I just received my seats, and I couldn't be happier.I felt that the Amazon description was a little incomplete, so I decided to try to fill in some of the blanks before making a purchase. Here is my initial assessment.1. The actual seats differ from the pictures. (approximate but not accurate) My first image is of how the seller describes them, and my second image shows how they are currently created. Be aware that there have been various design modifications throughout time.2. The seat is really well constructed. Seat can support 400 lbs. Even while most people might not think about it, picture what it would be like to crash over waves in a rough sea or to be on a pedestal and be hit by a powerful wake. Nice to have a sturdy foundation under you. The "sunbrella" style fabric is well riveted to the frame and has a beautiful open weave for breathability.3. The back straps are mounted to the upper side of the seat frame in the Amazon image, which is an important alteration. It is fastened to the side of the frame on the more recent form. Now pay attention to what I said: "BOLTED". Yes, you only need to replace the $2 strap if the strap ever frays or is accidentally damaged rather than the $80 seat. :-)4. Based on the photographs, it looks like the seat mount has a 5" square design.5. The frame is also bolted to the support tubes for the cross member.6. One Amazon reviewer deducted a score from the rating because the seats lacked a closed-down latch or strap. Well, it appears that they did listen, since my chairs now have seat closing snap straps.7. Mounting hardware is included with the seats. :-)To demonstrate the caliber of the welds and the general caliber of the construction, I attached a few more images. The mount and seat are independent components that are joined together using nylon locking nuts, as I did discover. Excellent design that is quite simple to separate for individuals who could have a challenging installation area.I hope that this further information is useful. ****I have not received any payment from Amazon or the maker of the seat in exchange for my review, which is solely my opinion.I appreciate you reading my review.Attwood 17720 Boat Seat Swivel has been added. I got one of these chairs for my little aluminium duck/fishing boat for my birthday. This changed the game the moment I placed it on the back bench. The boat looks and feels better than ever when I purchased a second seat up front for a second person. The boat isn't very big, but these seats unquestionably raise its value.

I bought two of these chairs and am very happy with them. They are simple to install and make fishing for a few hours at a time much more comfortable. I've had them aboard my boat for three years and still feel fantastic after using them at least three to four times per month. I'm a large, heavy guy, and they're holding up better than I could have imagined. They're built extremely well, and although I don't see them ever breaking (or, more likely, if the seat cushions ever wear), I'd be happy to purchase another pair in their place.

PRO 1: Showed up on time.2. My butt fits it.3. It was simple to attach to the support plate because it already had built-in screw holes.4. When the SUN hits the seat, white keeps it cool. There is nothing worse than ruining a fishing excursion by burning your legs on a vinyl seat.CON: I had to quickly find a seat cover because vinyl makes my butt sweat.2. Not REALLY cushey filled, so in about a year, this will be flat and feel like shoving a rod up your butt.3. In a few years, this will need to be renovated.1. If you want a low-temperature seat, buy.2. The padding is thin; DO NOT BUY if you want a really plush seat.

Each seat was given its own box when it arrived. The only drawback is that, despite the chairs' excellent construction and durability, a cap from the back slipped off after just one use and was lost. However, Sabrina at Tempress was able to send me the caps after chatting with her, providing confirmation of purchase, and taking a picture of the seat. She advised applying some adhesive sparingly to the edge and recapping the items. She also provided me with a link to portions.Compared to low back chairs, the material of the seats is incredibly durable and comfy. For durability, the seat has a hard plastic reinforcement at the fold. The existing mount was simple to affix the universal bottom to.I'm very happy, but I hope nothing else breaks.

Very comfortable and high-quality seat. acquired them on sale. Excellent for the price paid, but if not for that, I wouldn't have spent the whole $70.00 asking price. Amazing considering the $40.00 buying price at the time of the sale (for me).The straps and snaps are flimsy, and the snap immediately began to rust, therefore I deducted one star. A device that is intended to be used outdoors and near water would seem to have stainless steel snaps. So be it. fantastic stuff

The bolts are provided, and this seat has typical four-point mounting points. If you're planning to set it on a circular base, I'd advise making a mounting platform or purchasing a solid swivel mount for it. Due to the seat's firmer and denser foam filling, the seat cushion is not very soft. Sitting on it will cause it to slightly, but not significantly, compress. This is not going to be the soft and cushy seat you're searching for. This seat should be suitable for you if you're seeking for a cushioned seat at a reasonable price. The firm plastic base and what appear to be metal side hinges give the seat the appearance of being well-built. Since it only has four mounting points and is a little stiff, I gave it a rating of four stars. It also doesn't fit well on bases with five or six mounting points.

Use this on your nine-day canoe expedition across Isle Royale and on any subsequent canoe trips. It may be adjusted so you can lean back and prop your feet up if you're just drifting along or it can be slanted to assist you when you're digging in hard to move forward upstream or against a strong wind. When I went fishing, IT was a HUGE assistance. When casting or reeling in the "big one," it provided support. When you adjust the seat, it STAYS there. The split seat design enables it to lay flat on the handmade plywood seats I constructed for a canoe that lacked any or conform to the plastic molded seats. I was able to fish for hours longer than some of my buddies thanks to the cushion, which also prevented my butt from getting sore.It can be adjusted to fit practically every seat I've seen, and the bulky straps and buckles that secure it to (around) the seat have never unbuckled unless I specifically wanted them to. During portages and while riding hundreds of miles on the canoe rack, the "keep closed" strap kept the seat up and out of the way. Even when I'm paddling "white water," I utilize the seat. It has only prevented us from moving forward when we had to travel down a bank with overhanging trees, but it has provided me with the support I needed to lean back and perform some quick maneuvering (which snagged on it). A "MUST BUY" for any canoe owner!

The "built in fish measuring scale" and the complete lid of the matching cooler (54 qt) are not covered. Even the entire cooler lid is seen covered in it on the Igloo packaging. Despite this, it functions as intended, and when you're using it, you hardly even realise that the lid isn't completely covered. Even yet, I still believe it might be considerably less expensive than purchasing it through West Marine.
