! I used a devilbiss 1.3 gravity feed paint gun to spray mine on. Since my old boat had factory paint on it that was 50 years old, I also had it sandblasted. Prior to painting, my surface felt like 100-grit sandpaper, and the first layer quickly dried but appeared patchy. At this point, I was a little concerned, but the second coat looked a lot better, and I had enough paint to paint the boat's top half a third time. It cleans up easily with soap and water and dries quite quickly. I did not sand before the last coat as instructed and instead sprayed each coat around 1.5 hours apart. I also thinned the final application with water as instructed on the can. It also states that denatured alcohol can be used to etch aluminum, but because my aluminum had just been water/sand blasted, I omitted that step as well. Instead, I pressure cleaned the boat the previous evening and left it in my heated garage overnight with the heat set to about 60 degrees. For optimal effects, the can advises painting at a 70-degree angle. Additionally, I believe you are meant to give it a week to cure before using the boat in the water. The outcomes were so fantastic that I spent $6 on an authentic Lone Star sticker kit from eBay, and the boat now appears to be brand new. I only painted the exterior of a 14-foot yacht, using all two quarts of paint. It would be money well spent if it lasts for a long time. I spent $200 on the entire project, of which $100 was for blasting and the remaining $100 was spent on tape, paint, and plastic to create a temporary paint booth.
